I'm always amazed and impressed how well hockey players know the score. They score to go up by one, they celebrate. Score but either still down by big or up by big and just subtly acknowledge it, no big celebration just back to business.
Surprised he wasnt more hyped. Like I can see him being an elite top two center for years to come. Like this kids got the full package. Great hands, break away skill, wicked wrist shot, great one timer, elite back hand, and hes only gonna get better. The future is bright for the ducks
He reminds me quite a bit of young Ovechkin. Maybe not as speedy/flashy, but his overall game, shot/release/accuracy, and drive to compete and win are all there. In time (probably less than 2 seasons), McT may well be the Ducks' Elite 1Ca with Zegras being Elite 1Cb. I can definitely see some possible Backstrom/Ovi or McDavid/Draisatl style PP magic from those two in the future. Time will tell. Ducks Assistant GM Martin Madden is a legit Drafting wizard.
Think he’s a modern day Mario Lemieux with a stellar shot. Dominates every shift like Forsberg. I’m gonna predict him being the second best player in 3-5 years behind Mcdavid
