He looks like he will be a great addition for the Ducks. Let him soak some exp with Getzlaf a bit on wing then move him over to second line center. Just need a solid big man defensive slapshotting and hitting D like Pronger again to play with Fowler and we are set.
Reminds me bit of Darren McCarty (offensive projection while with the OHL Belville Bulls), not the fighting but skating and angles of attack with great shots to the net. McCarty was drafted in mind of being a strong positional skater/forechecker and sniper type with the physical ability to create turnovers. The grit and grind became his trademark, but the shooting prowess did not always show up, that is until his hat trick in the playoffs versus Colorado in 2002 (Game 1). Still had a very effective career.
@@justinmowbray6346 I think McTavish is a better skater and much faster than Darren was at 18 years old. Many are saying Mason may not be a NHL center but more of a LW top 6 scoring winger. PP/PK specialist with a bomb of a shot. He also a high slot positional player and will go to the front of the net and screen. Mason is not afraid to get into scrums and agitate around the net. If Steve makes another left field pick (for McTavish) this is could start of building a grind line with Givani Smith and Svech/Ras. I think McTavish also has some shades of Nazem Kadri too.
@@ericscottstevens rasmussen has become a potential checking line player? i was hoping he would be a future star for you guys. I hope Stevie Y brings the Wings back to relevancy, it was great when the Joe used to sell out every game and they were good. I'm a Ducks fan, we had some battles back then
@@justinmowbray6346 Ras can put in 17-19 minutes a game, Not sure he will ever break the 20 goal mark per year (but it would be a bonus), but he really improved his skating work along with digging the puck along the boards, and hits on the ice. He was brought in as a PP specialist and the Red Wings knew his even strength goals in the WHL with Tri Cities was lacking.
Maybe he is what Detroit needs but I haven’t seen a single mock draft that has him going there, every one that I see has him going to Ottawa or Chicago or even Vancouver
Good morning. My name is Eldar and I represent a young hockey player from a BCHL team. I have an 8 minute highlight video with the best moments from his current season. I would like to discuss an opportunity to place it (or partially) on your channel.
Kid looks good. Great hockey sense and good skating! He’ll tear San Diego up like Zegras did
He can’t play in the ahl. Because he is signed to an ohl team. It’s either Nhl or ohl

Drafted 1st round, 3rd pick by the ANAHEIM DUCKS 👍

I had this kid at 15th overall in my mock draft. I hope he proves me wrong.
You look like a clown right about now mitchy
Jake Virtanen 2.0?
God I hope not
Nah McTavish is a lot smarter than that meathead.
Mctavish is a already a better skater and is a proven leader unlike that Douchenozzle
