That K2HD technology sounds a lot like Sony's patented DSEE technology. That also adds the missing harmonics back into digital music.
Definitely a luxury item for bragging rights. That Kensei label alone is $300

I agree with the comments about the lack of any ranking.
I understand that it is difficult to keep such a detailed table as it was, comparing several hundred dongles at once.
But. Simplify it to at least the level of stars, and also add timbral matching, where there will be markers of analog and digital sound around the edges.
Without a rating system in general, all reviews will look like one: "the thing is good or not bad, with some nuances..."
But that's not enough, Andy! Your reviews were the best, and the complex rating system is one of the key factors!

It would be really great if you could atleast bring back the sound type comparison table. I think that’s a really informative way to understand whether it pairs well with my iems. I used to use it as a baseline for a lot of my purchases and never went wrong. I guess our tastes match a lot haha
Yes sure I am keeping the timbre chart. It's just that at the time of this video I was on an island distracted with so many things. FYI the Kensei sits comfortably on par to FC6 and M12i on Analog timbre

The iFi Go Blu and Hip Dac are my favorites to this day, Xbass is a way of life. I kind of love this setup for the digital filters, but another wondering if the price leap is it for me.

I know why you dropped The numbered rating system and it makes sense. But, without it I watched this review and there wasn't anything that led me to believe I should spend two and a half times as much as the DC-7 Pro or four times as much as the onix for it. Or how it compares to evenly priced items like the DC elite or the q15
Quite comparable to DC Elite and Q15, just that Q15 remains the one with denser overall sound notes with warmer coloration
ifi Go Bar : 475mW @32ohms
ifi Go Bar Kensei : 477mW @32ohms
Small difference but Kensei seem to drive better and lesser noise
Use the Turbo Mode + and - hold together Till Lights blink Up than it will Sound alot louder for over head Phones only Maybe you damage Other iem

I have the M12i and M15i and the Kensei sounds like more of a side-grade.
If I may I will ask this here (as its your newest video). I am propably looking for a new phone. How much of a difference will usb 3.1 do in comparison to usb 2.0 PD 3.1 vs 2.0 as If I am not mistaken you stated that powerful dongles sounds as good (or almost as good) from your xiaomi 9T as from your samsung galaxy S class (usb 2.0 vs 3.1). Do I have to focus on it too much or am I good with just powerful battery in combo with usb 2.0? I plan to use ovidius B1.
The truth is having both very good PD2.0 and PD 3.0 in my possession and using the two of them regularly, I don't hear any differences at all if any. Perhaps because Xiaomi implementation of PD2.0 is really good
@@donglemadness Thank you, ok so do you think I will find it in other xiaomi phones? Lets say newer ones but of a midrange class (redmi 14pro plus and so, 13pro plus, perhaps xiaomi 13T). There is a big chance right?
Way too expensive for a dongle. Was waiting for the rating part in the end haha, has become a habit I guess .
Hi Andy, I have a question to ask, I just bought the Venture Electronics ODO, and pair it with KZ ZS12 PRO X which is a hybrid iem with the impedence of 25ohm, but the ODO starts to make this hissing and high pitch noise whenever i played a track on via tidal, but when i used my other dongle dac or changed to other IEMs it works just fine. sorry if the question is not related to the reviews, cheers!!!
I have no idea what's happening here. Might be the ZAS just will not work with ODO probably
