Hi.. it was fab Kyle... We both loved it.. great footage .. glad we saw hayley at the end .. Sol Ramb and Lou and Lol we spotted . Great job.. thanks again Ali/R x
Great vid mate, that is one of the best walks I've done in the peaks, and I've done a few hundred, if you had looked closely at the peat when you walk down that deep grough you would have seen lumps of would in it, this is what's left from when that area was covered in trees 👍
Hey Graham, thanks for tuning in as usual, we always appreciate it 👍 It's not a bad little spot is it really? Was very quiet too! Had no idea tree's use to be up there at the top. It's very open and baron up there!
It's on my list. I plotted it as 8 mile round trip from Fairholmes. Never thought of hiring a bike. I was going to hike it. Great vlog as always. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks again Chris. Yeah I would say end to end without filming it would be about 8 miles as you say, so not too bad really 👍 Keep it on your list, it's well worth the hike
Nice vlog, Kyle. As always, you keep it interesting. Thanks, mate. We'll get the details next year when we arrive. 4 days and we start fulltime travel ❤
Great video Kyle, deffo preferred the first cabin😅 loved the woods you saw on the way, thank you for sharing and it was lovely to see Hayley at the end, lots of love and hugs to you both ❤❤❤💚💙xxxxxxx
Hiya Rachel! Yeah I think Kyle said he didn't see a soul! Meanwhile I was on the walk with Lou and Lol and saw plenty of folk and double the amount of caterpillars 😂 xx
Great video Kyle. So glad we got to see Hayley at the end as well. Fascinating stuff that peat! Would really like to get up there myself. Haven't been up there in ages! Thanks for sharing with us! Love Mutti xx❤️💚🔥
So cool that you can rent bikes there!! James has been to that area before - we definitely miss living close to Peak District, so we love watching your videos ❤
😁 Great solo video kyle and shoutout about the cycle hire 👍 As you ventured along the peat corridor it reminded me of my very first time up on kinder scout, on my own in them deep water run off channel's in thick mist.. Very eerie indeed.. I thought it may have been the shooting cabins up on the moors but wasnt sure. But yep, they are on the OS map 👍 A new challenge for me to do on day hikes ie search out these hidden gems 😁 Had a belter of a day today you two, tried to find all the ancient monuments and stone circles from one of your previous vlogs 👍 8 + miles and 10 hrs mooching on foot 😁 nope, didnt find all of them, but enjoy the day 😁 Nice to see hayley at the end and you did a great solo mission 😁👍
Very enjoyable video (although sad to not see Hayley along for the whole adventure). Cool looking place up there, curious to go and check out these cabins myself. I also know another one close to Buxton that you should visit some time 🏠
It ended up being quite the hike, (hence the bike). Very quiet and remote up there but wouldn't have been suitable for doggies on the day we filmed as it was really hot and muggy. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
Camped out there about 25 years ago. Luckily got there about an hour before two other guys. They choose to sleep in the other one rather than share with us.....their loss, Cheers Mick
Hey Morning Chaser 👋😊 Thank you so much for watching and your positive feedback. Always makes us happy to see you in the comments. Regarding how we find these places, we just stare at OS maps for a really, really long time 😂
Dude bamford edge memorial day the Lancaster with be bombing about then it does a big loop around Yorkshire and Derbyshire hitting up all the manor houses I believe
Ahhh didn't know that. I've always just seen pictures from other people of the low flyers. Thanks for the extra info and thank you for checking out the video, we both appreciate it 😊👍
@@HayandKyle don't worry about it guys you two keep showing off bothies in the peaks so it's only rate to share when to find the awesome old planes in action so you can hear them doing there fly by one day
Hi Kyle, great video of your solo journey to find the 2 remote cabins. Between the bike ride and the on foot hiking it seems like you got your exercise in for the day. Glad you accomplished your mission of finding the 2 cabins. The first one was quite well maintained and would definitely pick that one to stay in. Too bad the windows were broken but the rest seemed pretty good. Glad you checked out the second one to compare. I guess your bike was were you left it unharmed. Glad to see and hear from Haley at the end of the video. Never was to the Peak District in person, so glad to experience it on your videos.
Hi Ben 😊👋 Thanks for tuning in!! I think we both got way more exercise that we bargained for on our respective journeys that day 😅 And yes, the bike was ok when I got back to it. Can only put that down to the trusty nettles keeping would-be thieves at bay 🌿☣️
You succeeded very well without your wife! Beautiful imagery, some interesting info, set in this gorgeous landscape. I just noticed the sound of the music was a bit too loud compared to your voice (haha I had to turn down the volume when the music started)!
Thank you so much! 🤗 It's interesting you mention the volume of music as you're the second person to say so. So we can improve for next time, was it all music? Or just the cycling music for example? Thanks 🎵
@@HayandKyle Not sure what you mean with the "cycling music" (my bad English ;-) ) but it was just the music you added in between the original sounds (you talking) of the film, mainly throughout the whole video. Nevertheless I loved it. We were in the Peak Distrcit last year in the summer (went to a friend's wedding in gorgeous Anglesey before!) but it was in the heatwave with 40 degrees Celsius. Love to see all of the Hay&Kyle videos! :)
Fab video Kyle, Hayley’s walk sounded fun too! Love the idea of using the bike to cover distance faster, we used to love MTB downhill trails and you made us want to get back to it and try it like this too!
I love the apocalytic cinematic eerie feel to the Bothy's/Cabins of course the 1st one is more inviting - The Tories who want to shoot the Grouse are repulsive human beings & I agree with you. Can see that walking through the trench to the 1st cabin genuinely caused a haunting feel to it & reaction in you !!! - the scarcer the better !!! Excellent music & showing the Bike hire - I was in Fairholmes seeing Derwent Dam last year & want to see Derwent Edge next & really liked you showing a more barren wilderness in this one.

Hi, another great video 📹 Kyle, thanks, I have been to carsington today with Dexter ❤
Hi Pam hope you had a great time at Carsington Water 👍 the weather has been lovely today 😊
I've just been to that cabin part of my multi day hike around the peak district saw your note in the book and now I'm here haha
I must say I had no idea they were there just stumbled across them hadn't seen anyone for a day and a half around that area

the volume of the music near the start was incredibly overwhelming btw
music all the way through being so loud made the video unwatchable
Thanks for your honest feedback. The audio is actually balanced very carefully and in no different way to our previous videos, so interesting 🤔
