That is an incredible and incredibly thorough excursion. Such a beautiful, untouched (as far as I can tell), out-of-the-way place. I can just smell the gloriously fresh, tropical fauna. And the olde tymey atmosphere of the ship just adds to it.

We have had a stop at Belize on a previous Silversea cruise, a few years ago now. We did a snorkelling trip if memory serves me correctly, but the weather wasn’t great and the sea was murky and choppy so not the best excursion we’ve ever done! Maybe we should plan a revisit 🤷 😁
@@visitwithus aww, yeah, it’s no fun to snorkel anywhere when conditions are like that. We had that in Florida once as well. You should definitely give them another try 😁 It’s gorgeous and I think it’d be right up your alley. Plus the food is amazing!
I have fond memories of Moorea - I learned to waterski there thanks to the Paul Gauguin.
We would love to go back and spend more time at both Moorea and Bora Bora, both of which we fell in love with - though all the islands were wonderful to be honest 😍

Firstly, and most importantly...Thank you for the great videos, they brought back great memories. If you've looked at my instagram in the last day or so, you can see we decided to take the family to Jamacia this year, of course the debate on where to spend the inheritance next year got going near the end of the week, right now it's a coin flip between back to the house or a Windstar cruise around French Polynesia, I will have to pass this series on to the family to help persuade them in the direction I want to go....Or tell them they have to pay for their part of the trip.....

Gorgeous video and the island is indeed absolutely beautiful. Your ride in the 4 x 4 was a bit treacherous to say the least. I have French Polynesia on my future list, probably not until 2025 or 2026. We were doing just one 19 day cruise this year with Viking in the Baltic, but, my travel advisor put together a small group cruise with Avalon for the Christmas Markets in December so we booked it as well. Three days in Prague and then 8 days on the Danube to Budapest visiting all the Christmas markets along the way. Will be cold, but, well worth it.
That sound wonderful, we’ve yet to do a Christmas market river cruise but hope to get round to it one year 🤞

Two 70 year old men, Mike and Joe, have been friends all of their lives. When it's clear that Joe is dying, Mike visits him every day.
One day Mike says, "Joe, we both loved football all our lives, and we played football on Saturdays together for so many years. Please do me one favour, when you get to Heaven, somehow you must let me know if there's football there."
Joe looks up at Mike from his death bed," Mike, you've been my best friend for many years. If it's at all possible, I'll do this favour for you. Shortly after that, Joe sadly passes on.
At midnight a couple of nights later, Mike is awakened from a sound sleep by a blinding flash of white light and a voice calling out to him, "Mike--Mike."
"Who is it? asks Mike sitting up suddenly. "Who is it?"
"Mike--it's me, Joe."
"You're not Joe. Joe just died!"
"I'm telling you, it's me, Joe," insists the voice."
"Joe! Where are you?"
"In heaven", replies Joe. "I have some really good news and a little bad news."
"Tell me the good news first," says Mike.
"The good news," Joe says," is that there's football in heaven. Better yet, all of our old friends who died before us are here, too. Better than that, we're all young again. Better still, it's always spring time and it never rains or snows. Our wives are there too, and young and pretty as ever! And best of all, we can play football all we want, and we never get tired!!"
That's fantastic," says Mike. "It's beyond my wildest dreams! So what's the bad news?

We were there at the end of April/beginning of May. We were really lucky with the weather, had only passing showers expect for our last day which we spent at the Intercontinental hiding from the downpours waiting for our late night flight 😆

How does Tahiti/French Polynesia compare to the Hawaiian Islands?
Unfortunately we have yet to visit Hawaii so can’t offer any advise on the similarities/differences. Hopefully we’ll get to Hawaii some time soon, it’s somewhere we really want to see 🤞

Was this filmed during the "masks are mandatory era" or was it recently and still mandatory?
This was filmed in May 2022 when masks were still required indoors. Wouldn’t think they are still required but not 100% sure 🤷
