JUST AS GOOD AS GOLD!!...Thank you soooo much for posting and sharing this "VERY-rarely-heard-anymore" and "hard-to-find" lil' country gem that reached #34 back in March 1970...I thoroughly enjoyed it!...(and the sound quality is first-rate too!!(...take care! :)
In all the releases she did with Chart it's her best vocal performance she was young wanting to fill the void where Lynn left off but not all expectations may turn out everyone expected would which even through struggles they simply couldn't promote her so she left and landed on a bigger labal but that honeymoon was short lived.
Nice cover version of the Chip Taylor tune you can't imitate Lynn Anderson & Connie Smith which if she had her own voice the song would've charted higher . The only thing that was fitting was her good looks that turned many heads in Nashville but with only two top 40 hits she didn't habe the high successes Lynn had and by the end of the 70's she was gone.
@@clapolla Yep which this was where Chart when they merge with Audio Fidelity this was where it went down hill which they didn't know how to properly promote country singles hoping they'll cross on the pop charts which fell short and Connie may had been missguided which would deflate her career within five years

I love it, so memories.
Sehr schöne Version, Stimme und Sängerin.🥰
Certainly the most effortless of the covers.

I didn't know anyone even remembered her. I was still in high school when I heard her.
What a set of pipes!
Beautiful.
Très belle voix, excellent
I like this version as much as Merilee Rush. She has the right kind of voice. A great voice in fact.
Nice arrangement.
Honestly this little gem should have charted much better

She has a nice voice for sure but, as you said, she sounds exactly like a mixture of Lynn Anderson & Connie Smith

Too many covers of this song. This version lacks depth. Sorry.
