He is so right about the bus thing. Even being an Indian, I remember I almost had anxiety attack due to the crowd in the bus, I felt so claustrophobic I still remember till this day.

Have you ever visited NE India ? You'll be surprised ! It's completely different with the rest of India ! People (race), place , culture , traditions and so on ! Edit - You'd think you're in other asian countries like China , Japan ,Korea, Phillipines etc ! Nagaland, a state in the NE has English as it's official language !

Maybe he is mistaken. South uses less spices than the north. The food their is more satvik there. The most oily and spicy chicken curry are from the north.

The bus thing depends on the bus. Buses that run within the city tend to be more crowded, though you get lucky at times (if you wait 🤣). Most buses that travel between cities are kinda better, some won't be crowded at all, some will be, it varies a lot. It's generally a good idea to avoid trying to get on moving bus, but people who are in hurry will do it anyway.

The food thing is not exactly coz of religion... Odisha have 98% Hindus but we eat every kind of meat and seafood...
And also follow niramish(vegan exclude onion and garlic as well) food at a certain time period... It's the culture...
Thr food choices are because the geography changes, north part is mostly very fertile n green belt of India so people never had an issue finding food, but south had to adapt meat as well

What he is describing is 98% of indians day to day life. It is the reason why we indian-americans don't play the victim card like other ethnicities there because they appreciate a lot of what they have been provided with. I thinks it's pretty common accross the Asia and asian folks.

I like all your bus stories....reminds me of my school days.School kids get discounts in bus fares so literally if there was a class system in buses students have to considered the lowest class.Bus conductor(Ticket) and Bus driver and rest of the public used to hate students as they were kind of like free loaders. So foot boarding and smashing on to peoples backs in something I am familiar..Don't think I could that now though.

It'll depend on where you eat. Some places will be pretty clean, some not so much. Obviously we don't eat at places that aren't clean either. I mean, can you imagine how many people will get sick if we did? Just be careful as you're eating outside in any other country, you'll be fine in India as well.

Funny one. Lefta and righta is only in South. Noone uses that term in the North. It's Left or Right and out of all the languages that you mentioned has base in Sanskrit , its only Hindi that has pure base in Sanskrit. The other languages that you mentioned (Tamil , Telugu and Kannada ) has loan words from Sanskrit but their base is not Sanskrit.
And yes Non veg culture is much more stronger in the North than any part of India.
Going by your experience it seems you have spent most of your time in southern India.
There is a reason India is call Diverse (Because it's diverse in every possible way) and still united . It will take a lifetime to explore India in depth. But thanks , for sharing your insight.
