Hi all, I worked at Norton from '91 to '93 (when we closed) and met Trevor and the other guys a few times. I worked on the last few F1's and built about 2/3rds of the F1 Sports we produced. This video brings back so many great memories of working for Norton, building the bikes, meeting the riders, being on TV (Sir John Harvey Jones Troobleshooter programme - remember it?). I worked on the TT winning bike and also with Mr Crichton and Mr Negus, the real brains behind those successful days........
One of the best videos on the Internet!!! If you can't get excited over the visuals and the sound, you might want to check your pulse to see if you are alive. Norton! Norton! Norton!
Thanks so much for posting this Richard. I got an adrenalin rush just hearing the jps again . I was involved in the Ulster road racing scene from `88- `92, and was lucky enough to see Robert Dunlop and Trevor Nation race the F1 at the NW200 and the Ulster GP. Ahhh! good times. The tickover alone is awesome, bombombombombombom. But when she wails...........it touches the soul.
Just watched this for the first time and am well impressed by both bike and rider. I remember watching him and I think it was Terry Rymer riding these beasts back in the day but had forgotten how good he was. I couldn't believe how early on the throttle he is coming out of corners.
Brilliantly jps Norton recreation, in a league of its own even in detuned form, couldn't help but notice sounds like clutch slip on up shifts🤔 Fantastic to watch👍
How good is this i love it. Does anyone remember when Wayne rainey, John K, Trevor Nation and Steve Spray swapped bikes at Brands on a charity weekend?
Trevor has not lost his speed.Best wishes to Mandy his wife and hope to meet you both again in the uk. Peter Rowlands at present in Cyprus.having sailed the Med
Thanks very much for posting this, absolutely awesome. Are there going to be any more oppertunities like this to see Clever Trevor riding the Norton? I have some great memories of watching the nortons racing at Thruxton,Donington park and also at Castle combe during the spring cup and would love to see Trev riding the screaming rotory again,he is a road racing god.
great bike, ive heard crighton will be racing their 700cc rotary bike on the isle of man tt this year so I hope rotary bikes will make a comeback as they are using fuel injection to beat emission regulations

Richard Negus rebuilt the engine on my Interpol 2, I spent the afternoon at Shenstone and it was an experience I won’t forget.

Well that was rather splendid! Nice job, Trevor.
It would be so cool to see one at a historic event in the USA.
