    Pye does such an amazing job educating and demonstrating thought processes and how they can be used in your workflow

    This is such a helpful demonstration of light qualities for those trying to figure out the intricacies of hard vs soft, specular vs diffuse, large vs small, etc.... Well done Pye and MagMod!

    Yes!! Another great MagPye video flying in to help newer MagModders like me see the differences in light. Thank you both so much! 😃👍
    When going through the snoot levels, it made me think of the MagBeam/Masks that I own and how I don't see the Mask pattern unless the Beam is fully collapsed. Any plans for a MagBeam tutorial?
    Also, my wife loves putting on the MagSphere too Pye 😂 it seriously is so fun.

    I appreciate the simple and straight forward nature of this demonstration. I would like to see a similar demonstration in which you are hitting the background with a colored light and how you can control the spill from the main light on the background.

    Thanks for this video. I use Godox flashes and i just got my MagMod system to pair with it. I have nearly all the color gels, so I'd be interested to see a reference video for those as well. I have 1st and 2nd generation gels.

    LOTS of people think magmod products are too gd expensive so including the side by side of the magspehere vs the magbox 24 w/ & w/o the grid was a great way to show the light fall off, the difference in light quality, & set up time. This will be a great way to get people in the magmod system without having to spend more than $100 by choosing the sphere & grid to work their way up to the boxes.

    Pye, this is the best video you've ever done - and that's saying something because I've learned nearly everything I know about photography from you. I have everything but the 42 magbox. So while I thank you for this video, my wallet curses you for this video because now I'm going to go buy the 42 haha.

    Very useful video, controlling every factor other than the modifier is SO useful towards appreciating the impact on quality. Nice style and very useful.

    Great video and very well presented 👍 I’m a Godox user but I’m curious to try these Magmod products especially the Magmod modifiers like the mag bounce and mag beem and the gels to try at events and receptions as they have great reviews

    Great video, I have all these mods and the 24 and 48 are my favourites, especially for dropping the gels in, such a shame the 36" strips don;t allow the gels to pop in as easily at all, measurement is just slightly off on them holders.

    Thanks, Pye- clear and to the point video as usual -plus your personality makes it fun to watch.. Very helpful since I have all the Magmod items except the 42 octa. What w/b awesome is a downloadable chart that has all the images to see them in one place.

    Thanks for this video, really helps to show the difference between the products. I did notice one thing, there seems to be a slight color shift between modifiers. Is this because of AWB? Is there a way to eliminate this color shift?

    Fantastic video! You’ve helped me better understand various modifiers before I buy them! I’m just curious how much the angle of the MagSphere changes things. In the video you had it aimed directly at the model, but I’m curious how it would’ve changed if angled up, both in light quality and flash power strength needed. Thanks again for a great video!

    • @MagnetMod
      @MagnetMod  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you found the video helpful. If you were to point the MagSphere up it would really depend on the type of room and ceiling you have. It would also depend on the color of the ceiling. It will throw light forward, but you would have quite a bit of it going up and bouncing off the ceiling as well which would be variable based on what it was bouncing off of and how high up it is.

    What would be cool is to compare the magbox against other softboxes like the glow ez or the akr1 kit vs the magmod equivalent

  • @TabithaKristine-u8r
    @TabithaKristine-u8r ปีที่แล้ว

    When you say "bare bulb" in the beginning, do you mean bare bulb, or do you mean fresnel head as a base? I can't quite tell. After the base shots for comparison, it looks like it must be the fresnel head to be able to attach all the magmod products like you are, but it wouldn't seem an equal comparison if your actual base shot was bare bulb. Thank you for any info! Trying to nail the best scenario for portable flash that won't get knocked down in the wind during my on-the-go, outdoor senior pictures.

    Magmod needs a new magsphere and magbounce that fits with the round Westcott FJ80 II and Godox V1. The current ones don't fit or are too tight and a pain to put on.
