Hey, I am a student of law. As per a recent deliberation held on 2nd june it has been stated that customer’s entry into a restaurant cannot itself be “construed as a consent to pay a service charge. And any restriction on entry based on payment of service charges is a violation of the Consumer Protection Act. So, irrespective of your dining inside or outside the resturant the resturant cannot charge you service charge by default. You cab ask them for a redund or better file a consumer complaint. I am pretty sure the compensation would be enough to help you churn out a few more lalit's menu item videos.
Another thing is If the service charges are mentioned in the menu card then it's an automatic consent of the costumer doesn't matter even if he didn't see it Basically they are informed about the service charges before even ordering the food then they have no right to get those removed All though Some restaurants remove service charges even after mentioning it on the menu card if your order is pretty big
