This makes me want this one I want the gold burst but now I’m constantly thinking of you and this vid this unbelievable unboxing is incredible I need this one ❤
I’ve seen pictures of him playing it online. I’ll be at the Avenged Sevenfold show in Jakarta next month. So I’ll get to see his in action then! But what I really wanna see is that upcoming Headless guitar!
Thanks for the vid! Was gonna grab the Satin Gold burst but I think I’m leaning more towards this one! Just don’t understand why this model is 1,999 and the gold burst is 1,399
I'm considering buying this guitar. I'm a huge fan of Synyster and Avenged, and I've wanted a Syn guitar for a while now. What catches my attention is that it doesn't come with a case, which is a bit disappointing. Especially considering that Tom DeLonge's Fender Stratocaster comes with a Gig Bag at least, and it costs $1,299 dollars. The fact that this Synyster model doesn't come with at least a Gig Bag is a bit annoying. But, well, it doesn't stop me from buying it, to be honest. It's just an observation.
That’s an issue for me too. For that price I would have expected AT LEAST a bag. And the fact it doesn’t come with it and the shape being this odd ball shape, it’s not easy to find bags or cases at my local store that can fit this. Ordering a Schecter avenger hard case shipped here will cost a bomb and ordering from our official retailer will take months and also expensive. It’s a bummer but in the end not a deal breaker for me as this guitar is still amazing! And I did end up managing to find an esp padded gig bag that is able to fit this
Man, there's a satin red avenger with block inlays, so not a full blown Gates. Stunning looking. I don't like this relic, it's ridiculously overdone and not realistic play wear, and then as he pointed out, they then sealed in the relic job with polyurethane so it won't continue to wear. Idiots. Yeah it is unreal how none of these miserly companies will include the cheapest bag just to carry it to and fro, one that costs them maybe 7 dollars wholesale per item. They ship 1200 dollar guitar in a thin sheath and often don't even polish the frets etc. Schecter is supposedly a lot better than Charvel for example in terms of QC though.
@@guyincognito320 it’s def unrealistic wear. And the curves look too unnatural when u look up close. From a distance I love it though. But I wish they didn’t put the lacquer over the “relic” defeats the purpose of it being a relic
@@batzz3177I would agree that it’s not realistic aging, but it’s supposed to look like that. It’s supposed to look like it was burnt in a fire. In the song Mattel, they reference being in hell, and I think it’s a pretty cool allusion to the song.
For sure. Personally not a deal breaker coz it still looks killer and feels amazing to play but if its not going to be a “relic” don’t call it a “relic”. By feel it def feels like a brand new guitar with a fresh coat of paint. I get it, it’s not a custom shop but there’s been brands that make retail mid range relic guitars that do feel like relics. So I just felt this one could’ve been done better. Or at least simply don’t call it a relic and we good haha.
@@wiseguy9202 oh if that’s what you like then this guitar will NOT disappoint. It feels very comfortable to play. No complains in that department! And it’s still cool looking aesthetically
I’ll say this. For them to call this a “relic” (at least it said so on the box) is completely false. I would consider this a newly finished guitar made to look like a relic. I’m disappointed that this is what they call “relic”
@@EphemeralFilmCOthe overall guitar looks cool. I have no complains in that department. I’m just disappointed in the “relic”. I think I wouldn’t have been as bothered if they didn’t call it a relic at all. Not a complete deal breaker for me. Still a cool looking and comfy guitar to play. But I had to be honest with the parts I don’t like too haha
this is the most beautiful guitar i've ever seen from schecter..

@@DanSing-rr6ge appreciate your kind words! Yes this distressed is now my favourite aesthetic wise!
Great Review dude! The guitar looks awesome! We need more Syn Gates content creators out there!
Thanks man! I wish I did a video back when I got the satin gold! But I wasn’t as active then!
Got mine in last week 👍 love every bit of it
It feels so comfortable to play! I still need to get it set up though. But out of the box it already feels great
I was gonna say, it’s extremely comfortable
@@colll3975 very. The body is pretty much similar to a Jazzmaster besides the horns. Contoured at all the right places
Woawwwwwwww thats hella awesome looking! I'm jelouse as fudge!
Can we hear it as well? I'm really eagure to listen to it played!
I love the guitar so much! I’m trying to get the proper equipment to start posting playing videos. I’ll eventually do one.
Saw him playing one of these a few weeks ago on the third leg, looked incredible. A little underwhelming close up tbh, but still a sweet guitar

Appreciate u! I’m not sure too! But I think aesthetically I do prefer this one over the gold burst!
Sick guitar, but you want raw wood? Do you want splinters?
I probably worded it wrong but I meant the wood without the lacquer layer

I got one coming in tomorrow...
Nice!! Let me know what you think of it!
How’s the action right out of the box??
Honestly abit too high for my personal liking and my neck is abit twisted
@@batzz3177 damn that’s a shame lol.. how about the satin gold ??
I really like the look of the guitar. Just wish they did some simple or no inlays. The inlays look to corny for my taste.
I prefer the Syn logo inlays like on the custom shops. Much simpler and cleaner. These ones got abit too much going on for sure.
this is the first semi good looking syn gates guitar (i really just dont like the shape)
I don’t really like top horn popping out this much. Other than that the guitar is pretty comfortable to play like a Jazzmaster
Yeah these aren't going to be a real relic which is both feel and appearance. Just the look from a distance.
