No need to explain yourself, man! Steve speaks the analog truth! And it's nothing short of greatness in this day and age of our "busy" lives. He's on the level of something we've all been thinking.
I think one of the many reasons I enjoy this channel is all the love the viewers show Steve. The two step fund, tarp fund etc... are not just so we can watch and enjoy, it's also for Steve to be comfortable on his trips. ❤
I love your videos. When I was younger, my boyfriend and I would stealth camp all the time and you bring back all the great memories. Keep up these stealth urban camping you do.
We use to all the time too, although we never called it stealth camping, just camping in random spots, usually down and off railroad tracks. Got busted by cops many times too, well, not busted, we'd run when we'd see them coming with flashlights.

Every once in a while I catch someone camping on my property. I have 3 rules, 1) keep it quiet 2) take your trash with you. 3) stay away from my house unless you have an absolute emergency

I like listening to Steve’s accent. Also like when Crazy Neighbor is in a video. An I absolutely love Canada! Been there twice an it is the nicest most respectful place I’ve ever been too.
Steve, thanks for all your videos. I used to hike, camp and enjoy outdoors, but that was some years ago. Before watching your channel I had given up on getting back out there. Now I have gotten a renewed determination to camp, even if that means car camping, but having health challenges I'll be thrilled with that. Your adventures are always a kick in the pants. Keep up the good work.
Having been homeless for about 15 months, I have to say even I am impressed. The biggest problem with homeless urban campers is that many of them simply don't take care of their surroundings (dumping trash everywhere, which can really only be cleaned up by burning trash) and many of them don't stay out of the way. I was very careful not to make myself a nuisance, especially not to local businesses. Of course, it helped I was camped in an out of the way place that was along a set of railroad tracks. So, yea, subscribed!
25:41 The speed you're packing your things away like the kids group is going to place you under citizens arrest as the sound of the helicopter circles above had me laughing out loud 🤣🤣🤣
Im so glad Steves Channel was recommended to me, at first I thought he was just a City Guy who likes to camp out and about, but after seeing the Boondocking Documentary I know he's the real deal and he knows what he's doing. He is an original.
Steve I'm a new subscriber from south Wales in great Britain. Your channel is absolutely fantastic, I can't stop watching. The "little sandwich" that you pulled out of your bag whilst doing a stealth camp in your car at an airport was hilarious. That think could have fed a family of five for a week 🙌
Here's a tip: Don't keep using the same wild tracks. Conceal your tracks, especially the exit, and take different routes to your camp. (Keen bushies, like park rangers, will pick up on these subtleties; city folk... not so much.)
Yeah I appreciate his advice and videos. He is always so happy just to camp and enjoy the outdoors. And as I've said before. My favorite Canadian of all time
Always enjoy your content brother. Try to hang a reflective emergency blanket on the inside of your tarp next time. It will block the light from passing through the tarp making you visible from the trail and also seriously intensify the heat you are getting from such a small hear source. They are small, cheap and pack well, but if you buy real cheap ones they can be loud so just be aware. Hunker down!
I have to admit, watching these videos is like brushing up on my apocalyptic walking dead, bugging out skills. It gives me comfort to know I don't need all kinds of expensive gear to survive at least one night. Lol!
These vids make my day. I can't camp anymore, so I'm experiencing this vicariously through you, hoping to gain enough knowledge to be useful upon my recovery.
I think my favorite parts is where are you going to be, what kind of set up you’re gonna have, what beer you brought, and what you’re going to make for supper. So I guess pretty much I like all your video. 😂
Steve, you are killing it out there, we were watching one of Ken Domick's videos and he sent us your way! We've been hooked ever since! Cheers from Red Deer!
Hey Steve- Terrific video! For some time I have wanted to incorporate just this type of trip for my Boy Scout troop with my grandsons, but everything has to be on the up-and-up with Scouting. My fondest memories of my early teen years were sneaking around trying to remain undetected on my furtive overnight camping trips in Rhode Island, a fairly densely populated US state on the East coast. I think most every kid loves to sneak, and everyone would agree that it's best to perfect the skill when the consequences of being detected are not severe, in preparation for a time when detection may be catastrophic. You capture the fun perfectly with your camera shots towards the trail, your running commentary and your glances at the camera as you speak. Don't lose your adventurous spirit. Ted
Top tip. Put your tablet burner inside another foil tray. Keeps the flame away from the ground in case there is a fire risk, and reflects the heat upwards. And afterwards you can wrap the dirty sooty object up. I learnt this in my Army days when all we had were these tablet burners. We called them Hexis (short for hexamine cookers).

It's kind of funny but people think you're a weirdo if you camp in urban areas so it makes sense to want to be unseen
It practically is! Ever ate ketchum and mustard packets cause they're free?
@@lyndelbeckwith1706 most mustard has zero calories and they aren't free, wtf =p =]

Steve is awesome, camping “inconspicuously” and “I need to set my alarm because I work tomorrow” 😂 Only guy I know that voluntarily vamps and goes to work the next morning... Love it

“I like cans that open like dog food...”. This guy is the BEST! So low key, but so entertaining!
I’m a huge fan of this guy, I love the dry sense of humor. I think everyone has an uncle like him, and if they don’t, they’re missing out!
Another classic episode of Steve camping in the woods. All his videos have a 'feel-good' vibe !
Your respect for nature has earned a sub. I to find myself picking up after others when I am out and about on outings. I wish more would follow suit.
27:00. “Perfect. Now there’s no evidence I was ever even here.... aside from this video.” 😂
"If you made it this far with a guy camping in the city woods cooking chili, you may as well just subscribe, and there is more if you can put up with this, if you like it even better"
pure gold haha.
I love when Steve is like: hey, I'm a weirdo, but you're watching this so what's wrong with you?

Some People are just addicted to Hunkering Down
Ouches Von Doom there called "Hunkies."
@Gator Hogg Steve needs to get HUNKERNADIANS on a TSHIRT!
Yes and a lot of hard liquor
Mate, seeing you drinking rum always makes me smile. You are so real! More real than any other bush crafter! Other ones just trying to teach you all that camping stuff and you just go to the forest and enjoy that enterprise without any silly things.
All the best for you!
That's one of the reasons I love the channel so much it's just a regular guy doing regular guy stuff enjoying nature like a lot of us would like to do more often
I love the fact he's completely content eating chili and chips mixed in the bag which he is holding in his hand to avoid getting a bowl dirty. We're talking 110% relatable. And treating each stealth mission as a...quasi combat mission.
and ruining his guttyworks (there is zero nutrition in junk / canned "food")

Steve, you're providing a good service here ... videos like this could really help teach some basics to those who find themselves homeless . good stuff !
Classic Boat Mike off grid experiments That is so sad, but I guess true.😔
@PushandillPushback yes cause homelessness is a choice
Park rangers in Edmonton are teally diligent at turfing homeless from the river valley so they can sleep in tents downtown...go figure.
We'd all rather be camping. But, since we can't. Watching Steve's camping videos is the next best thing. 🏕️
It's kind of uncomfortable locally here. 99°F with 80% humidity just takes the fun out of camping.
“Place is crawling with big hairy beavers.” 😂😂😂 love this channel !

When is the Patreon account coming Steve?
Me too!!
Thanks Vanessa!
We use to all the time too, although we never called it stealth camping, just camping in random spots, usually down and off railroad tracks. Got busted by cops many times too, well, not busted, we'd run when we'd see them coming with flashlights.
And just what might some of those great memories be Vanessa?😉
I'm sitting in a parking lot eating a McRib between my job sites watching a man camp in the bushes and yeah I will subscribe that's for sure!! Best thing on TH-cam
Josh Upthegrove that mcrib sounds good
Which McDonald’s is selling McRib’s?? Please tell
They dont kook mkribs no mo
''An informal study from 2011 entitled "A Conspiracy of Hogs: The McRib as Arbitrage" illustrates a correlation between the price of pork and the timing of McDonald's offering the sandwich; all five of the US McRib offerings between 2005 and 2011 occurred during low points in the price of bulk pork.''
Three years ago now..wow! Time flies. 💛 you Steve
Every once in a while I catch someone camping on my property. I have 3 rules, 1) keep it quiet
2) take your trash with you. 3) stay away from my house unless you have an absolute emergency
@Mike Wilhelmson
I actually bought this property from the gentleman who would let myself and friends camp here under the same conditions
@Karen Lee
If you were to camp on my property I would have to add a few more rules to my list
Please take down your shelter when you leave and DO NOT CUT DOWN MY TREES.....LOL.... seriously

Love it! This is how we camp as well: blue tarps, shitty gear, canned food and whiskey. But the memories made around the fire are priceless.
I love watching your stealth camping. I can’t sleep on the ground anymore so I camp vicariously through you
I love how this looks like its just between us. But it’s on YT.
So cool to see a video of the trails we walk all the time. 😜

"THOSE NEWFY'S LIKE SOME POWERFUL RUM....WOW!! 40 PERCENT...just normal". lol :D you crack me up.
Binge watching old Steve video's and lovin it.❤
25:41 The speed you're packing your things away like the kids group is going to place you under citizens arrest as the sound of the helicopter circles above had me laughing out loud 🤣🤣🤣

I love going back and rewatching these old videos, shocked there was no Texas Mexico cheese with the chilli 😂
Here's a tip: Don't keep using the same wild tracks.
Conceal your tracks, especially the exit, and take different routes to your camp.
(Keen bushies, like park rangers, will pick up on these subtleties; city folk... not so much.)
Fuck them rangers. Shoot them
@@rudystraight1750 that just leads to trouble

Yeah I appreciate his advice and videos. He is always so happy just to camp and enjoy the outdoors. And as I've said before. My favorite Canadian of all time
Always enjoy your content brother. Try to hang a reflective emergency blanket on the inside of your tarp next time. It will block the light from passing through the tarp making you visible from the trail and also seriously intensify the heat you are getting from such a small hear source. They are small, cheap and pack well, but if you buy real cheap ones they can be loud so just be aware. Hunker down!

The helicopter heard the crinkle of that fake frito bag for sure.
