I respect your determination to play The Lion King game, Mal. That's a game that was once hard for me as a kid but now every blue moon, I'll pop it in to make sure I can still beat it in an hour or two. Very unforgiving game but I love it. ^^
I saw that vlog. I had just started watching back episodes of breakfast stream. And I had no idea who Thomas was. Now I'm taking The Journey, and I watched the episodes not too long ago where you first met Thomas in person.
Can we just appreciate that out of all of the card games Thomas played with Joker, he didn't mention the actual card game that you can play in Persona 5
Yeah I've had trouble with the wildebeest stage a few times. It's the depth perception that messes with you. This and the "I can't wait to be king" stage were the ones I had trouble with.
I could imagine Stephen and Mal really liking Persona V. I don't say that just as the usual "OMG PLAY THIS GAME I LIKE AS A LETS PLAY STEVEN AND MEL" imperatives. I just know that they like Earthbound and Mother 3 a lot and those games are both stylish and quirky JRPGs with good senses of humor, good characters, solid mechanics, and stories which dip a little bit into themes of politics and evil and human nature while mostly being fun. Persona V is not Earthbound, but a lot of those descriptors which I applied to Earthbound and Mother 3 also apply just as well to Persona V. Of course, I have no idea when Stephen and Mal would have the time for a 70-100 hour RPG with their current schedules.
My only concern is the existence of Royal and...the play time. Cause Stephen typically likes to 100% games, and I don't think he's got the urge to do a 100+ episode project given how Fallout is still in the making. Also the intricate mechanics like Confidants, Persona fusion, the schedule management, and a number of other smaller factors are also rise for concern.
Yeah, both of those things came to mind. I'm more confident that they would like the game on or off screen than that it would be a game they should choose for a project right now. Because it is so long.
I do think on normal difficulty that it isn't necessary to optimize all the intricate systems to see all the story content and that getting all the personas is a NG+ kind of goal, if one really wants to do it. That being said, I really am suggesting it as a game they'd probably enjoy more than asking for an LP project. They're already about to start on BotW in the nearish future and I don't know that anyone has talked Stephen out of 100 percenting that game yet, poor guy.
The tags on this video would make the weirdest crossover ever. And I think it my go something like this Both persona and Mario characters are playable racers but the “carts” are lion king characters and other animals that can be found in the Pride lands and Beyond, minus Timon for reasons, plus Morgan. There will be based on each movie/game. And the music would be remixes of each score. For example a remixes of Circle of Life, in like a Pride rock track, but it’s in the style of persona 5. Or rainbow road in the style of the lion king and so forth.
