  • In Part 4 of Professor Fink's 5-Part Series on the Digestive System, he introduces the 3 regions of the Small Intestine (Duodenum, Jejunum & Ileum), and then presents a detailed description of the Histology of the 4 layers of the wall of the Small Intestine (Serosa, Muscularis, Submucosa & Mucosa). Professor Fink then describes the Digestion of Food in the Duodenum, including the role of Bile, Pancreatic Juice, and Enzymes secreted by the Intestinal Glands. Reference is made to: Villi, Microvilli, Muscularis Mucosae, Lamina Propria, Simple Columnar Epithelium with microvilli & Goblet Cells, Bile Ducts, Hepato-Pancreatic Sphincter (of Oddi), Pancreatic Amylase, Trypsin, Pancreatic Lipase, Pancreatic Nucleases, Maltase, Sucrase, Lactase, and Peptidases.

    I must say professor ur framework and logic is so clear! You link and connect points always! You just build up a every clear framework just like our human skeletal system and fill with the points inside like other systems do! Thank you so much!     You Sir are a great teacher. My professor doesn't teach, all she does is read slides. its absolutely horrific. i haven't learned a thing in her class. you videos are a god send. thank you so much for posting these. I will get my A because of you. Thank you!

    I watched Fight Club yesterday, so when Dr. Fink started going over soap being made from fat, my mind instantly went to "The salt balance has to be just right, so the best fat for making soap comes from humans." Man was that movie focused on soap.

    That with swedish people not being lactose intolerant is not entirely true... almost everyone I know is lactose intolerant including myslef xD But such a good lecture!
