  • Triads are part of chord theory and are the foundation or fundament for all other chords in the tertian functional harmony. There are 4 types: major triads, minor triads, diminished triads and augmented triads. Decides these triads there are also suspended triads. This and more you’ll learn in this crystal clear guitar lesson. Understanding triads is important to understand other chords and chord progressions. Triads are the basis of 7-chords, extended chords and added tone chords. In this video we’ll look at the four types of triads that are used to create chords like major 7 chord, dominant 9 chords, altered chords and so on.

    This is pure gold. I'm still baffled and can't understand why you don't have more followers. The way you explain these concepts is truly crystal clear. I really hope your channels continues growing! Cheers and thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    He is such a GOOD GUITAR TEACHER and the video presentation is fantastic. I can say he knows everything about music theory, and I feel like he stuffing my head with music theory, and sometimes, l feel like my head gonna explode, and I love it. Thank you so much for all the knowledge, and I can truly say I understand music theory much, much better. Thank you again and have an awesome day.

    Fantastic video! I've been playing guitar for more years than I care to remind myself, and whilst I understand triads in a basic principle, your video has done so much to help fill in the gaps I didn't even know I had. Thank you :)

    As always this is outstanding - you are the best guitar music theory teacher I can imagine and could find at TH-cam and across the web. Bought a couple of pdfs - these are awesome. But how awesome would it be, if you could do a complete guitar theory course or book!

    Nice video! But at 7:09 the diminished has an augmented sound and at 7:28 the augmented has the sound of CEGb (major triad with flat 5?). Maybe I'm wrong.

    what is the reason for choosing those triads in that major scale? (7:50)

    • @QJamTracks
      @QJamTracks  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know exactly what you mean, but every major scale has a: maj, min, min, maj, maj, min and a diminished triad (in that order).

    Really appreciate your free content and all your effort but what’s with the random video jump cuts at the start of all the lessons. I get that you are trying to add dynamism. But these cuts in film making are used to highlight some kind of emotional or specific change in action. It’s like you are turning the sound up and down randomly. Very distracting. I doubt I’m the only one that finds it so. Perhaps get rid of them? It’s even less work for better outcome.
