With the price of everything today this is the best way to learn lessons rather than taking them and paying 25 bucks for half an hour. Here you can go over and over it tell it sinks in. Just think of the money one saves taking this route. No taking the guitar out to the car, driving 20 minutes unloading it, get in for the lesson, tune it then begin. Before you know it your half an hour is up. I also love the jump cuts here. Great time saver. What this good looking teacher shows us in just half an hour would take at least a month taking personal lessons. Great way to learn in your home and at your pace. I wonder if Keith Richards knows this? If he does, I wonder if he can still remember it?

For the first time EVER (!) someone (that is you) has been able to explain to me the chord structure without assuming that I must already know the answer to the question. Mark Twain said that the two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you understand why. As far as chords are concerned, I now understand the how and the why. Thank you.

This is the third video of yours I've watched in a row today. Didn't know you existed before, didn't ever get my head around intervals and triads before. I'm just a dilletante on guitar so I always thought I lacked the patience to learn theory. I was wrong. I just lacked a good teacher. The best analogy I have for your style is it's cartography for music... just makes the world more linear and easier to visualise. THANK YOU.

A year or so of listening to analysts pulling apart my favourite rock music riffs: "Hey, he played an F sus seven there...Wow!" Finally someone explains what a "sus" is!
By the way, no way am I a musician (I failed my piano lessons at age 12!) I simply enjoy listening to musicians talking in hieroglyphics, and, Gracie, you're the first I've found to explain the meaning behind some of the hieroglyphics. You also explained the Circle of Fifths so even I understood about half of your explanation!
    Brownie Points to you X

I've played organ/piano since I was a little kid...but chords were not part of my education. Pretty thin on theory, too, to be honest.
