So simple yet powerful, choosing a place that has such backstory. If you think about it, this is a Roman prison, where, safe to assume, it is likely that horrible acts have been committed; yet because two of Jesus's most devout followers and friends were held captive, it gives the same place a mysterious but sacred feel to it. Beautiful.

Never heard this song until on back roads near Blue Ridge GA, In late January. Have heard it a dozen times since. The trip to Blue Ridge had brought us to use a ton of AMEX points for three weeks in Italy in Sept/Oct. our first stop is going to be Mamertine. Looking for videos about the location, there this song popped up again. Off to see if you sang on the Appian Way ✝️
