Agree! Visually and auditory it is easy to see and hear the magnificence of this song. But where it truly touched me and moved me was in my soul and heart! I love this song. It touches my heart deeply. It echoes, in part, Psalm 139’s revelation of God's presence in our life. His love and mercy follow us wherever we are - whether we are running from him or just experiencing trials from the darkness around us. The psalmist writes: Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. (Ps 139: 7-12). God is good!
This song is a great comfort for me I've just lost 2 friends in a short space of time I went to my best friends funeral, my other friend who lived next door but one to him died a week later. But still I will praise the Lord in the Highlands or the heartache all the same.
