I saw dragons and people dressed up in Chinese ceremonial garb. They were celebrating the grand opening of Tim Ho Wan. It was exciting to see and at that time I didn’t know the story of the restaurant and the Michelin Star. But it was noon and I was able to walk in and experience the restaurant on opening day. It was magnificent as you have just reported. I did not know about the baked buns then and neglected to ask. So I just had different amazing dim sum. In July I went back and this time had those amazing baked buns as after the fact I learned more about the restaurant. I was back last month again and tried even more delicious items but didn’t get the wide noodle plates you had, next time! I know it’s pricier than some of the places in Chinatown but damn THW is great. I don’t remember if I recommended this taqueria to you before but I was just there in August and it was as amazing as I had read and seen reported. If you’re in town or on your next go please try; Los Arcos Birrieria. They have amazing Birria tacos and offer goat as well as beef. I was hesitant about trying the goat but it was BOMB! Get the triple combo and my suggestion is 2 goat one beef. Of course, yes to the optional cheese. They also make delicious Horchata. It’s at 2201 S. Maryland Pky. Also asking if you’ve been to a Bristol Farms in SoCal yet and tried The Cookie? Great video Dan! Thanks!

I stayed at the Palms on my last trip to Vegas back in July and forgot to go eat at this place. I'll have to go get a meal there when I'm back in Vegas.

We have a couple of Tim Ho WAN’s in NYC and there pork buns are amazing. I have place that has even better pork buns with coated pineapple crust. I love chueng fun. Dim sum means touch the heart in Chinese. I’m not a fan of chicken feet lol. Love this video bro. 💪🏽
I love dim sum. I used to go to Chinatown in NYC often. I miss it. Next time I’m in Vegas definitely look it up at the Palm. Seems that Palm has great restaurants!
@@DanVsWorld it is not as famous at San Francisco’s Chinatown but it has great authentic Chinese restaurants and it spreads into Little Italy so it is bigger than the official area (on the map).
Went to the Tim Ho Wan on Oahu, overall I felt it was pretty average but those bbq pork buns were very unique and delicious, like nothing I've ever eaten before, I can't recommend them enough
Before covid I would make a special trip over to the palms just to go get some of those buns, but they have changed them and they are not the same and not worth a special trip anymore 😢 they need to do better. If you really want to treat go over to Mabel's BBQ and order the pork belly it is absolutely delicious and you can get two meals out of one dish because it is absolutely huge !! And definitely have it with the baked beans !!
Where I live we've got Chinese restaurants galore but not one of them have an extensive dim sum menu or selection .. those look absolutely phenomenal... I just have to keep on pestering my local Chinese restaurant to make some 😊

They have good dim sums there too.
Actually wrong, the main location in HK is awarded, but each other place of that brand needs to be awarded a star separately as usual. For NO you did not eat at a Michelin star awarded restaurant at all. Sorry, always check the official website
I was also surprised. Close but Tim Ho Wan was acquired by Jollibee in 2021 which also owns Panda Express. Wow! Jollibee is going to own the world. Now they have to open a branch closer to me. Getting closer, down to about 30 miles.
You do know, only the location in Hong Kong has the Michelin star. The star does not carry over to all locations. The one in Hong Kong only got the star over other restaurants with better dim sum because of the cleaner bathrooms. Michelin stars are handed out based on food, service, atmosphere, not just the food.
