At the picture of the beginning on the TH-cam screen I was like oh that’s a PRETTY horse and I didn’t look what it said on the side and then I’m like that’s a model horse WOW
I started customising Marx Thunderbolt and other model horses I had in the 60's. I stopped for a long time and took it up again as a hobby when I discovered Breyer and found a Thunderbolt who was in a sorry state on eBay. I do like action figures so my action figures now all have horses (1:12th and 1:6th and recently discovered the 1:9th Yvonne dolls which are, to my eye, more in scale with Breyer Traditional horses than the actual Breyer riders. I managed to get my hands on a couple of articulated wrestler figures who, while unable to ride, make excellent Farriers and drivers for horse drawn vehicles. It's a really absorbing and good hobby as you have to be able to do most crafts. Paint a bit, sculpt a bit, make wooden stuff and build dioramas as well as some sewing and crochet too. I love it and your channel is one of my favourites.
Yessss, this on so many levels. I was always an artsy/craftsy kid and all the different projects you can do with model horses and the skills you have to learn is probably why the hobby still fascinates me as an adult. And I completely agree, the Yvonne doll looks much more in scale. And that was a clever source for driving dolls. Would never have thought to look into wrestling dolls. I'm glad you've gotten back into the hobby and are enjoying all the different creative aspects!

I enjoyed that a lot. How about a custom of a gray grade horse in winter coat who is rolling in the mud...
