Sometimes I feel sad watching these videos... I have a younger cousin, she always had these beautiful horses (not customized) because her grandmother lived in the US and brought her these expensive gifts... I could never have that, so I just played with her horses. I always felt sad, I still do... I could never have my dream of being a horse girl, even though I had horses. I can't understand why it hurts so much. I hope I can have one of those horses one day, even if it's simple and not customized, even if I still don't have money yet. I want to be able to heal my inner child. Thank you so much for your amazing content ❤❤
your hacksaw use scares me. I was worried there would be a cut and some note about having missed the model and accidentally gotten yourself/needing stitches. Glad that didn't happen!
A horse from my dreams! Was the first thing I said when looking at this model, truly outstanding work. The details… WoW! The name suits him. I would buy him in a heartbeat I have to say, so really great work!!
Truly incredible, you did such a stunning job and he's truly unrecognisable from his original base. Gorgeous work! Your dremel must've had such a workout with all that sanding!
@@DeeJayBeStudios you're welcome. TY for sharing your talent and advice. This community is amazing and your channel is such a blessing and source of inspiration and advice for those of us who enjoy your art and need a little push. Again...thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your techniques. You taught me how to customize when I first started by watching all your videos. There is something that is killing me to know about your fan technique. Will you share when you are ready to show if that fan technique can be used on pastels too or is it just paint over the base coat?
Im just getting into it, just kinda repainted horses atm But do you have any tips on designing the horse beforehand? Like Do you use a base or do you always draw smth new up Also what smaller customizations do you recommend for beginners?
Amazing work... such a drastic change! :) One curiosity question if I may? What sculpting medium were you using after you had his "base" back together? (Rather I should ask which of the 3 did you use or do you mix them?)
So, I havent done a drastic custom.. why use a draught horse instead of a lighter one? What is the benefit of doing it this way? I'm trying to learn about sculpting before I even try something like this, he turned out amazing!
I think she is doing it on that model for the challenge, making it something completely different from before. If you're starting out I would stick with similar body types to what you are trying to make, then eventually you can do something more extreme like this if you want! : )
This was for the ‘Most Extreme’ category of the contest. So I wanted to create something really dramatic and unrecognizable. There is no benefit. I would recommend picking a mold closer to. Haha
Hi there! So I have this project that I want to pursue, but I'm not too sure how to go about it as I've never done something like this before and I was hoping for some pointers. I have a horse on a game called Star Stable Online, I'm sure some of you might know what that is, and I also have this Schleich horse model that looks just like the sso horse except for color. Well, I decided I want to paint the Schleich model to look more like my sso horse. I don't want to do any crazy sculpting or anything like that besides sanding or cutting off the branding words from under the model, I mostly want to paint it and I want it to last. If anyone has done anything like this and could give me some tips, that would be great! Thank you! (And if you need more context as to what I want to do, just ask :) )
I have a couple videos on painting here on the channel. I also have a Patreon where I offer extra tutorial & advice. Look for the tutorials in my playlists and Patreon here: www.patreon.com/DeeJayBeStudios
This is for the 2022 contest? Are there no more contests? Did you enter him in the contest? I think it is beautiful! The only thing I don't like is the music. In order to hear you speak I have the volume up and that music comes in way too loud. Of course, I am not a fan of music in videos but understand that many like it. I think you did a great job and if you did not win the contest it is a travesty!
There is a contest every year. I just didn’t post the video until now. I can’t enter because I am in Canada, but I choose to make an entry for fun every year now instead.
Wonder why dont you just try sculpting a whole horse from scratch, to me personally all plastic cutting and reshaping seems like waste of time and it produces a lot of plastic waste overall. Would love to see u sculpt horse just from polymer clay or even a low poly like wood carving would look nice. Again idk is using plastic sculpt rule thing or not but id like to see ur take in sculpting from scratch.
This model was created for the contest. And the terms of the contest must use a Breyer model. I make one of these projects every year as a challenge, but I have made several original sculptures from scratch as well. I like the transformation of taking something and making it something completely new!
@@DeeJayBeStudios You did fool me though. 😊 For a moment, when I first saw the final version, I thought he was going to be a customized Connemara mare!
It’s so boring seeing you do loads of Appaloosa’s and paint horses- do some more solid colours- there are plenty of beautiful coloured solid coats out there!
Painting Appaloosas & Pintos is anything but boring. These are the most intricate and complex patterns, and that’s what I enjoy challenging myself with most.
This is in no way boring. Thank you for showing what you do. It's also very important to do things you love. Keep up the great work you do. You are extremely talented.

Amazing job looks great! I do have to say seeing you take apart the Clydesdale mold was kinda sad but can’t wait to see what else you make!
Thank you! I have a couple other videos like this explaining my process 🥰
love it
i had a snowcap chestnut appaloosa named Odyssey
Amazing!
who else likes the Othello mold without the feathers?
👇
That could be a fun custom.

After seeing this Breyer neeeeds to make an otthello I think is how you spell it without feathers like they did for the one rearing ish shire
What about doing the Mustang before they are all gone? Like Picasso. They are so beautiful and are going to be gone some day.

I kid you not, thought this was a custom fireheart XD still love it though
Not quite 😉
That Othello is my absolute favorite....this was horrifying to watch 😅
That Othello was put to good use though!

can you make a dapple grey arabian? its my dream horse
