No. Requires different PCB.
@@farmeunit IMO, they still have to work out the optical switches being too sensitive for casual and work typing keyboards i.e. Corsair's K100 OPX.
you can get that with wooting, you can set where it only becomes "sensitive" when a game is running@@anavan7

Until this day the gmmk pro 2 is still an amazing keyboard and their is nothing wrong with it. Its good for gaming for typing the sound is amazing nothing can go wrong you can customize it if you get bored its a dream come true. And its a very good keyboard for another reason ''we aint funna keep on buying new keyboards who look the damn same''

This thing is outstanding in falling apart. After everyone recommended this i bought a gmmk2. "S" key was not working anymore after 3 month "Shift" after half a year. On top of that u never see Capslock at daytime cause its hard to spot the slight glow from underneath the keyboard. No indicator on top of the keyboard. This text was written by a cheap alternative keyboard cause i "destroyed" the keyboard after it let me down.
Sounds like you got a bad unit, mine is not like that, but so sorry for yours. Regarding the caps lock, the slide lights flash when caps lock is enabled. What bugs me the most is that there are no onboard audio keys with the function keys. Do you know if those can be enabled somewhere?

To answer the question asked in the title of the video. No, it's not. The GMMK 2 is TERRIBLE. I bought one had it on my desk for about 45 minutes. It's just BAD. Maybe when it came out in it was a decent board, but in today's market it just does not hold it's own. It's mushy and feels uneven. Some of the keys just have a flat feeling stroke to them.
What would you recommend for around the same price range?
@@WILLBRINE I know they are kinda being recommended all over the place now, but Keychron has quite the selection of boards at various price points For me the V series of board hits the sweet spot. It has all of the goodies that you could want at a price that is hard to beat. The one biggest downside is the RGB. It has nice and bright RGB, but the switches are mounted with the LEDs on the space bar side of the switch, know as south facing switches. This makes shine through keycaps kind of hard to come by. The trade off is that Cherry profile keycaps will fit the board more easily. Most gaming keyboards have the switches mounted in a north facing orientation. That makes for easier use of shine through keycaps, but it also makes Cherry style key caps a trouble to fit some times.

@@WILLBRINE I currently have both a V3 with reds and a V2 with browns. Both sound and feel really nice out of the box. I'm trying to decide which layout I like best. I've been considering the V1 as well. It's the middle ground as far as layout goes between the V2 and V3. I just need to make up my mind as to which switches I want to go with.
