We recently got a Corgi Puppy and beforehand we were trying to find videos on TH-cam to help us prepare. We came across yours and I have say of all the videos we came across, yours was the most informative and fun! Thank you for taking the time to film these videos for new puppy parents like me and even older dog parents like anyone else! I’m constantly telling people who have puppies and older dogs to watch your videos as they are EXTREMELY HELPFUL! 😊
I just got an 8 week old puppy and have already started implementing your tips and tricks, it's amazing how quickly she is learning! It took her less than about 5 minutes using the YES marker that if she didn't climb onto me she got the food. I'm blown away with how helpful your videos have been. We only work for about 15-30 minutes a day but so far it's been working wonders.
I love these in-door exercises! I like to take my puppy outside to expend some energy but this is a great idea for when I’m in the office working and have a quick 5-10 minutes!! A true gem for a freelance graphic designer 🙏🏽
I’m so glad I found your channel. My elderly dog and I are moving from a tiny town to a giant city. He has separation anxiety, and watching your videos gives me so much hope. Thank you! 🥰
Thanks for these activities! Our 12 week old Lab puppy has a broken front leg. I’m happy I’ll still be able to do some of these activities with her. She really needs the mental stimulation now that her activity is restricted.

You don’t know how many times I’ve said to my family, well Rachel says this or to do this. We bring home our puppy in 2 weeks and I’m binging your videos like crazy, watching them multiple times, to best prepare! Even taking notes! Quick question, I know you recommend feeding raw food and that you use the Bones and Co brand, do you know if the raw meat in the pet refrigerator at Target is good raw food to feed your puppy? It’s the brand Freshpet? Would you recommend that if Bones and Co is not readily accessible?
Actually, not sure freshpet is raw, it might just be wet dog food, but would you still recommend something like that? Or just adding eggs, meat, Greek yogurt, goat milk, etc in with their food to supplement?

Hi Rachel !! I have super exiting news!! 😆🤗🐶 so I remember in one of your videos I think it was the feeding Ben, Fin and Haven video, you said that you’re hoping get a ceramic dog so feeder dish instead of the common plastic ones and I found a shop on Etsy called “Soul2soulpottery” and they are doing a fundraiser for this dog rescue so if you buy one of their ceramic dog slow feeder bowl‘s or food and water bowl sets that are customized with your pets name, the color you want and the size they will use some or all of that money to help dogs 🐕!!! 😆❤️🐕🙌🏻

ugh my puppy has jumped off my bed a few times (i watch her very closely but she still managed a few times) and she jumps around a lot will her joints be okay?? :/
Good question!! I lvoe that you’re watching. Wally was (and is) a LEAPED! It was hard to keep him from jumping all over 😆 We just did our best to avoid it ❤️
Letting them chew on boxes is just not a great idea because there are boxes that you don’t want them to chew on and tear up. Similar to not letting them chew on an old shoe.
If not supervised or managed absolutely it’s not ideal to allow your pup to chew on anything you don’t want them to chew on. Wally knows when I “free” him and offer a box he can play with it ❤️
Sooo I have a huge problem. My dog (he’ll be a year old in a couple days) is 130 pounds and still acts like a 12 week old puppy. He jumps on me and my siblings, he bites, and he’s incredibly destructive, even though he has plenty of toys (kong, stuffies, bones, etc.). He’s ok on leash for the most part. I started training within the first few days he care home, and he’s been to a 2 week training/boarding program with an amazing trainer, but within a couple days of coming back, (I worked and work with him ALL the time on the things he learned) he started misbehaving just like he did before. I think part of the issue may actually be the way my dad treated him as a puppy. I told him repeatedly not to let him get away with things he wouldn’t want him to do at 200 pounds, and I never did, but guess who let Finn jump and bite all over him :/ It makes me feel like a terrible owner when I have to scold and kennel him because redirecting never works, and he magically loses all memory of concentration cues when he gets hyper. It’s seriously an issue, idk what to do, and it’s hard to live with. I wish I’d had this vid before I got him.
I'm having the same issues!! Mine is about 4 1/2 months. Sometimes he does great but he gets so excited and thinks jumping and biting is play. He loves people but I'm scared he will hurt someone.. He also is aggressive towards me and bites me when I went to bring him in and he didn't want to. He is getting less exercise and socialization and getting worse every day. He is going to puppy daycare/ training starting tomorrow. Hopefully they can train both of us! I don't think I have been a strong leader so he doesn't respect me. He is a great Pyrenees and getting big fast. I hope we can fix this but I'm getting less confident as he gets worse. Good luck to you and thanks for sharing! It helps to know I'm not the only one be having a tough time! 💛✨
@@lilly3068 Oh no!! That really stinks😖 Mine’s not truly aggressive, but he gets WAY too rowdy. I noticed that mine behaves a lot better after being with other dogs for long periods of time, so maybe he just needs others of his own species to teach him how to behave. I know there’s a massive full grown St. Bernard that goes to his daycare, and I can’t imagine he’d take any nonsense from Finn😂 Unfortunately though, I’m not able to take him to daycare anymore until he’s neutered, and I don’t want to neuter him too soon in fear of it affecting his closing growth plates :/And it is really nice to find someone else with the same problems. I hope training goes well!!♥️
I just wanna say your not a bad owner but change needs to happen because if that puppy becomes a dog and bites someone your puppy will be put down. an owners worst fear. So you clearly have tried a lot and they seem to work for a short time. But it seems like your dog is underestimated and under exercised (I’m not sure because you didn’t provide information on that in the comment) since walks don’t seem like an option since he’s so big and not trained. Then maybe try some games like fetch cause he can’t pull u. Definitely incorporate more exercise and more mental stimulation dogs need a minimum of 15 min but an 1 hour and 30 min is best but for a dog like that around 2-3 hours you can break it down to many times a day but don’t give up keep going you can do it your really trying and you can do it
@@Persassyproduction_fanpage YES!! you TOTALLY got my worst fear!! Him biting someone especially a child! The exercise issue was making it worse. I couldn't take mine out for walks til his shots were done and unless it was after dark because the neighborhood kids would mob him (which he loves!) but after he fetched 3 times for a neighborhood girl who is about 7. He did what he was starting to do with me. Fetch a few times then either drop the ball halfway back and when I'd go to lean down for the ball he would jump and bite at me from behind or just run for it and circle back running straight toward the person and jump and bite at them. He just nipped at the little girls rear end but that was it for being around kids and the front yard. I was taking him to my mom's just to get a little socialization and he would always get all excited and start jumping and biting. He body slammed my sister from behind once at 4 months and 50 pounds he could have done serious damage. He seemed to think jumping and biting was part of the game. I ordered and was starting to watch the dogfather videos which has a pinch collar when my prayers were answered! A local place got me in for puppy training. They use calming energy methods along with a halti? Which puts pressure behind his ears and across the top of his nose. He's only been 2 days and the difference is night and day!!!! I was trained with him one of the days and tho it is hard for me to put it on & work with him without them there- we are trying!! Plus we are just practicing using a regular leash. I know we still have ALOT to learn and work on and its going to be quite awhile before I trust him around kids and strangers, but I'm FINALLY feeling hope!!! It sounds like my baby is more on the extreme end of over excited puppies, and I KNOW I unknowingly caused it by squealing excitedly and clapping my hands on my legs when he would fetch, playing tug down on the floor with him and giving him too much freedom too soon etc etc. I DO think we are going to overcome this with the help of the awesome trainers we are working with!! Don't give up! Keep calling every place you can for help. Much LOVE and Good luck to us ALL!!🐾 💛✨
Hello I’ve been watching your videos for awhile and I really enjoy them! I watch your videos on dog food diets etc. I’ve been thinking about changing my puppy’s diet completely raw (currently he’s on taste of the wild kibble with raw meat and other toppers) but the thing is, he eats super fast (I did get him a slow feeder bowl) he gets bloated or throws up often, he eats the proper amount of food for his age but he never wants to stop eating, I’m not sure if I his previous owner didn’t feed him well and now he can’t stop eating but I’m not sure what to do with him :( my vet said he’s still young and not to overthink and suggested to move his diet to Hill's Science Diet, I’m really lost right now NOTE: he’s not overweight, he’s a healthy weight but he cries over food all time, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! He’s my first rescue, my other two don’t have this problem, they’re from responsible breeders so any advice for rescues don’t be afraid to let me know
So first of all I just wanna say my advice may not help I’m just trying so you got a slow feeder which Is good but I think u should get other stuff as well like a kong lick mat etc and try that so the slow feeder doesn’t get to easy and also maybe try freezing the food and when they become and adult try feeding them at random times so they don’t expect the food but as a puppy try feeding many times throughout the day that way there food can last longer. Also maybe change to raw for a bit half way of course and see if it helps the situation. But if this keeps happening and your vet says your overreacting then you need to get another vet because you are the best advocate for your dog so good luck 🍀👍🏻 ❤️
Correct, dogs do not have good hind end awareness. We work with that walking and stepping through a ladder with guide dogs in training while it is on the ground supervised. @bluecapehero IG
Newsflash, everybody: you cannot stop normal puppy behavior just by using enrichment games, but what you CAN do is mentally and physically tire them to have them be more receptive to information. *im saying enrichment is GOOD, but you also have to TEACH them what they’re supposed to and not supposed to do. Use both in conjunction!!!

Wally’s so grown omg
Right?! 😭😭😭
Oh i need a hoola hoop 😅
Go go go!

Yeah thats Rachel’s goal to stop it by tiering them so that’s what she meant about it not that it would go away but she can redirect
Wait why shouldn’t puppies to jump?
It can hurt there joints and cause joint problems since there still growing
Wally is a teenager now 😧
Shaggy awkward teen 😜😆
