16:55 First, it is not Scheduled Caste but Scheduled Tribe.
Second, upper castes did not prevent the STs from going to forests, rather they were prevented by the governments since British rule.
Third, Tribals always considered forests to be sacred and important, and they had a sustainable relationship with the forests since time immemorial.
