I remember bus line 32 from Reijka to Opatija well. And the car transfer Reijka to Porec. Very nice to have experienced this. It went very well there. This was years ago in 2002.
Pozdrav iz Kanade. I live part time in Istria and love Rijeka! Have a car in Istria so rarely ride buses. In this city in Canada the bus system is very limited, not nearly as efficient as those in Europe. Not as crowded, either! 😊 Thank you so much for producing your practical and interesting videos...I like them very much. Very helpful and intriguing. Easy to sense your passion for Rijeka. My heart is in Istria...cannot wait to be where I belong! 💗 Puno hvala! Well done.
Hi Brenda! Thanks for your nice comment, I am happy that you like them! When will you be coming to Istria? Istria is beautiful, but there you definetely need a car! Canada has bigger distances, I suppose, so people also depend a lot on cars?
@@CroatianExperiencewithSanda Really enjoy your instructional and friendly style. Can't wait for your next video! To put things into perspective, Croatia is about 56,500 square km. Canada is almost 10,000,000 and encompasses six time zones. The particular province I live in is sparsely populated with no rural public transportation so it is necessary to rely on cars. Will be in Istria in a month. August isn't my favourite month there (hot and busy!) but planned it that way for various reasons. Very much looking forward to spending autumn there, too. 😊 Spring and autumn are my favourite seasons there, though any time is great, even winter as we have temperatures down to -40C and snow for six months here. Too severe!
@@maslina4567 Thanks, that's wonderful! I enjoyed reading your comment and thank you for a glimpse into Canada! Temperatures of -40 sound apsolutely terrifying! The maximum I experienced was -15 in Ljubljana, Slovenia and it was freezing cold. But I'm sure that it is very true what they say: "There's no bad wheather, only bad clothing for that whether." So I suppose you can manage if you are properly equipped and dressed. My favourite months in Croatia are April, June and September. As you say, in August it often gets too crowded. But what I try to do then is to go to the sea as early as possible and return home by 10:30 before the tourists come to the beach. I hope you'll have a wonderful time in Istria and I'm looking forward to reading your comments on my upcoming videos. Let me know if you have some video ideas for my future videos. Lijep pozdrav!
@@CroatianExperiencewithSanda We must plug cars in for them to start in winter if not in a garage. Tires become square until warmed up! And the cold can literally hurt one's lungs. We also have many very windy days and therefore a -40 day can feel like -60. Really awful. But we do cope by dressing in layers. And layers...and layers... Ljubljana is a pretty city! Haven't been there in winter but have been at home in Istria when it has snowed...looks particularly strange on palm trees! Those are my favourite months in Croatia as well. Superb. We, too, enjoy swimming in August (actually as soon as it is 18C). Cannot get enough of Croatia. I walk so much that I can tell if there is a missing stone in a wall or a new tree. You could call me obsessed. 😃 Nice to "meet" you! Will think of video ideas...thanks!
