So glad so many of you love these thrifted gift ideas! People keep asking what bees wax wraps are for. They are a food storage solution other then plastic wrap. They help cut back on aplastic wrap use and they are reusable!!! :)
Those trees are really pretty! I wonder if the tiny fairy lights could be put on them. Light reflecting off the glass would be gorgeous. I am going to keep my eye out when I go to thrift stores for the components for the tree. I like to make soy candles and I like how you used unconventional containers for your beeswax candles.❤❤
Those trees are Amazing and I saw some other lady making them and the only other thing is like I don't think the glass should be bottom but the face should be glass the bottom should be glass like she did like some like brass Candlestick or something and that looks really really cool against the glass
You gave me fantastic ideas of what to use my parents crystal/ China for- Christmas trees for both my sisters! That will be meaningful and unique for them! Thank you!❤
Oh that's such great idea! I wish I had more of my grandmas glassware to make out of hers or the right pieces. That will be so nice, your sisters are going to love them!!!
The crystal Christmas trees are amazing! They sparkle but they're not over the top, and you did an amazing job of piecing together just the right bowls and bells and what a great idea for the top of a salt shaker as the tree top! You got the eye, Girl! In the candles with the matches & striker sets are great spin on gifting candles. And I'm so grateful that you showed me how to make beeswax wraps! Plastic is so horrible and the beeswax wraps take us back to what are great grandmas used to do: such a wonderful idea! Those things are so expensive add Hole Foods and other big profits-not healthy foods stores. Merry Christmas to you and your family! And that's so cool that your husband is a Beekeeping expert!
Oh thank you so much I'm so glad you like all the thrifted gifts I put together! I love the candle set I came up with that idea when I saw the little cup and knew I wanted to turn it into something! I love my beeswax wrap I ended up making some for myself I'm currently using one a bowl in my refrigerator. :) The bees wrap were way cheaper to make I'll be making mine from now on. Merry Christmas thanks so much for watching!!! :)
I have madw garden art with thrisfted glass but never thought to make a Christmas tree! So beautiful! I absolutely lovethe bee and honey gift baskets! We used to keep bees and I too champion the bees!
Fantastic job..very frugal beautiful gifts… l’m in the process of making my own glass Christmas trees, gifted to me from my mother in law, as she has moved into a nursing home, so no price there, other than the glue Thank you for sharing your talent with us 👍❤️
This video was in my YT feed this morning (been watching lots of thrifted/upcycled gift ideas the last week). I'm in LOVE with all the gifts you made and can't wait to try them myself. I have to share though - when you got to making the beeswax wraps, I saw the honey sitting in the basket and thought, "That looks just like the honey in my pantry...I guess someone else has a similar label"...but to my surprise...nope! It's the same honey! 😛We live in the same area as your honey bee farms in Virginia. What a small world!
I make candles all year long! The ideas for containers for gifts are a brilliant idea!! And the Christmas trees are just adorable thank you for sharing! Merry Christmas 🎄
I saw the video with the trees too and said the same. Thank you for reminding me and the idea for the salt shaker top. I was finding it hard to find a bell.
Those trees are stunning!! I've noticed the candle and match trend....love it. I've never seen those wraps before.... intriguing. Thanks for sharing these projects.
Thanks so much! I’m always looking for unique gift ideas and those wraps are definitely a fun and easy project. The store bought beeswax wrap are pretty expensive. 🥰 thanks so much for watching!
I love the christmad tree idea. My mom passed away 2 years ago and i have so much glass that she collected and i think I'm going to attempt to make a tree out of some it. Possibly 2 and pass them down to my daughters when they move out. ❤ just a wonderful idea. 😊

I love the glass Christmas trees. They turned out beautiful. Especially liked the one with the bird on top. The bee themed baskets are wonderful. I have been wanting to do the beeswax wraps but thought they would be so messy to do but watching how you did them, I am going to give them a try. I saw a video on how to refresh them because they do get crease lines in them. So easy to refresh, lol, just iron them. If really bad, then add 3xyra beeswax in those areas and iron.
I love that one too! They bees wax wraps were so easy to make a little messy at first but once you get the hang of it it's not messy at all. That good to know to refresh them from time to time! :) Thanks so much for watching!

Yeah… those pieces have the right graduated sizes…. Really nice trees… I’ve seen others. These look great.., not just a bunch of glass bowls glued together.
These are wonderful ideas! I absolutely love the trees! I’ll definitely be checking out the honey from your husband’s farm. I won’t buy anymore bee wax wraps now that I can see how easy it is to make them. I didn’t realize you were in Va. I thought you were out west. I’m in eastern NC.
I'm so glad you liked them! I absolutely love the trees as well as you can see. You should the honey is so good I'm a big fan of the North Dakota honey. Every person I know that tries it say its the best honey they've ever had. Yeah I thought the same thing they are so easy to make. We are so close to each other I'm not far from NC
I was wondering that too. I have never heard of them either. And I LOVE the glass Christmas trees!! They are gorgeous!! And I love the style of your home!! The black fireplace and the wooden table is absolutely stunning!!
Thank you so much! My fireplace in my kitchen is one of my favorite features of my house!!! :) Thanks so much for watching so glad you love the Christmas Trees!
Oh my word Mailey!!! This was such a great video! Realistic, adorable, useful, and beautiful gifts! I just bought a bunch of beeswax bars from our local bee keepers and wanted to make candles and beeswax wraps but I actually didn’t know you could use cotton fabric! Question though, do I need to shave or cut the beeswax bar down before I try melting it?
Thank you so much! They are a reusable food wrap. So instead of plastic wrap you use beeswax wraps. The beeswax almost turns the fabric into a plastic like material but you can reuse them! They help cut down on plastic use! :)
Love these ideas. Have pinned for next year. Another way to make the wraps is to grate unmelted wax and sprinkle the shavings over the fabric, then iron over the top with the parchment paper. Did you include the cost of wax, wicks etc in your prices?
Thanks so much for subscribing!!! Unfortunately it's not. I definitely want to use the wax from my husband far at some point. I would just have to do the cleaning and processing of the wax. I think you could add light it might make it more tricky with how the bowls lay and making them level but if you get a small enough strand and slowly work it in to every layer I don't see why that wouldn't work! :)
So glad so many of you love these thrifted gift ideas! People keep asking what bees wax wraps are for. They are a food storage solution other then plastic wrap. They help cut back on aplastic wrap use and they are reusable!!! :)
How do they stick to the bowl to keep the item fresh?

Yeah… those pieces have the right graduated sizes…. Really nice trees… I’ve seen others. These look great.., not just a bunch of glass bowls glued together.
Thank you so much! It took me a little bit to find just the right pieces but it was worth the wait. :)
The Christmas trees are so very pretty. Might have to make one next year. What are beeswax wraps? How do you use them? Thank you and take care.
Thank you so much! Definitely should try out the tree. The bees wax wraps are like plastic wrap but reusable. Helps cut down on food storage waste. :)
Oh dear, I should've looked further down the comments. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that was clueless. 😅😂😊❤
Haha all good! Thanks so much for watching! :)
These were all great, but what in the world is bees wax wraps used for. I've never heard of it. 😊❤
So glad you figured it out! I really love beeswax wraps and they cut down on plastic use! :)
Super😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much 😀
Great ideas! Than…
Thank you so much!
Oh I’m so glad you like it! I would shave the beeswax down I’ll help with the melting process. :)
How do u know pouring hot wax into a glass container won’t break or shatter the container ?
If you choose thick glass containers they won't break. Just inspect the glad for any cracks or damages! 🥰
How do you use beeswax wraps? Very beautiful gifts.
Oh that’s such a great way to do that! Thank you for sharing and yes I did include pricing for thrifted items and supplies! 🥰
I have some glass bowls big ones I want to make bird baths with them
New subscriber. Is the wax you make your candles from wax from the bees. Also, how could you add lights to the glass lamps? Beautiful!!!
What are the bees wax wraps used for?
Were you get your wicks from
What do you do with the bees wraps
They are a food storage wrap to replace plastic! :)
Heard you should double the amount of wax that fills your container
Oh that's so good to know! I will definitely try that next time!
What are the wraps used for? Thanks👩🏻🦳☦️🎄
They are a reusable food storage solution. Basically they replace plastic wrap! :)
Thanks. Great invention! I’m old, but never heard of that! So cool! 🐝 are da bomb‼️🥰👩🏻🦳🐾🎄🏡
Which bees wax do you buy or do you get it from were your husband works fresh bees wax
No unfortunately they don't process the wax in a way to make it usable. So I just buy it from amazon!
How are the wraps used.???
What do you use beeswax wraps for?
Food storage like plastic wrap but reusable!
How would it work to use a foam brush and spread with an old credit card?
I have seen people use foam rollers and that definitely work old CC not sure!? 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
What do you do with the wraps?
They are good storage wraps instead of using plastic wrap! :)
Do you you coat both sides of fabric with bees wax?..
If you just really soak the one side you don't have to coat both. It will soak through the fabric. 🥰
