Long time soccer fan here. I'm not going to get upset at you not knowing the sport. Honestly it's an amazing sign that guys like you are giving the sport and the Canadian national team some airtime and trying to ramp up your knowledge, not just knocking the sport. It used to be an impossible ask for a hockey guy or a football guy (I like those sports too for what it's worth) to talk about soccer for 30 seconds without complaining about low scoring and faking injuries.
In Premier League Marsch was known to stick with his game plan (attacking, entertaining soccer) regardless of who Leeds faced and it did not go well. Now he jumps into international play where main competitions are tournament based. I can see this being absolute disaster in terms of results. But maybe having this type of coach who doesn't like to sit back and goes for the win will get the fans behind him.
I dont think Sid watched entire leaf conference. Pelly answered a question regarding power and team and referred to Shanahan and TRE as "experts" and that they handle the player personnel. Hiring Pelly was just to put a bandade on things and to shut fans ups. At the end of the day its ownership that has the say if they want to move players in and out. They need approval from them . Its not Shanahan.
