And tried it ,enjoyed it very much (Non powerful bite , very mild to the body and palate now another fave 80" s Boomer Narional type old type Macrobrew beer to drink and savor ! My next beer I have to purchase and try in this type category is Hamm's which is available at a cheap price in nearby New York State .
FYI. Just picked up a 32 oz can today in New Mexico. Has the older label "MILWAUKEE'S BEST PREMIUM". I have not had this beer in like 30 years. Not great and not bad. I think its a great beer to drink ice cold on a hot summer day after mowing the lawn. It's one of those kinds of beers to me. Love your reviews.
MGD was advertised heavily in 1985-1992 time-frame. For that matter, so was Bud, Coors and many regional brews. Remember Stroh's commercials with Alex? The Michelob campaign with Clapton and Genesis was quite memorable.

I had the new Beast Ice recently, I thought it was just as good if not better than the old. Went to another store looking to buy another 12 pack of it, all they had was the old 5.9% variant. I'd like to find this one but the Premium(lager now) has always been harder to find around here than the Light and Ice versions for whatever reason.
Roll Tide!...My grandpa been drinking the Red Beast for over 60 years he claims .he is 88 this year and still tries to only drink a 6 pack a day,says more like 8.
This brew is surprisingly elusive in my area of California but I did find one local drugstore that carried it in 30 packs. I paid $17.79 out the door and had a few last night. Very light and refreshing beer with a strong value to price ratio I'd say. Definitely a quality example of a macro AAL along with staples such as High Life, Busch, Budweiser, etc. Thanks for the review Ronald, enjoy your videos thoroughly.
off topic but i always notice Louisiana Hot Sauce in the background and see you adding it to food. I use it all the time as well. Great sauce. Factoid: my next door neighbor growing up in Shreveport owned the vinegar plant that supplied the vinegar for Louisiana Hot Sauce. He was an old man and as kids we just knew him as 'Paw-Paw.' He was my friend's Grandfather. He was the one who came up with the slogan "One drop does it." I think he was in a partnership with that brand or it was a company he part owned with some buddies. Some real Louisiana history there! Next time you hear someone say Shreveport is really in Texas or Arkansas remind them of this! Haha! Anyway glad to see you enjoy it as well. I know I do! Also, Milwaukee's Best offers consumers a quality line of products at a value price point and they never disappoint. The recipes are very familiar to the American consumer as the styles are so popular. They are part of the echelon of American standards and a fun change up now and then!
Trying out the new version for the Super Bowl. And added a can to my stock for a low country boil. Very good. Has that Miller flavor and seems similar to the previous Beast. But, it may be a bit sweeter. Very good and of course, only $5.99 for a 12 pack.
My brother in law bought this for me yesterday, because he had never seen it before and he grew up watching his dad drink Milwaukee Best beers and it's what he started on. This beer confused him because he had never seen it before and now he never sees the Premium so he thought maybe they just changed the name. He got two pint cans for $3. We both tried it and both said it was a solid, cheap beer. I told him I would look online for some info, but couldn't find any due to there being no website. Milwaukee's Best Lager & Milwaukee's Best Light are always stocked in my fridge. Outstanding value & good taste. $5.47 a twelve @ Wal-Mart, here in Dee-troit. That's 45 cents a can.
and now they changed the name back to premium. not a bad cheap beer for the summer. its still better than the old formula, but id go with hamms or pbr......but very similar. not bad on the cheap
They sell this at my local RT mart and I have never bought it. Simply because an American friend told me it was horrid and nicknamed the beast...as it is so revolting. Your review has changed my mind. I might pick up a six pack next time.

This is my go-to first beer of the day. If I'm really thirsty, it's my second as well. If there's going to be a third of the evening, I'll move to an IPA.
Milwaukee's best was my first beer drinking as well back in H.S. Unfortunately I too became an alcoholic as time went by. Yes, it was cheap and pretty good back in the day. I mean, it got the job done by getting me drunk. LOL. Nice review though.

Just found it at rite-aid I much prefer the Lager to the so called Premium, it was nearly 17 for 30 pack after tax and crv which isn't a bad price for a 30 of budget beer, something like 56 cents a can or so.

The gear on the can reminds me of a Bachman-Turner Overdrive album cover from the '70s. Drinking Milwaukee's Best Lager is "Takin' Care of Business." I look forward to trying the revamped version (once I drink down my current AAL stash). A "balanced" or "round" brewed beer is akin to Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" production style - the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Individual elements are subservient to the final product.

I can get the 12 packs for under $6 so a super cheap beer if your on a budget. I have not seen these in the 6 pack configuration. The 30 packs are reasonable. See them in 24oz cans for a buck.
At first I really liked it but as it warmed I started to notice a little funk coming through. Nothing too serious though I would definitely drink it again.
I just watched your Yuengling video, i somehow missed it when it was posted. I've been wanting to try Yuenling for while. My brother has been in Florida several times for business lately and has been drinking it and he loves it. I also really need to get out to the Anheuser brewery here and try the Budweiser and Busch on draft. I might just uber over there next weekend and uber back. They now offer this for sale at Safeco Field for $6 for a 16oz. can. Not a bad value considering a 24oz. drought of Coors Light is $12. I would rather drink this anyway. The Rite Aid near our house just started selling 30 packs of Milwaukee's Best Light for $16.99. Excellent light beer in my opinion. Keep up the great reviews Jay and hope the Tigers beat Alabama tonight. Watching the game from Lake Chelan to tonight. I also have to stand corrected they sold Milwaukees Best, not the version you just reviewed.

Wow, I thought I would never see this beer again, kind of like Keystone Premium. I remember when MGD hit the market and blew Miller High Life out of the water in the mid to late 80's.
$10 for a 15 pack at the local Wal-Mart. Hard to complain but it is what is. Just average beer. I prefer Old Milwaukee but Oklahoma doesn't carry it anymore.

I picked up some Milwaukee’s best tonight, and noticed it says premium.. I thought it changed to lager. Do you know if they went back to the previous premium recipe like they did with their Milwaukee best ice?been a very long time since I’ve had this, I’m actually enjoying it quite a bit for what it is.
So I bought a pack about a year ago and it said on the can: Milwaukee’s Best Lager like it does here. Just bought a pack last weekend and it’s the same exact design but says premium on the can again. Wonder why they went back

No, they come in a variety of formats, but it just depends on where you live.

I picked up some Milwaukee’s best tonight, and noticed it says premium.. I thought it changed to lager. Do you know if they went back to the previous premium recipe like they did with their Milwaukee best ice?been a very long time since I’ve had this, I’m actually enjoying it quite a bit for what it is.
Back in 2016, then upped it from 4.3% to 4.8% called it "Lager", but they quickly reverted back to "Premium", for the name.
So I bought a pack about a year ago and it said on the can: Milwaukee’s Best Lager like it does here. Just bought a pack last weekend and it’s the same exact design but says premium on the can again. Wonder why they went back
I don't know, really, but I think the "lager" name confused the average Milwaukee's Best consumer.

Oh, I guess the Camo or Dog Bite or Earthquake line. They're pretty horrific. Axe Head, too.

Definetly the worst beer I have ever had, my advice if you are broke as hell, go with Nade light

i buroght a 32oz milwaukees best lager for 2.18 a 32oz can ill rate it a c- . busch beer 4.3% it is much better then this beer

Hi Jay, I used to pick up MilBest when traveling through the States , but recently have been buying High Life, which I prefer given a very slight price premium and the fact I can get it in bottles. Great review as always.
