It's called ghost night market is simply because the market shifted to different location every night and it only start its business hours around midnight. The latest location of the market will only share through a WeChat group just a few hours before the business hours. It only operates 3 nights in a week

China has a lot of mom & pop food stalls.... they are very affordable. Do visit outside the tourist areas of the Tier 1 cities. Eat where the everyday locals eat at. This is what I have learned from watching travel videos of China. 💡

Should visit Beijing in winter it’s very cold.get beef noodle soup only $6 Yuen.

Hello, mate! Yes, roundtrip ticket is one of the requirements for visa application. I am an OFW here in Vietnam so I did my application here, not sure the process in the Philippines

Do you mean 100 RMB? It's a scam! The taxi driver should use the meter and it will be no more than 30 RMB for 8 min drive. It's strictly prohibited since 2008 but he still did this. Did you record the number plate or driver info of that taxi? I can help you to report him. Sorry for leaving the bad impression on you.
Hi! Thank you for your concern. Yeah, he didn’t use the taxi meter, he just asked me to pay the specific amount 100 RMB. Apparently, I wasn’t able to get the taxi’s plate number

@@FilVietBuddies That's unfortunate. Sad to hear this in 2024 I throught that case will be rare now.... 🥲Next time you could ask taxi driver to use meter if they did not use in the first place. And the driver info should be displayed in the front, so don't hesitate to record that if they refuse to do so

Did you use any Payment app? they say cash is not king in China. If so, how did you load your ewallet?
Also, how much is the internet per day in China?
I just used cash. They still accept cash. You can also use the app alipay u need to link ur bank account to that app. I didn’t buy simcard so i don’t have an internet the whole I was traveling in china. I used maps.me an offline map. But when I arrived at the airport they have 200 Yuan sim card with 30gb data good for 2 weeks
Why don't you book a hostel near the metro station?? Do some searching and study before you book the accommodation.
¥100 for a journey of just five or six minutes is indeed too much, and you can report that driver, which is why we choose online taxi because the price is transparent and the quality of service is good.

its not wise to find street in a cold winter city like Beijing when outside temputure is -10....

damn, I am sorry man, the taxi driver for sure charged for too much. It should be 30 or 40 yuan. I am from beijing, and usually it won't happen like this in Bejing with taxi dirvers.

How did you make it to immigration? Did they ask you return tickets or just passport visa? Is return ticket mandatory?? Did you have to fill out health declaration form ?? I’m going there soon.
Return ticket is one of the requirements when applying Chinese tourist visa. No health declaration needed, just a form for your information when you arrive at the immigration
@@FilVietBuddies I got my visa already . I know that return ticket is required for visa. When you arrived in China and went through immigration. Do they asked for your returned ticket or just passport and visa ? Did they give you the form before arrival? Please let me know.
Just my passport then checked my visa and a few questions. They didn’t ask my return ticket at the immigration and the form was given there
Do we need to learn to speak Mandarin?
You don’t have to but if you can it’s an advantage
you chosen to stay in a cheap hostel and you expect their cheap receptionist to give you good service? next time pay more for a better hotel with metro / subway nearby. You won't spend so much $$$ travelling to remotely located hostel away from the main city area.
What a horrible & shameless person the driver was! Next time if get scammed pls take a photo of the info card next to the driver and report through the number on it.

As someone from tropical country, Beijing cold is TOO COLD. When you have the chance, visit Shenzhen. Cold weather in Shenzhen is just right.

You should have at least watched many videos or read blog about about China, you got scammed and you could actually eat cheaper if you know the place, obviously not in a mall.
