Those who continue to support this org knowing how they handle csa cases are just as guilty as the perverts themselves. They just don’t have a love for justice there’s just no compassion or love to do the right thing. Great work thank you for sharing ❤

      Exactly.
I don't want to be found guilt by association.... CSA is a disaster in this organization.
I was a baptized JW for decades.
I left after I saw all the manipulation that Geoffrey Jackson did at Australia Royal Commission he was avoiding to give a direct response to the lawyer....but Geoffrey Jackson forgot that Almighty GOD YHVH appointed his son Crist Jesus to bring judgment to everyone individually including the GB.
Everything done against the Father,s holy name is expose right now...
Revelation 18:4 has a warning to all sincere Cristians
Get out of her my people if you don't want to be part of her sins.
CRIST Will use the government power to bring judgment.
It did happen before when God sent 30.000 well training roman soldiers to discipline his Nation of Israel in 70 th year.
Now we are about to see it be repeated again.

😢That was it for me too...when he retorted with "we cant be respons ible for all the childtennin Australia. For someone who had been molested by my stepdad who had been an elder for 17 or 18yrs his heartless comment was an absolute kick in the guts. But as each subsequent elder was questiobed, it became clearer and clearer that the attitude is systemic.

Pedophiles are not suppose to go
1- go out on field service
2- to give talks in the congregation
      3- to be around children
4- to be around women with children.
5- they can only stay with wife if married.
A long time friend told me about this information she found on Megan's law set up by the government to protect children from pedophiles...
I don't know exactly all the details...
But yes pedophiles can't go out on service .
But the congregation keeps them mixed with children inside the congregation...elders they don't care much.

Great video guys and fantastic research! I get what you're saying about the Governing Body not trying to hide abusers. However, the policies are made specifically to hide pedophiles - they have loopholes to allow elders who are abusers to stay as elders or to resume serving. The S-66 document is shocking in terms of the provisions given to offenders.

So silly that the elder’s wife couldn’t be in the room with Falon while the elder asked her the baptism questions. Like she didn’t know what the questions were?
It’s as if the organization just makes arrangements for elders to be alone with publishers out of habit. It’s like it’s a knee-jerk reaction. Elder talking to publisher? Well that needs privacy.

Miss Falon you made an excellent point @ 35:55 - 37:05.
Yes the attorney made an excellent point which was selfishly glossed over with scales on the eyes of the elder. It was ugly.
Lack of protection for the children in the community where kingdom halls exist.
A policy change is absolutely necessary!
I get wanting to not put dirt on Jehovah's name but do the right thing and you won't put dirt on his beautiful name.
They are throwing mud on Gods name by not doing the right thing. Sad really.
They bring reproach on God and the organization.
Sex abuse occurs everywhere even the military. But when it happens, what do you do how do you handle it. How you handle it is what determines if you are good or from God, not that csa happens.
We live in a sick world it will happen, how does the group, organization, government etc handle it?

I was a baptized JW for decades.
I did some searching about the 2 witnesses rule.
I discover that WT removed the word mouth from Deutronomio 19:15.
All the Bibles that I checked had the word mouth 👄
      GOD Said:
By the mouth 👄 of 2 or 3 witnesses the matter wii be established...
Almighty GOD YHVH is a God of justice HE never, ever required 2 eye 👁️ witness to observe the Gross immorality done against our young brothers and sisters.
WT took the audacity to change God,s word in their New world translation...n
      WHY??
They can go to court and say there is no eye 👁️ witness to the case ..
But God sees everything... that's why WT plus GB is expose showing all the abusers there is someone much higher than them.

Wow, that was a very intense podcast. I was a Boy Scout and did not at any time have any issues, or see any or have any friends talk about any. I know the organization had cases, every large organization with a mandate to work with children is going to have issues. With that said, I have a level of skepticism about the extent of the problem. In some way organizations that report more and are open about things when they happen, may look more dangerous. but, thinking about it, organizations, like JW, that keep a lid on it, probably have a far bigger problem.

When I was an MS I was assigned by the elders to study with a young man being watched over by a single foster mother. The teenage boy was a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER! The "mother" would leave me alone with him and run errands. I was basically a free sitter. I demanded that she participate in the study because I was not taking responsibility for raising him.
The woman ended the study pretty early on because the kid wouldn't stop looking at porn and playing with himself.
But I was told by one of the elders to never let him go in the bathroom by himself. That's their way of dealing with a chomo.
Later, I found out that that elder body covered for another adult como who, after drifting away from JWs, went on to molest another non-jw boy. Only then did he go to jail.

This is what finally pushed me to my breaking point.
We had 3 pedophiles in our hall. 2 were in our book study and being my husband was an elder, I was terrified we would have to take one in our car out in service. I had been molested myself as a child not by a JW through.
So I went to the CO above my husband and the other elders, which caused a huge backlash to myself.
Anyway the CO was so ticked off at me and told me I needed to get a handle on my emotions, he could care that I had been molested myself I would have to take this brother to people's doors in my car period!
I then went on to commit even more grievous sins by writing to the society, who was I a stupid sister lowly with no real brain to do that. Being I'd been at Bethel I didn't realize that I couldn't write to Bethel. There was just so much that I missed or miss read. I honestly don't know why I didn't see things before 😢
Anywho that was my wake up that this is just a very horrible organization.

Once in field service (in sweltering Oklahoma summer heat!), a brother insisted me & another sister walk all the way to the end of a very long street & work our way back. It was 100⁰ & we were exhausted so I politely refused. He said "Well it has to get done" & I responded with "Then maybe you should do it". His wife lost her mind on me, "Falon! How dare you speak to a brother like that!" I was probably 12 or 13? They told my mom all about it, how disrespectful & rebellious my attitude had been TOWARD A BROTHER specifically, etc. Thankfully, momma also wasn't one to be played with, so I never got in trouble. 😈

Thankfully my husband woke up soon after. My son WAS molested at a door and the elders did not even care. They called the legal department and then told me, we don’t have to do anymore. I’m like, my son was praying to get that last door and believing the angels were directing him there. He’s crying and does not know what to think! Nothing needs to be done? How obtuse can one be in that situation! I said, I’m going to the police and off we went. The CO got involved but at the end of him explaining what happened, the CO made the elders leave and hugged him with this long uncomfortable hug. No one questioned that either? They had to ask if he enjoyed getting molested… I’m sorry… what?! Such a disgrace imo. Nuts! Thank God my son is out and doing well. I was in forty years btw… now I ask…Is Satan running this religion?

There is a duty of care to select staff and volunteers who have valid and current safety checks. The point of the question was "Have you ever been accused of CSA and/or have you ever perpetrated CSA?" My answer to both was no. Later I found out that the reason they asked me specifically was that there was another ministerial servant in the year prior to me arriving, that had moved into the congregation and was accused of "inappropriate conduct." I don't know any more details, so I won't speculate. But that was their weak attempt to "protect the congregation." As I've been learning about the problem with CSA in the organization since I left, I thought back to that weird conversation with the elders. They were just so useless. And so is the GB. It was in Sioux Falls South Dakota in 2010.

    • @DiffiCULTChildhood
      @DiffiCULTChildhood  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

But to your point, are you saying that if someone is accused of CSA, they just need to be asked if they were accused by the new congregation Elders and if the response is "no," then the Elders will proceed with the appointment to Elder or Ministerial Servant in the new congregation? If a man who moves into a new cong was accused, it would be in their letter that goes to the new congregation from the old one. So there would be no point in asking.
Also, my point is that the Elders asking was more about legally protecting the congregation than actually taking effective measures to protect children.
Oh and for clarity, Falon and I usually sign our comments. But I thought it was obvious that this it is me, Jason, responding.

@@DiffiCULTChildhood i said nothing about appointments in my comment. I said if one is being asked it has to do with an accusation in your past. And following up by asking if you have EVER been involved in CSA is proper.
I believe that accusations against primary legal guardians should be reported to law enforcement for the purpose of investigation by the elders period.
When it comes to outside legal guardian accusations the legal guardians should report through the victims therapist. Therapy should be a requirement; although this provision is not available in all countries sadly. In countries that have accessibility issues of therapists, law enforcement should be used; however its important to note many lands do not have a just system where one is viewed as innocent until proven guilty. It may be a more complicated matter in those lands.
Elders are not equipped to handle legal matters and should only stay in the lane of spiritual matters; which i believe should hault all privileges of the accused until the police investigation and court proceedings are concluded.
At the same time regarding lands where the system is unjust and reporting could lead to a non-investigational death of the accused; proceeding could be very complicated.

You know who was responsable for implementig the 2-Witness-Rule in the Organisation, and didn't change that even after realizing that this policy was used to harm the victims?
It was the one (R.F.) who wrote 2 big (and great) books against the Org and didn't mention the CSA cases even once (as if this problem never existed already at the time he wrote about). He was asked for the reason, and he never admitted that it was a mistake but just said that JWs in this issue are not worse than other religions.
Remember: no one in the GB has become a member of the GB if he hasn't proved to be "worth" to become one. I say it once again: No one. Everybody of them has and had his skeleton in the closet.

That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard that. But thank you for sharing that information. I will look into that.
I tried to read Crisis of Conscience and I found it to be intellectually disingenuous. Raymond has lots of problems with the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses, but then has no problems with a lot of demonstrably immoral things that God does in the Bible.
So I would not put it past him to have implemented questionable policies in his time as a GB member.
And if you can offer any specific sources for your statements, I would appreciate it. Genuinely. Cheers! - Jason

Well having that overseer say casually "this is a child sex offender, dont put him with children", it is shocking that they handle people who did sex crimes like people who behave badly in certain situations and sending them with other people in service to be knocking on doors of strangers, it really sounded like having someone with alcoholism and warning other people to not give that person alcohol.
