Report this correctly. The Stellantis CEO resigned.
Good riddance to Tavares. Hopefully they can now get back on track and not destroy the platform.
I'm from Germany and drive a RAM 1500 and a Jeep Wrangler JL. There is also a strong fan base for these vehicles in Europe.
Fan base not a market
I'm a first time Jeep owner. I'm having so much fun in it. One of my employees decided to get one too. I hope things turn around for Jeep
The new CEO needs to get out there and earn theirs!
Elkann is interim CEO for now !!! Hard to say what he wants
Good, it is definitely good news Carlos. has definitely done more bad then good for Jeep and even the other brands like Dodge and Ram
Got to get back to a $35.000.00 price point. OMG I can’t believe I said that, no vehicle should cost $35,000. 😮
Should lower price of eggs first
Jeeps definitely shouldn’t, but perhaps a clean Shelby Mustang ? I’d pay a little over 35. But agreed, base car prices today are bonkers
How about affordable price points?
I mean my next vehicle may not be a jeep based on their current path.
Probably found out what the 4xE recall cost will look like and ran away....
Willy's 41 diesel! Wouldn't have hurt my feelings
Thanks for the video while on the road!
Tavares was Stellantis CEO. Head of the whole shebang., not just JEEP.
News on the road.. Great stuff. Nice to see Ryan on camera . Putting my video out tomorrow. Little different take.
Greetings from Georgia (as you’re passing through)
Save the V8...bring back a Diesel option....heck they can shoe horn the hurricane in it. Drop the 4cyl Dyson turbo lol. I honestly pre ordered the Scout Traveler with the harvester option. Maybe they won't have door corrosion or junk 4xe battery that can't currently be charged.
Door corrosion was fixed with shims between hinge and door. Loving the 4xe and charge it every night : )
@CarnesSurefire Give it 3 years. It will happen....
@@cleveland53015 buddies in the middle of a lawsuit because he’s had all sorts of issues with his 4xe and Jeep is being a lil beetch about the whole thing. Like Lemon Law type issues between the battery and the transmission.
Same here, I’m a huge Jeep fan and have been for quite some time but they’re working real hard to drive me away. Not sure what my next vehicle will be at this point despite 5 new Jeeps in the last decade for our family. I can’t express just how disappointed I am with Jeep and their management.
392 for the Gladiator 🙏
Lowered prices or better incentives. More standard equipment.
They need a different motor, making around 340-350 HP that isn't 100k...
A 5.7l ina gladiator would be nice. Maybe the sky active roof for the gladiator too. The one thing I hate about my gladiator is the 8 speed transmission. It's always searching for a gear
It does that because of the 3.6. I have the 8 speed in my Durango and it doesn't do that as much with the 5.7. The 5.7 should have been an engine option in the Wrangler and Gladiator. It is plenty of power for the platform.
He was most likely told to step down. For all the reasons you just listed. 5:08
Biggest gripe with the hard top is that there’s no way to get the open air-ish feeling to the back seat passengers. Usually my kids are back there and I bought it for them to have fun. The freedom panels are great, but I switched to soft top immediately because of it.
Good riddance Carlos. Maybe Jeep will give us what we finally want now
i have a 2018 after crashing a 2021 and been wantin to go back to a newer year but 22 to 25 have made me increasingly iffy about buying. If stelantis makes a good moves (lowers price/fine tune the packages) Ill get a late 25 or 26.
Biggest thing for me is the packages have too much fluff with the stuff i want.
A two door soft top, both cameras, good screenwith blue tooth for music, start stop, 35s, engine start from keyfob, and maybe experiment with hybrid one day. The rest is small amounts of extra weight I don't want on the jeep.
I have a habit of lightening the weight of my jeeps as much as possible then working on looks from there.
i bought small amount of stock after I heard he stepped down just in case theres a nice turn around in the next couple years.
I don’t agree with you about Europe not wanting v8s. Australians are known for loving there v8s. Nissan sells so well over here cos a lot of people love the v8 they have. Australia asked for 392 and were denied, saying it’s only made in left hand vehicle. This is another mistake on Jeep not hearing what there customers are asking for.
Question out of ignorance, is nobody going to hold the CEO accountable? I’m sure he made massive profits/ bonuses while he came come to destroying the brand.
Had three different Wranglers over the last 20 years along with a Cherokee and a Liberty. The Liberty was the best vehicle I have ever owned. Anyway, I recently traded my last Wrangler on a Grand Cherokee. The 2.0 engine on the Wrangler was awesome and completely trouble free over 80,000 miles. But, now my (almost 70 year old) back really appreciates the Grand Cherokee. I want at least 100,000 miles out of it.
My two favorite brnds...Jeep and Harley Davidson.....Both destroyed by European CEOs....American brands need to cater to Americans.....Hopefully Jeep gets it together now.....Still want to see an Extreme Recon Gladiator with an upgraded engine
I am British ( which also makes be a European), and I could not agree more. Americans understand Americans , we dont. And you need a true American to run your amazing brands. I love jeeps and Harleys, because they are designed by those who know you to the core of your soul
A 4 door jeep rubicon cost $66,430 for the 4 door in the UK. £61,125
You guys, should use the original 1941 Jeep seats, in your 2025 "1941" Jeep build
Ok does this mean they will bring the 392 wrangler to Australia now like so many Aussies want. Not buying one untill the 392 comes here period.
Tech here. I heard from our tech advisor that John Elkann was actively working to remove him ~3 months ago. He's a majority share holder and the Fiat heir
They need to quit the dealer markup, dealer finance bs and fix the vvt surge on the 3.6 manual... yeah i bought one after my jk and there's still no fix
I own a fleet of jeeps. 2008 Commander. 1997 Grand cherokee and my 2020 Wrangler JL Covid edition.
My finger is on the order button, but they have yet to release Mojito. They rather build stock vehicles than take customer orders. My salesman has three orders waiting on Mojito.
Been waiting to buy a Jeep. Here's hoping things change for the better.
Thank you for the update
We bought our first wrangler used and love the hell out of it but with our growing family and trying to save on gas we wanted a grand Cherokee 4xE new. Now we will have to wait and play it smart to see how this all plays out because we don’t want a stellantis car if another company takes over. It will make resale and maintenance an absolute nightmare
I really like my Jeep and don't regret buying one. But I'll never do business with Jeep again after this weekend. So I went to trade for a 392 and all I'm going to say about that is, they really have some nerve considering how they were jacking prices up and now to offer not even half of the original MSRP on trade and they were cheating me on the discount that was offered on the 392! So I will definitely not be getting a 392 after that BS!
You're not buying a vehicle or dealing with Jeep, you're buying a jeep from the dealer. Jeep only suggests a price at which the new vehicle should be sold to the consumer(msrp stands for manufacturers suggested retail price) and has nothing to do with the final price negotiations with the dealer or the value of your used trade in.
Do you want a 392? Fight for the best deal. Go to another dealer. What's with this whining?

Hey dudes, I'm in Australia, got a 21 Rubicon JLUR. We don't have anywhere near the options you guys have. We love turbo diesels here and finding one is like finding gold. I love my pentastar (except for fuel consumption). If Jeep sent all their turbo diesels here they would've sold like hot cakes. You have to know all markets you're targeting not just domestic.
Quality Reliability and Value. Minimum city epa mpg 22. Multiple piece hardtop so easier to remove.
Great vid. The more modular roof would be better for 4 doors for sure. I use a TOPLIFT PRO(TM) V2.0 for my 2 door Sport S/ Works great. Thanks DRC.
Just picked up a fully loaded Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe for $18k off sticker. This abrupt resignation has me worried that ALL of our 4xe's are ticking time bombs and they know it.
You need a Top Lift Pro. Best $900 I ever spent.
Lower prices going forward, slash pricing on everything in stock via massive rebates across the board including the 392. Keep the 392, add a 392 that comes with 37” tires for JL and the JT. And while there at it get finance rates down to .9 or 1.9 percent for 72 months.
They need to provide a trim that gives you front and rear lockers with the rock track. Full-time transfer case all warranty $53,000 only then will it be competitive with the Bronco
I am a big mopar fan as well as a Jeep fan. I have a gladiator rubicon, and my wife has a Durango rt. I am happy to Tarvares gone. He was well on his way to put Dodge and Jeep in a deep hole.
I think the Jeep Wrangler vehicles themselves have been improved significantly over the past few years the main issue is the pricing. $15k USD over priced in a lot of cases.
I'm keen on agreeing with you, but the car market has become competitive. Now let's pitch Jeep against Jeep it's improved but they're trying to attract new customers who want value for their monies. The price of Jeep and the cost of time to cater for your Jeep has grown significantly; cost of corroded doors and hinges, intermittent faulty Uconnect, engine and coolant leaks - and this is all related to Jeeps wranglers less than 5 years. A fully loaded Jeep shouldn't cost more than $50k in my opinion.
@@Kingsley-vj3ih Oh yeah, like I said. The price is out of sorts. Fully loaded Jeep 4 door for $55k USD is about right. Nicely equipped for $45k USD including hard-top, auto trans. and rear locker. QC can improve for sure.
@@Kenneth_R I agree! If QC is top notch people may overlook the pricing. Also I personally think they need to provide upgraded parts for the previous years like the Uconnect with OLED version, upgraded coolant reservoir and the galvanic corrosion sorted properly.
Personally, I want to see Jeep move forward without losing its ruggedness.
Day 38 asking Jeep to bring back Mango Tango Pearl!
Funny enough their current ceo that just resigned was about to sign the final document bringing that color back.
let's get that 392 Gladiator now.
Bring back detonator yellow and other fun bright colors. Get the 4xe for the gladiator on the market. Bring pricing into reality. Owned 98 TJ and currently driving 08 JK. Want the gladiator 4xe as my penultimate vehicle.
Can we flippin get a 392 Gladiator already??? I need one to match my 392 Rubicon!!
This is simply a wake up call before its to late. I dont think its to late yet ..
First off thanks for sharing the info. What I think they need to do is get away from the eletric marketwith the jeeps and then lower the prices, this things are not luxury Vehicles they're off-road toys.
Even if they came out with the sport models having even less accessories than the next trim up. This would make it more affordable for your high schoolers getting out of school and having a great vehicle to get out and do things with. At least that would help send the sails in the right direction.
Yeah, I'm so glad he's gone. Matt and Ryan, we should start a GoFundMe and have all the members kick in and buy Jeep. We are the ones who can get this brand back on track. "Who is with me, man?"😁
What about the Recon?
We did it!
It would be cool if they brought some of their concepts to life. For example the Jeep Five-Quarter or the jeep nukizer 715 concepts. They were styled after the old jeep J-10 pickup and I feel like if they brought that retro body style back and added it to their lineup it would sell like hotcakes….. as long as they sell them at a reasonable price.
Agreed all jeeps should’ve came with the removable side hardtop panels.
Well hopefully they get this price gouging fixed. $40k just for a base is nuts and actively thinking of moving away from Jeep now
I'd love to see a Wrangler with a V6 4xe automatic transmission, and option for V6 turbo 4x4 automatic transmission
Having a module system for the jeep hard top means more chances for leaking. They are looking for more marketing gimmicks to try to justify those prices which I don’t think will be coming down at all. Carlos Tavares is the CEO of Stellantis who owns Jeep.
Jeep having no issues here in Florida. Jeeps fly off shelf
There is a detriment to being able to pull those back windows out. So many accessories actually use the bolts from the hard top which means they will not work with the SOT. Some shelves, some side bags, etc.
Don’t forget that the Gladiator is thanks to FCA… as Stallantis took over in 2021
I'm hopeful that Stellantis NA improves the qualities and products for the Jeep brand.
I have been pricing a Rubicon X and the 392. Both have similar options just a different engine. How can Jeep say a 392 engine cost over $30,000 more then the 3.6?
Freedom of speech.
Because people purchase them at outrageous prices.
Did he resign or was he fired… and they have disclosed it as he resigned..
As a very, very, entry level jeep ( renegade ) user, wanting to upgrade soon. I ordered my renegade with the powered my-sky sunroof. I love the god damn powered hardtop. My question is this : how come all wranglers have a powered canvas roof ? I would probably upgrade to the wrangler if that renegade powered ( my sky ) hard top was offered. Canvas tends to weathered and rip over time..would there ever be a powered hardtop for wranglers ? Thanks...
No.
@dvader3263 thank you
I’m happy the CEO left abruptly. Maybe needed change will happen. Let’s get back to the off roaders. I have plans to buy a 392 while I still can from a company that builds Jeeps.
Stellantis needs to come clean about our 4xe Jeeps!
You guys should do a meet and greet down here.
Paly for CEO! I'm 1 year into owning a Jeep, I already can tell you the price is way off and a striped down Rubicon with 60s on 37s would own the market. Yes 60s and 40s, but from the factory, that would be crazy, or would it.
I think the Jeep/truck market needs to start building down, building quality and start moving away from obscene prices and ridiculous packages that don’t sell in this economy.
He did not leave of his own decision- that is not how executive leadership happens. The Board of Directors voted him out; that’s it.
A real jeep owner. That got me giggling so bad. It was like a power swing from jeep Chad. 😂
Elkann and the board told him to go or be fired. The board should go as well for how long they put up with the all electric philosophy of Tavares. Hopefully they fix the 95B recall first as many 4Xe owners are screwed
I would be surprised if he wasn't told to resign
Is that off road app really good?
side windows popping out are cool - hard top that leaves the long rails on side and rear window is meh-
No he was asked to leave don't kid yourself. Don't get too happy he's still on board
I wonder if Carlos Tavares also approved the new euro grill to be on the 41 tribute Jeep. 🤔 add that to his list of mistakes...
Hopefully the new CEO goes back to the long & straight classic American look of the OG JL (Original Grill). 🇺🇸
Tavares knew he was to resign few days after, when he visited the dealers.
And most likely, he did not resigned, he WAS resigned… :)
From what I read Tavares handed in his immediate resignation after a meeting with the board of directors. It sounds like his resignation was more of a firing.
They need to lower down the prices dramatically and fix the quality issues before they can appeal to the masses. Imho Jeep should be owned by an American company who understands American market and consumer!
I think at the executive level a one day resignation means that he was fired.
He was about to get fired. The $7.5 billion dollar deal for the battery plant was contingent on him not being apart of it 😂😂💀
I feel that Jeep has out priced the normal buyer. Take for example that a 392 cost more then a 3/4 ton fully loaded diesel Ram 🤷🏼
Fix the damn 4XE! It sucks not being able to charge and use battery.
Every car company right now is having a hard time
Jeep,Dodge and Ram just need to prepare for the law suits and bring back the hemi
Chances are they might remove those brands for maybe up to 4yrs, and then come back out once they sell their inventory thats sitting, restructure and get back on track. Im sure they wont delete the brands all together.
I believe it was a quit today or be fired situation.
They could save several thousand on the price if they wouldn’t charge for engine choices or transmissions.
Carlos Ghosn and Nissan come to mind to compare Tavares to.
To your question: I hope the new CEO corrects the prices.
Oh...and before you runaway, ALL the Bonuses you received while here, Stays Here.
No sir I have to disagree
The RAM is visible on the road in Austria and Germany more than Chevy or Ford . Yes not in numbers comparable to it’s home market but still noticeable
yet somehow the Jeep dealerships still come off like they are doing you a favor for charging msrp
What can Jeep do? Pretty much nothing, they jacked prices up 50pct, loaded their vehicles with too much tech, I mean power seats in a Wrangler, giant displays, battery off road vehicles, killing the Pentastar 3.6l for a turbo 4, the mind boggles. Also, it's absolutely criminal that the Gladiator never got a 5.7l Hemi, at least, and the vehicle will more than likely be discontinued. It's a good thing tarring and feathering has fallen out of fashion, because Tavaras should be tarred and feathered.
Jeep ram and dodge needs an american company to come and rescue them
