The twins were fun to ride when VTC and Tri city coaches had them from back in the day

Os twin Mack e os GMC foram os ônibus mais bonitos em todo mundo. E o som dos seus motores eram sinfonia para os ouvidos.

Nice old Twin Coach. It sounds like this one has been re-engined with diesels. Lou Fageol didn't believe in diesel engines for some reason so these coaches were originally in the US anyway all gasoline powered. That is part of the reason Flxible bought out Fageol Bus in the late 1950's.

Actually Lucerne's Twin Coach buses were delivered with a diesel engine in 1948 and the engine you can hear in the video is still the original one. The "DT" in the last part of the typename shows that it is equipped with a diesel engine, which was the case for around 230 buses after WWII. The Engines were produced by Hercules in Canton, OH after plans by Frank Fageol. Besides buses with diesel engine there were also lots of Twin Coachs powered by propane.
