The REAL Theatre of dreams...crowds were unbelievable back then...we are soooo lucky we got the NSS though...The new track deserves bigger audiences....racing is always top class...Hyde Road should never have been lost...imagine a GP there ??
Some great footage there, but unfortunately, the title of the film is misleading; it is not from 1970. The video was switching back and forth between different years. The Belle Vue team lineup (and some of the racing) was from Hyde Rd on April 6, 1974, where the Aces took on Sheffield in the Frank Varey Northern Trophy. Then, there was footage from the Aces against Coventry in a British League clash, on July 6th, 1985.

Just cannot believe the crowds. What happened. I remember a speedway star had a map of uk with all the teams on. Must have been 40 tracks
