Introduced as International parent Navistar’s answer to Ford’s medium duty F-Series and GM’s #Hummer H1, the International MXT is essentially a more civilized version of the brand’s MXT-MV military tactical vehicle. With that in mind, the big difference between trucks that ride C-130s and trucks that ride two-lanes, like this beast, is the expert utilization of a purpose-built, all-wheel-drive chassis that lowers ride height by roughly 17 inches. That chassis centers a common #International CXT cab between an MXT-exclusive bed and an MXT exclusive cowl that’s finished with an International DuraStar grille and International 9000 Series headlights. Those components, along with the truck’s #Navistar VT365 V8 and 5-speed Allison transmission, are then shipped to the pros at Midwest #Automotive Designs for final assembly.
