  • Hey friends! I love this wire wrap pendant design and thought you might too! It's not a fully documented tutorial, but it is a start to finish video. Watch me make this gorgeous holiday wire-wrapped pendant using a square (well really more rectangle) cabochon! I hope it inspires you! This is a very traditional wire wrapping style, using sterling silver, square wires for the frame and half round for the wrap wires. If you guys love this wrap, I can make it into a fully documented, real time version. Let me know what you think! Happy New Year!

      Fortunately you can slow it down to, what's the lowest? .25 speed?

      You are so welcome! Thanks for your input Kay! I'm looking to see if I should add timelapes videos to my set of work or not... Your comment is appreciated and I'll make us the real time version of this pattern too.

    Most excellent approach, I will definitely try this one out. Where do you find silver flat or half round wire? And is it tarnish resistant?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bonnie, I order wire from Riogrande.com, they have all of the wire in most shapes. This sterling silver is not tarnish-resistant, but you could search for Argentium Silver wire within Rio, I think that's supposed to be more tarnish resistant. They also have articles about the wire types and their properties. Hope that helps!

    Susan, is this a Peitersite cab? It would be nice to know what stones you are using in your videos. Sometimes the look isn't as nice with other stones.

    I Love this wire wrap. I'm new at this. But I have a piece I'm trying to finish. It's not quite a rectangle. The top is smaller than the bottom. But I think I can figure it out. What size wire did you use?

    • @lisaland-parker2163
      @lisaland-parker2163 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    When doing a project like this, how much 1/2 round should you use (approximately)? I need to order 1/2 round wire and am not sure how much to order. Thank you.

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For this project, 4 feet onhand will be more than plenty of half round. I will have tools and measurements in the tutorial like all the rest of them. You can find this info in the first 20 seconds of all of my videos. Thanks again, Kim!

    I love your pliers can you say what brand they are and where to find them?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use several brands but in this one, the turquoise blue ones are Xuron pliers. They are nice and light weight, the tips are nice and 'petite'. I hope that helps!

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to find them in several places online.

    What method do you use for straightening your wire?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your question, Cindy, I normally do straightening with Nylon Jaw pliers but have recently learned there is another little tool that looks like 3 rollers attached together. I just got one and so I might do a quick post later on it and let us know how it works.

  • @MegaZidzid
    @MegaZidzid 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very unique technique and I like it. Until 07:00 it looked perfect.
    It would have been better if the stone was polished on both sides, and without leaving the ends of the wires left on the backside cause they could easily get caught by the clothes or scratch skin.

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks M! At 7 minutes, rather than using them for design, you could simply cut the wires away and make it a more unisex pendant. If you watch until the end, you can see that the back curls are all tied down. If you build the curly designs correctly and tie loose wires down, snagging and scratching are not an issue. I sell jewelry worldwide for over 15 years now without this issue. I hope that helps and inspires you. Thanks again for your comment.

      I was wondering how folks would feel about timelapes. I can make it a real time video if you'd be interested? That's what I'm trying to find out.. if you all would like this to be a fully documented, real time tutorial instead of a timelapes.
