Settlers is my top3 favorite game of all time, Settlers 2 gold edition or settlers 3 ;) I really wish they would just make a game like this again, simple but fun.
I subbed. For your attempt to pronounce Volkers name. It is “Wertich” which you basically say “Were-tick” because most English people struggle with the “chhhhhhhhh”
I played this game so much as a kid that I would dream vividly about it. The sequels never scratched quite the same itch for me. By the way, check the in-game options for SVGA mode ;)
Make as many road connections as possible. The more connections the better the routing of transporting things works. Because if a way overfilled it will find an alternative routing to deliver the items.
@@justvideos3216 make a megalopolis! One thing I did find with the original, you only have the castle with one way in and one way out and haulers wouldn't walk past each other (or knights for that matter). I think the donkey mechanic and to a lesser extent, keeps, made a big improvement in Settlers 2
@@FuLongX I'd agree. The whole Roman campaign and ironing out some bugs of the 1st one. Settlers 1 was still amazing when it came out. Side note, I had the 2nd one for the nintendo ds. Settlers in my pocket was amazing. Shame it had a game breaking bug after a few levels.
Played this on my cousins Amiga 500 back in '94. Probably the only game he legally owned. Loved it to death.

@@frankdehaan9640 and relaxing.
Settlers 3 threw my world into chaos as it has no roads. I grew to love it though.
Settlers II 10th anniversay edition is what you want. I'm still playing it today on PC. I loved Settlers when it came out on the Amiga.

I got really into Settlers 6 back in 2010. It's nice to see the series roots.
@@gebs123 it's a classic
I would say that Settlers 2 is the real classic.

Im more a fan of the original 2nd part its not so heavy on the eyes :D
@@franz265 I'd agree, and more complex but smoother running. Ships could take an age though if you did something wrong.
