Still not in the Hall of Fame. If this doesn't prove the HOF's total lack of credibility, nothing ever will. Paul Rodgers the best vocalist in rock history. These guys should have been in 20 years ago.
@@jt-ce7vo I agree completely. I think the HOF besides have no credibility also has trouble inducting bands who have a long list of personnel, different singers, etc. Who goes in from that band, who is going to be left out and angry, etc. Deep Purple going into the Hall of Fame in just the last few years is ludicrous. Their Mach 1 lineup arguably the best band in history. And Jethro Tull not yet in the HOF. It's absurd.
"The sky is burnin, I believe my soul's on fire" You are I'm learnin, the key to my desire" Quite possibly one of the most awesome rock lyrics ever written. Great song about passion. You almost want to take out a restraining order on Paul, the way he growls "BUT I'D RATHER SIE, THAN SEE YOU WITH ANOTHER MAN!"
I am not sure why this is so highly criticized by some. For their age and how long they have been doing this, they sound very good to me. My goodness, people age for heaven's sake.
I think some people want every time a song is played to sound like the studio version but live. A live band has a lot of dynamics going on you are able to control in the studio. that said Long Live Bad Company and Paul Rodgers!!!
They’ve been together for so long that they could do this in their sleep and not miss a beat. Most people after they see Bad Company live , say it’s one of the best shows they’ve ever seen. They are polished and age like fine wine. Keep rockin ✌🏻
My thoughts exactly! The entire Free ensemble were extremely talented musicians, wildly underrated (for the most part) - Paul Kossoff was an absolute genius for example..but his less is more approach has seen him overlooked as one of Blues'/Rock's all time greats. I've lost count of the amount of people i've introduced Free/BadCo to....incredible that they seem to remain so under the radar in certain circles.
@@kotosquito Yep, I've been transcribing this song for the past couple days and holy shit the groove on that guy. Simon plays the drums in straight time but swings the last quarter note with Boz Burrell on bass reinforcing it. Just incredible. And I'm a metalhead and this impresses me!
I got to see him live once in fort Worth, awesome music, awesome musician and awesome band, then I got to see him live on Axs TV live from the gas monkey bar, they just rock it out
PAUL AND SIMON are locked musically from THE FREE DAYS, yeah they kick ass and this is a good feed off the equipment, thx for uploading, this just made my day
I loved Bad Co. since I was a teenager, now I am 50.Still loving them. Paul Rogers is great. Love the Seattle bands that do Bad Co., Johnson Bros. Kick Start.
Paul is ,I'm learnin the key to my desire! lol He is great & seems to get better with age, from Free ,Bad Co,etc. the most awesome 64 year old man I have laid eyes on.....or heard! ....♥ Love this post! ♥
What an underrated rock guitarist Mick Ralphs has been...like another Mick (Ronson), he exhibits TASTE rather shredding like today's speed weenies. Less is definitely MORE...
Paul Rogers (or is it Rodgers?) is awesome, even after all these years. He, and the band, have aged gracefully like vintage wine and sounds and taste even better! Keep on rockin Bad Company!!! (from a black man that loves good ole rock and roll!)
I'm 63, and i reckon I have heard some great singers in my 63 yrs, My point being, This guy Rodgers is the best blues rock vocalist I have ever heard, and If you can tell me who is better, I may have to reconsider, But I'm not sure Iv'e got this right first time,
Why can't TODAY'S teenager get inspired to play Rock & Roll like these old guy's still can???? I miss great musicianship and just great music. Hip Hop has created toxic music and terrible arrogant attitudes. I will be catching Bad Co.'s 2010 tour and I applaud these guy's for still keeping it real!
My 5 year old grandson has been loving grumpa’s music. Love Aerosmith dream On and now is living this one too. He tells mom and dad to put pa’s music on when going for a car ride. Love him dearly.
It was so great to see you in Sept ! What a badddd assss concert Paul! Glad I got to shake your hand . See you next time around . You're devoted fans R&L ❤️️
Just saw them live in Raleigh, NC on Tuesday night. All I can say is WOW! Paul's voice is still just as incredible as it was in the 70s. If you get a chance to see them live, do it!
Been listening to this songs studio version since it came out (8-track) because I don't like live too much, just now listened to it live for the first time, lead singer has power and a little bit of soul in his voice, who knew ? Impressive 👍
I as well seen at the San Diego fair last night! OMG wasn't he so good! Like fine wine, gets better with age! Hot Hot!! I am ready tosee them again. btw i am female my name is Renee
My DVD player was broke for a little bit, I have had this live concert DVD ever since it first came out. No question Paul Rodgers is one of the top rock vocalists, I miss live version is probably better than any other especially the original recording this dude is way better than fine wine as it ages. I saw the reunion tour in 2009, Mick Ralphs was a train wreck kind of, hard Rock in Hollywood Florida but it was incredible. Also saw the Firm in Daytona Beach in 1986, that was the real
Well said! I love this man so much, I think if I could only listen to one voice for the rest of my life it would be Paul Rogers,he gets better with age! and yes very HOT!!!! xoxoI believe my soul's on fire! xoxoxooxxo
I think he looks and sounds better than he did when he was 20. He looked pretty wasted in some of those Free filmclips. He's always been my favorite singer!
This man is THE hottest thing to ever come from Britain! With the exception of maybe, Plant. I grew up listening to these guys, and while most performers tend to lose their looks and their voices over time, these two in particular, in my opinion, still got it!
ONE OF THE BEST ROCK VOCALISTS - EVER
Absolutely!
@@donna3465 You Tube also has BAD CO. LIVE at Wembley with "Burning Sky" --- a KILLER VERSION

Yes, totally.
When Rock music was real and meaningful to us. Gotta love Paul Rodgers! He's the most soulful talented singer that has ever existed.
some of the best best rock music ever made was from Bad Company!!!!!!
+wesley lail You are preachin to the choir............
+wesley lail True Story!
And yet not in the Rock and Roll HOF......makes no funkin sense!
I agree. The entire band is bad ass! From the drummer, guitarist, bass, and of course Paul has the voice that won't quit. Keep rockin' bad co.
Paul Rodgers is in a league by himself. Just sayn 🔊🔊🔊✌
The voice, smooth like a shot of whiskey, a little velvet and chocolate.
Paul Rodgers could sing the F - ING Phonebook and it would sound BAD ASS !
No back up singers necessary.
John Byrum I hear you John!!! I could listen to him sing all day!!!🌹🌹🌹
All while the Sky is Burning!!
Great way to describe his voice.. and completely true too!
Yeah, but what's he smiling about? He's singing about being hunted down and imprisoned. Just askin. The man DOES have a great voice.
As good live as in the studio. One of my favorite vocalists.
ONE OF the Few That can STILL ROCK !! My Granddaughter heard me listening and she got hooked !
Paul Rogers was born with the best voice in rock music...only Robert Plant in his prime...and possibly David Coverdale, he is the ultimate frontman
Yes, & don’t forget Freddy Mercury!
Jej. They are my top notxh
Rob Halford beats them all!
Don't forget Lou Gramm Mate!
Plant all the way.
Best version of burning Sky ever

Yet Patti Smith got in there. {rolls eyes}
On a Thin Lizzy video somebody asked how come Madonna was in the RRHF while Lizzy weren't: I said maybe Phil Lynott didn't like giving blow-jobs 😂
Nobody this good deserves to be in that SHAM!
Paul Rodgers+Free+Bad Company+The Firm+PR and Queen+His solo work,Too Good for the Hall!!!!!

Simon Kirke is one of rock's most under rated drummers. He just flat lays down the killer groove, and never waivers. What a player!
Yeah, this song in particular demonstrates Kirke's skills
