How is that thing not just a huge pile of rust? I'm amazed!
6:55 Yes! Livin' large with your own porcelain tub on the bus! :D
I would love to see this thing drive out of there!
He did I saw that video frist
When I was a kid in the early ‘50s I attended Stafford Baptist Church. We lived less than a mile away and could see the church from the front windows of our farm house. Imagine my surprise when a friend who used to live nearby in Stafford posted a couple of photos of the old bus! I’m not sure I ever road in it but I seem to remember it parked in the church lot. I’ve just started to watch your videos of it’s “resurrection” and am looking forward to the personal nostalgia trip. Many thanks to you!
Hey Wow Thanks Doug! This is Great! These first few videos are bad quality but get better as you go...lol. This video is only the 3rd time I've filmed myself. I am planning a church reunion with members of the church from this time! Welcome aboard!
@@CountryBoyGasGarage Thanks for the invitation, Jason. I would love to be there. I do live in Colorado so I’m not sure I would be able to attend. We’ll see. I have so many wonderful memories of my time at Stafford Baptist. My dad’s memorial service was held there a number of years ago. A lot of great folks have passed through there over the years. Now, back to your videos!
@@dougrabick6315 Thanks! I really appreciate You watching and for the feedback!
Such a shame that good vehicles just get parked in a abyss for whatever reason
Okay. Forget my question on the bus ownership on your latest vid. Got the answer here. My 5 yr old son is fascinated by the process of cleaning and starting old cars.
Its great that you have all this video from the beginning.
Thanks!
Technically, isn't that a waterbed?
Haha! Guess so
Can’t go wrong with this one with Jesus on your side👍
That's right! Thanks! 👍
9:12 superior, not superide 😄 love the videos
Finally someone noticed...lol! That was before I learned anything about the bus or who made it. Hey Thanks for watching!
Oh wow, I remember those Woodsy the Owl bumper stickers from the 70s! (yes, I am older than dirt) 2:50 Was really interested to see that.
I'm glad that sticker has lasted!
That thing's in great shape for as long as it sat there
I know, it's amazing! Thanks for watching! 👍
Thanks for looking at the oldschoolbus I have been working on, will watch your work as well
Thanks!
That's awesome it was able to drive out makes you wonder why it was parked in the first place
Very cool busy ! I love it mine is a 1954 gmc superior I’d love to have the shorter version but it’s nice having the room I’m averaging 20mpg weighing 10,500 lbs

@@tomrausch7014 Why?
@@CountryBoyGasGarage
The first one I read said you got it running.
@@tomrausch7014 oh...lol
Thats a awesome find! I just imagine how long its been there
Follow the story as I find out more information! 👍
That's a beautiful old bus
What a great find in the woods, all I ever find are ticks and yellow jackets. Trying to get caught up from the start of this project, I may be staying up too late..I need to pace myself. Digging this series
Haha..Hey Thanks Bruce! I really appreciate it! 🙏🏻
Diggin this ole bus! Wow its come a long way since this video! Can't believe how much crap (literally) was in it! You are certainly the right people to own her and do her justice. 🤘
Hey I really appreciate That! Thanks! 🤘
Thats cool you were able to get information on it and able to buy it. But had never seen claw bathtub under the bed. Thanks for sharing
Hey Thanks for watching! 👍
Love your story. Your one of the hardest workers I've ever seen
Hey Thanks! I appreciate That! 👍

Such a great find!! Just watched the washing it video and it turned out great!! Came here to check the story 😅
Hey Thanks! I appreciate that!
This will be a awesome skoolie. I saw the wash up video first. Good luck with this adventure
Hey Thanks!
I did, too. That’s what drew me to watch the bus series of him getting it running, driving it out of there, and cleaning it up.
@@richardvarner6636 Thanks Guys!
We used to live in a old school bus it was actually better than the two door caravan 24 feet I think but the bus was better could crawl under the back out of the rain and play car's with my brother great memories, all the best to you all
Very cool. California Karen 789 steered me your way. Thanks for sharing Jason. I drove a school bus 🚌 for awhile. 👍😊
Hey Thanks Debbie!
It reminds me of the bus Forrest Gump road to school in lol! Just missing Dorothy Harris the bus driver. " I guess we're not strangers anymore " lmao!
So glad you’re doing this rehab on her. Beauty. Also glad that you didn’t have a hornet nest to find. Curious on the frames condition
Thanks! I know, right 😊 I take a closer look soon and let you know.👍
I like it!
Thanks Man! I appreciate you watching! 👍
Darn algorithms as I just found your channel. I guess I can binge watch, that’s always fun.
I’ve spend hours plus a lot of gas driving gravel roads in rural Willamette Valley east of Gresham, OR and have seen a lot, such as an English double decker bus, a small wheeled tank, a totally briared over Fire Truck, and many more unloved vehicles. I’ve checked on more than a few to see if their for sale, which is really hard to do if from an electric wheelchair. Most of the interesting ones are slowly rotting awaiting that certain family member that will never get to it. If they finally do it will be metal detecting with family and friends.
Make sure to Subscribe to my channel everybody! New videos soon! 👍
Hey Jason, I just went to Stafford Baptist church this morning and Pastor Geoff Hartt showed us one of your videos. I am Jan Fox. We would love to have you come visit us. Where did you find this?
Several of us would like to come see the bus also.
But definitely plan a visit to our church.
Hey Jan! That's so Great! I definitely need to make a trip up there. Geoff is going to call me tomorrow to talk. Yay!
@@CountryBoyGasGarage oh, we didn't know that. Very Cool 😃
omg its been out there for soooo long. how cool.
I know...right! Looks so cool 😊
Actually the bus has been on the property much longer than 15 years. It was parked in another spot for quite a few years before I helped move it to its present location in the woods. Prior to being on this property it was parked on my family's organic farm under the oak tree for a number of years. I'm thinking it came to the farm about 40 years ago and then to the forest property on the other side of the valley about 25 years ago, with maybe the last 15 years back in the woods out of sight.
@@CountryBoyGasGarage
@@ansonberg4665 Thank You! That is much longer than I was thinking. Everyone wanted to know how it got there and how long ago. It's great to here the back story. 👍
Well, I could add a bit more context: The owner of the bus and friend of mine parked the bus under the grove of oaks on the corner of the farm because he liked to get away from his townie digs and come out and drink beer and play his guitar and sing. Probably around 1981. It was there until mid-90's when it was driven the 35 miles to the forest property and parked in the little meadow downhill from the Main Cabin where my friend continued to use it for beer drinking and guitar playing and peaceful escape from the city. Later it got towed further out in the forest where it has languished in tranquil repose for the last 15 years or so, sharing John 4:16 's message with the surrounding forest and inhabitants, most of whom I doubt can read but may intuit the Natural Truth of their surroundings. At least some of them have chosen to make their homes there, in the bus (already cleaned out) and the engine compartment. - Seems like the bus was on its way back to Mother Earth until you rescued it. I commend you and look forward to its new life with you and Peggy and family. A Good Bus Is Hard To Find.... .
I'm a new subscriber Isaac sent me over good luck and God bless
Awesome! Hey Thanks!
man that thing is cool
Thanks!
So it was sitting here since 2006…. Wow! I was almost finished with my preschool year😭😭😭😭 I miss preschool (2004-2005 & 2006) I was 5 years old when it was first sitting here.
Crazy huh!
Great channel! New sub
Hey Thanks! I appreciate that!
That would be a cool scene for the walking dead lol!
Magic bus
I always thought a old bus like that would make a sweet hot rod pull all the seats put some big mickey Thompsons out back n a big block up front
Heck Yeah!
Really cool old bus! I hope you will completely restore it. I'll be watching your progress.
Hey Thanks! I appreciate it! 👍
Sooo exciting!! That’s definitely a boat toilet. Haha! 😄💛 Got any names in mind for her??!!??
Thanks! I was wondering...lol. I was thinking maybe"Sunshine" because of the sticker by the driver seat but I'm not sure yet.
@@CountryBoyGasGarage Haha!! That’s so awesome!! 😄🌞 I love the song “Sunshine” by Atmosphere!
Harmful to breath fumes but instantly removal of rust is pool acids.
Wtf this dude was cleanliness above godliness! So does the flush go directly on the ground?
Hahaha 😆
I’d assumed the tub was a mobile baptismal from the Baptist church. Guess not if current owners put it in.
I thought the same thing...lol
guessing that sticker over the drivers window wasnt put there by the church :)
Lol...nope. the guy I bought it from put it there.
thanks for the sub
GadZooks, those tubs are 300 lbs empty!
IT's like art just sitting there but yeah, hurry up and get that crap off and yank'er out and bring the thunder!
Will there be burnouts?
YES!!!🤘
I just saw you at function for junction today
Heck Yeah! 👍
Shes a beauty! Love that body style
Very cool. I have the 48 Chevy bus on the vintage bus page
Love the buses! 👍
Love the sticker visible at 05:37
Haha..
Hey Thanks for watching!
@@CountryBoyGasGarage Subscribed! Can't wait to see the transformation.
Did you ever find out who was the original owner of the bus? The interior color looks like the color of the old Forest Service rigs.
Yes. I spoke with him and purchased the bus from him.
@@CountryBoyGasGarage It's amazing that the bus had only one owner sense 1948--that's 70+ years!!
11 long haired friends of Jesus in a short troops microbus!
🤣
Wow what a mess. Did you buy it from the Church or from the land owner? That is going to take some major time and effort. God bless.
I bought it from the land owners friend and they split the money...lol
Thank you!😊
I think the pupils disregarded rule 13 about keeping the bus clean lol
Haha!...Right!
@@CountryBoyGasGarage I just discovered your channel and videos on this bus like watching stuff like this.
I think its safe to say the pupils did NOT keep the bus clean. Shame on them.
🤣
Wish we could find out the back story on how it ended up there eh?.... ok maybe i should watch the whole video b4 comenting lol

Like how DID it get there 😂... So many trees around it, how DID they maneuver it through that jungle lol creepy if you ask me geewizzz
You know what school district it was from be cool to park it in front of the old school if its around anymore
No but i found the church it used to belong to. I plan on driving it there when i get it driving.
@@CountryBoyGasGarage Awesome
@@CountryBoyGasGarage Maybe minus the cunt hair sticker lol.
Did you get the ignition key from him?
No...
From whom did you buy this abandoned bus, I wondered.. Could it be the owner of something abandoned?
I bought it from the previous owner who abandoned it.
That is a marine toilet.
I was wondering
Hola, buenas tardes hermano, te saludo desde Mexico, empecé a ver tus videos, ya me inscribí a tu canal, felicidades por darle una nueva vida a ese bus, cuídate mucho. Dios te bendiga. 🙏🏻
Thank You! I really appreciate that! God Bless! 🙏🏻 ❤
How did you find that bus
Walking in the forest and then Wow!
This would be an epic raised roof, extension, body swap to a longer wheel base with a cat or cummins engine, alison transmission camper/road life build.
lol roof survives for 73 years wants to cut it off
One question how did u find that out there in middle of no where sub to u
I live very near where it was abandoned
@@CountryBoyGasGarage that's cool right there out middle no where.
