I was just watching your video of visiting your mom as Katie for first time. I didnt see any update over the 5 years hoping she came around a bit more over time. The part of her talking to her dog about katie visiting was adorable
Thankfully, Mum did come around over time and we were closer than ever in the end. Sadly though, she passed away in February. I miss her so much, but I'm so glad that we got our relationship back on track before she died. x
@@Cool2BTrans very happy you had that bonding time together. It's awful losing your mum it's been ten years and still hurts as much now as then. Thx for letting me know I love happy endings and sounds like you got one
@@Cool2BTrans Why don't you book a competent image consultant. You're doing a lovely job, but there is a uncanny valley even for biological women. You have to meet a certain level of hotness/attractiveness, otherwise you will be bullied by men.
I just came across this looking into the subject and I think it’s really important to allow for kids and their history too. If a child has grown up with a mummy and daddy or whatever combination it is, that’s their history. I think it’s important to respect their experience and preferences too not only person who is transitioning. I think sometimes we forget that and focus only on the experience of the transgender person. So good on you! Flexibility and tolerance and respect in all directions is key.
At first, I wrote a very negative comment and then I listened to you speak and you’re just a parent speaking about your life. Thank you for explaining.
I've always said hate, racism, and bigotry is taught. Kids are so understanding 😊. I love your story!
100% Thank you. x
Oh my gosh you are so charming, and your daughter sounds like an incredible human being. She is clearly a product of your good parenting.

Thank you for listening to me.
Thanks for that wonderful explanation - each family figures out what works for them ❤
The poem ❤❤❤ of you are comfortable with your daughter calling you dad, then there's no issue!
You seem like a really nice person,
Katie - you're a lady ❤
Thank you x
