It’s amazing how it went from a little visual novel into a billion dollar franchise in a few decades. And it’s still going strong with FGO, Fate/Strange Fake, Samurai Remnant, and more. And I’m happy that I discovered Fate and Type-Moon in 2006 thanks to the anime.
Tbh I agree the other version like the 2006 I think this one will still always be the best version cause when I first heard this I went crazy cause of how good it was especially the vocals and beat
They are actually different. The chord progressions differ in some parts, giving the game op (This Illusion) a sadder, more haunting feel, while the anime op (Disillusion) has a happier, uplifting feel during those same parts.
@@@Eki718 I mean if you can't recognize the events in the op without playing the game can it really be called a spoiler? I mean it's more of a reference or allusion at that point and most ops in general have at least a few of them.
This happens a lot in anime and cartoon content - RWBY basically spoils every volume with the events going on in the OP. I play a game every year - make predictions and fan theories at the end of episode 1 based on the OP and then see how much of that holds up at the end.
To quote best hedgehog, “it all starts with this…a jewel containing the ultimate power”. That jewel being this VN and the ultimate power being what this lead to as the years went by.
_ Bezerker Well he becomes the main villain (in Fate with Kotomine) in the first two routes way late in the story, in HF he just dies... so it makes sense for him not to be shown a lot in the Op.

Seen as two different pieces of music, I like the anime version better, mainly because of Tainaka Sachi's incredible voice and because of the overal incredible orchestal-like composition. However, I think this version fits better with the game!

The voice in this version sounds much more mysterious, which is what the story is at the beginning, when this appears in the game. It also sounds a little less professional, and more normal, as if someone were narrating something, not performing a song.
Gilgamesh disliked this 6 times for being shown in this video only 6 seconds. Really, that is how you treat the Golden King? Entire video should be made of his heroic poses ... and he should be the one singing this - then it would be really EPIC.
there are multiple openings in the pc version of the game (and likely the ps2 version as well) that are unlocked as you beat arcs ect. This, as far as I am concerned, is the most complete version and is likely the same in both the PC and the PS2 version. The PS2 version does have a few extras though, such as the ending scene at Avalon.
@Sephlock I think you misunderstood. When I said remixes, I was referring to the Anime and the 2010 version; there aren't any other official ones :(. There might be some fanmade ones though.
Was this modified? Or was the mirror moon version changed? Or is there something I'm missing? This is way longer and cooler than the intro on the copy of the game I have.
Its not always about the Visual novel too :),if u only read the visual novel,and watch the anime,u'd know like 80% of the full plot and character history

In original VN (2004) we had two openings (for fate and ubw), and this looks like full opening for the song from Type - Moon before they actually released the novel, or maybe something for advertising purposes (given that there is the text in the video).
Considering the fact that it is 1 - a movie with time constraints, 2 - made by DEEN, and 3 - an adaptation (which are never perfect), I think the movie does a pretty good job. I know it's not as good as the VN, but it never could be. It still followed the story very closely, with most of the cuts and alterations for the purpose of keeping the runtime down. Perhaps a series would've been better, yes, but I am still happy with what we got

20 Years can't believe it and im 22 and Fate Stay Night is still one of the best Visual Novels of All Time and definitely in my Top 10 list
