We watched it together and I thought it was great! He didnt like as much cuz he had played the game and apparently it did a weird combo of all the routes. We just saw the heavens feel movies which were also really good! But I think UBW is still my fav route. I had also seen Fate Zero before this, which is my favorite fate thing this far. Next on our watch list is the fate show about Waiver.

Fernando Ramos the rest of Fate is a total piece of shit and milking cow.. this right here is a Fucking masterpiece, regardless of the flaws it's still the best dramatic and romantic anime out there, plus Main character isn't Over powered like other animes of in other Fate series

it's an undeniable fact for anyone who's read the VN that this adaptation is bad lol UBW and HF are better even if I dislike them both because they're the realta nua versions rather than the original everything beyond F/SN and F/HA is disgusting milking I agree but saying that this anime is better than UBW and HF is just wrong... I do however like the animation of this one more because it's closer to the original and gives off a more 'serious' tone to me at least :D
HonestGhost Yeap Fate is composed of three different routes. UBW is the second one. Fate 2006 covers the "Saber route" and there is a prequel that I warmly recommend you : Fate zero, you should have watched it before UBW (my way of thinking) because Ufotable did so many references during UBW :)

It depends on perspective whether '06 or UBW are worse honestly. Pacing and everything on Fate/Zero level for UBW, but the whole "sequel" feel is a large deal better in '06, with most characters like Sakura and Illya getting pretty good roles and development, while the main villains of Fate/Zero actually get climactic deaths, even if the animation quality isn't up to par. Compare with UBW, where, due to the route taken, Sakura, Illya and even Kotomine don't actually get that sort of attention, other than a few scenes and a twist. I sort of see the '06 version as one that, while it's harder to compare to a work that's as highly regarded as Fate/Zero, can actually people a greater feeling of closure, rather than leaving the matter of Sakura up in the air (granted, neither versions actually go into Sakura's rather dark life, but at least she was treated with more value in the '06 version than the UBW version).
Deen version F/S N is very first anime in my life People said that is worst in visual But OST, Impact, visual, directing and everything else is still Best for me I'll never forget saber's first appearence and asking scene

As much as I thank DEEN for introducing me to the Fate franchise, it definitely would have helped motivate the majority of those who watched it to seek out the Visual Novel for more clarification and answers...

DEEN didnt do a good job animating the Original fate route and they put abit of the other routes into this anime. btw if UFOtable animeted "The Last episode" it would be so great
If they hired Ufotable at 2006, the whole thing wouldn't have improved that much except for maybe plot coherence. You see, the Ufotable we know and love didn't exist until 2007 or 2008. Before that, they were another average studio just like Deen was back then.

I saw this on Animax and instantly fell in love with it. It's a blessing Ufotable adapted Fate Zero and UBW, but Deen FSN 2006 holds a very special place in my heart. The same for those that watched this series first.
