The crickets you are talking about are camel crickets. They are very nice bugs but they are blind so they may jump towards you but they are scared of you
Oh hell no… cockroaches?! 😓 I’m living in James right now. And it’s pretty okay except for those showers 😂. Girl I’m stressed about classes and midterms rn. Tests are like 80% of the grade wth
I found your video really usefull! I’m from Spain and my spanish university has given me the oportunity to go to Stony Brook next year, Im really happy to go but I’m a little afraid of what is going to be like Stony Brook next year with COVID-19 and online classes. Do you think classes will still be online in 2021-2022 course? And how good are teachers and online facilities?
At this rate, it seems like most classes will be back on campus by fall (I did hear that summer 2021 classes will most likely still be online though). I think most professors have been very supportive and reasonable during this rough time and I’m sure you’ll have a great time! Good luck and wish to see you here💗
Ayeee cool vid! Would definitely love to see some more stony brook vids as it’s probably my top choice in terms of unis. If you want am idea consider something like a stats video or when you’re on campus again perhaps do a 1 week food tour (Brownie in stony did one but kinda just want more info). I’m quite concerned regarding my academics, my gpa in school was absolutely trash as I simply didn’t try to perform well (I’m actually studying outside usa so its a bit different here). Basically we’d focus on end of year grades and performance on board exams. In short, I moved from new york to Bangladesh and I study under UK curriculum so it’s a bit difficult to explain. But basically I had 3 A*, 1 B, and 1 C in o levels (basically final year exam for 10th grade) and for A levels (11th grade final year exam) I had 3 A’s, 4 B’s, 1 C, and a D. Here these grades are considered quite good (to give you an idea universities like UAlbany, UB grant AP credits to any subject you get C or higher in A levels as it’s integrated into our curricula) but not quite sure if it would hold it’s weight at stony brook or at other unis in general. Im planning to move back to new york for uni but at the same time don’t want to be far outside my comfort zone of NYC. As per my extracurriculars they are probably my strongest point as I’m the founder and executive adviser of a foundation which has helped thousands of underprivileged people in Bangladesh with weeks of food supplies and medicine. P.S dropped a sub and push notifications, hoping for some more stony vids perhaps even story times! Rock on 🤘
Thank you for commenting and subscribing! its great to hear you have an interest in stony. im not the best person to judge but based on your grades and extracurriculars it sounds like you have a pretty good chance of getting in. they also love international students (im not sure if you're considered that tho) ! Ualbany and UB are similar schools academically though so i think it holds the same weight at stony, especially since they're all SUNYs. unfortunately bc of the pandemic, i wont be dorming on campus for awhile and wont be able to do vlogs but i intend to make more informational videos if youd like. thanks!
hey. im a junior in highschool. i am planning on majoring in nursing. i was wondering if you got into the nursing school and i was wondering if i can chat with you and ask questions about the school regards in nursing majoring. thank you!!
Hi, I have got the admission for fall 2021 and I am going to live on campus but I haven't got the faintest idea about which community to choose or what meal plan to choose or what does the meal plan cover do I have to pay every time or not. It would be great if you could guide me on that.
hi! i chose the community based on the room styles. basically, I really wanted a suite-style room rather than a corridor-style room so I searched up which quads have suites. kelly quad and roth have suites if you're interested! and all first year students are required to go on the unlimited meal plan which means that you can enter east and west side dining as many times you want a day :) lmk if you have any other questions
Is it possible to choose where you can live?or its assigned to you..and if it possible to go eat at west side when you live on east side?Im a bit confused here..can you explain plz.thx

So I'm a possible upcoming freshman in SBU and I live relatively close to SBU. Do you recommend I commute or dorm because ngl I do wanna get out of my house
Hi!! So I just got admitted into SBU as well! From what i've read and watched, dorming seems to be the best option especially for freshmans. There are different style dorms, but there are also options and recommendations of different apartments near SBU to live in.
I don’t personally know anyone who’s gluten free :’( but they honestly had a range of foods (with menus that altered daily) so I don’t think it would be tooo big a problem!
Increase the audio volume to full please. Do every one have to be in dorm. Do you have your own room or do you have to share your room with other students ???
pre-nursing is basically an "Area of interest" and it's technically not a major- it just means that you're interested in doing nursing. there are two nursing programs at stony brook: the basic baccalaureate and the accelerated baccalaureate program. the basic one is a 2-year program, accelerated is a 1-year program however you need to have a degree from some other major to apply for that :) anyway as a pre-nursing student you basically complete all the pre-requisites that are needed to apply to the nursing programs
I payed about $5000 a semester last year- not too bad compared to other schools. This current semester, I am paying $0 though because I am not dorming. Basically the dorm and food costs a LOT there !
my major is health science with an interest in nursing ☺️ for most majors i think the experience is pretty much the same the first year bc everyone gets the same core courses down with. after that i think most stem majors all still have pretty similar experiences !
@@leashamartin2007 pre-nursing is just the area of interest you get into if you want to apply to nursing school so its not a problem to become a pre-nursing student (its the years you finish your pre-requisites that you'd need if you want to apply to nursing school). i am not in the nursing program yet though but i know that the nursing school is extremely selective.
