    *This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

    I fail to see why this video has any dislikes..How idiotic. I have just followed it from start to finish and in under 3 minutes my new battery is in and working fine. I checked all the vids out there and this shows the ANTENNA COVER close up unlike other videos. Thumbs up here and cheers for a GREAT video.

    This is the best instructional video that I have watched. Focused, closeups, no hands blocking and tight editing. Thank you.
    He was incorrect to specify a Torx screwdriver, NOT, it is a Pentalobe, don’t use a Torx.
    He probably should have said to Power Off the phone before starting battery replacement and Power On after completion.

    I feel thankful this reconditioning plan th-cam.com/users/postUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 was founded. I was just about to throw out Three old batteries that I thought were completely dead. Having said that, I tried reconditioning them and it took me less than an hour to acheive it! No matter what type of battery you like, the procedure will work.

    This video was well made and I really liked the close-up view that you provided! It was a savior after the ground clip decided to jump free from the phone. And another note, try not to drop the screws that hold down the battery clip, they are VERY tiny and will take about 30 minutes of looking on the floor, with a flashlight, and a magnet...trust me!
    Again thanks for a well produced video!

      PorkChop659,I DID of course drop it and found it in under 10 minutes! God,what a tiny thing! Your comment came straight to my mind,but it was too late.

    Brilliant! I also checked all the videos out there and this shows the ANTENNA COVER close up unlike other videos. Be sure to do this somewhere where the items are safe. Put all the screws in a container. Have a bright light to work with, the right tools (often come with the replacement battery). Do it somewhere so that should a screw fly away you can find it easily. Took me longer than 3 minutes but my eyesight and dexterity is not what it used to be.

      That is called a pressure contact, although I'm not entirely sure about it's exact purpose. Apparently it is for the antenna system in the backplate.

    I've referred to this video twice now (two times replacing iphone 4s batteries). It's super helpful as a supplement to the ifixit steps. I'm in awe of whatever camera you use to get that magnification. It's a shock to open the case and see how impossibly tiny those screws are (esp. for my older eyes).
    In case it helps anyone else, iphones have in the Accessibility settings, a magnifier option, which I found quite useful at times during this process. Assuming you have a spouse/mate's phone to borrow during the process.

    Thanks for the video... I got a new battery, and took it out and didnt take note where how the GROUNDING CLIP was installed. You video showed it (somewhat) First glance of the video appears you put it on top, but re-watching it you put it UNDER the metal plate / plug at the top screw.

    i watched several iphone 4s battery replacement videos and this was the only one that closely showed how to put back the grounding clip... thank you very much... but i don't understand the first two screws to take off the back... i thought that they are pentalobular, not torx... but thank you for the video...

    Thanks, be VERY careful handling the screws, they are the smallest screws I've ever seen, one of the internal ones pinged off and I was lucky to find it, I'm not the praying sort but it helped! Keep the screws and that extra (antenna??) piece in a dish for later, else you will have a nervous breakdown. Good luck these instructions are perfect just be careful!

    Agreed: this is the best of the videos out there on this topic. Your close-up photography is excellent, and very much needed to understand the steps, especially concerning that grounding clip or whatever it is. Also, it's short and to the point. Nice job.

    1. Clear up a large space on your desk Those tiny screws can easily fly out, so this will help you find them;
    2., Make sure you have good light;
    3. Work slowly;
    The screws inside the phone are very tiny and much shorter than the ones at the base of the phone (which must be removed first). They are easily stripped too. I stripped one of those tiny screws because the tool that came with the new battery was too large, so I ended up using a nail clipper to grip the edge of the screw and it worked.
    Watch out when you remove the first tiny screw (at 0.34 secs), leave the phone flat like in the video, otherwise the little piece will fall off once that tiny screw is removed.
    Clear as mud? lol

    Hi I used your video to change the battery in my iphone 4s Old battery was original Apple I spent some time comparing my phone with back off and your video, mine had the little wifi grounding wire exposed with no spring to be seen at all. I followed the instructions thinking it might be clearer with the battery connector out but still no spring. I took the battery out 3 times to check if I'd somehow mislaid it but no, wasn't there. So I went on and changed the battery, powered up the phone and wifi and network powered up fine. I don't understand, is it possible they changed the design eliminating the spring?

    For $20 I bought a URepair battery kit and tried to replace my 4S iPhone battery. I did these instructions to a tee but the battery did not work. The apple icon kept flickering off and on when I plugged it into a charger. I then changed chargers and the iPhone finally turned on but when dead when I took it off the charger. My phone charged for at least three hours. I'm returning the battery. These instructions were great but without a good battery it was pointless. Maybe I should have let it charge longer but if you buy a new battery it shouldn't come to you completely uncharged. Thanks for putting this video out. Has anyone else had this problem?
