I have had a few comments mentioning that the first aircraft is a U-2, not a B52. The U-2 landed a few minutes before the B-52s and I decided to add it into the video. 😁

How do you know when the B52s are arriving? Do they make a public announcement of some sort? I thought that broadcasting information about military troop or aircraft movements was supposed to be kept secret. I've always wondered since every time there is a video of US military aircraft landing at British bases there is always a big crowd at approach end of runway
There normally on flight radar and you can predict when they return, and there’s normally a pattern of when they go out, like every 2 days. There’s also a few Fb pages with experts
It’s a training flight to condition the pilots to the take off and landing patterns of the area. If the pilots landed then took off again, that’s called a “touch and go.” They also most probably performed air refueling training rotations as part of the mission.
Is it a big problem though? You can hear it in the other cameras footage and I’m still getting used to the second camera (don’t have the equipment yet to muffle the wind noise) but of course if you don’t like it, then the problem will be fixed at some point. Thanks for watching anyway!
I believe its part of the U-2's data link relay system. It can be removed or installed depending on the mission. Basically is sends real time/live information and data back to be analyzed on the spot.
What the hell are those lego wheels attached to it????????? Pathetic. I know but such a amazing in your face plane and the wheels are so tiny only joking everyone l love it
The outrigger wheels on the U-2/Tr.1 are only used on the ground to stop the wingtips from touching the ground. They are dropped during the take off run and left behind. They are then reinstalled on the ground once it stops its roll out (hence the speeding car catching up to the aircraft...its carrying the outriger wheels). Not pathetic at all but very ingenious and have worked extremely well for over 60 years.
