You can't loop transport aircraft! C27 pilot: Hold my beer.
You can loop anything.
The question is, is it a good idea.
Concorde was barrel rolled by the test pilots!
Technically the beer will hold itself, due to the postive g's occurring throughout the loop LOL
This for me was the most impressive manoeuvrer - we are all very familiar with fighter jets doing all sorts of spectacular 'crazy' aerobatics, but a transport aircraft doing a loop. Well that really is something different.
The most impresive F-15 manoeuvrability I've ever seen!
Great seeing an F15 chucked about like this, really odd at times too, as it looked so light and nimble for the lump we know the F15 to be..

@@bobsurgranny Well you do know the F-15QA has the all new digital fly by wire flight control system and all new computer controlled flight envelope right? It will fly circles around the older F-15's with the old hydraulic flight control system.
It was in the air as we were arriving; it blew my mind!!!
That is magnificent as the F-15QA is the next level of maneuvers and elegant in flight 😊

I’ve seen a su29 ans su30 perform cobra maneuvers as well very close to the ground as if it defies gravity its literally hovering for long
...and that is a 2 - seater!
The F-15 is still one of the sexiest aircraft. 50 and counting.

Did I miss something? Nothing in this performance appeared to approach the limits of the 30 year old Raptor’s flight envelope.
..maybe in a world where Raptor and Sukhois don't exist

Man the more you see the awesome performance of the F-15 Eagle you realize that it's almost the perfect fighter jet ever to this very day ❤

That F15 was crazy
Remarkable manoeuvrability considering the F-15QA lacks vectored thrust and it’s twin F110-GE-129 engines’ upgraded thrust is apparent with that astonishing steep climb on takeoff. It’s VNE of Mach 2.9 at sea level is crazy.
Edit : “Get in the right-hand lane when it’s safe to do so!”

Mach 2.9 at sea level is total bullshit by Boeing. The airframe is still limited to Mach 2.5 AT ALTITUDE, and even this value can be reached only under exceptional circumstances. Probably the EX and QA, without Fast Packs, are slightly faster than the C, but not due to the higher thrust, but for the lower drag determinned by the addition of the external engine petals, absent in the legacy Eagles.
The Typhoon, Gripen, Rafale (I know it wasn't in the video) and the F16 are beautiful aircraft. The F15, while not as aesthetically pleasing in my opinion, is an absolute BEAST of an aircraft
F-15 aint a beast, its the KING of combat aircraft..hail the return of the king.
Looks don't matter in combat
Tastes are the most diverse. For me, the F-15 (particularly the single seater F-15C) is the sexiest aircraft.

Have never seen a cargo plane do a loop before. F-15QA is crazy. Airplanes can not do that.

When I was a kid in 1977, I watched the then new f-15a dog fight over gila bend in Arizona. My brother was a instructor pilot teaching the IDAF pilots how to fly them. Nothing and I mean nothing even came close to out maneuvering those eagles. They turned like forklifts in the sky. Natural born killers they are...
Compared to contemporary aircraft.. the F-16 would out maneuver it, easily. The F-18 has better high alpha performance.
@@calvinnickel9995 Not so easily, Both are 9 g machines, both have comparable SEP, turn, roll and climb rates. Sure the F-16 has a tighter turn radius, but this is not decisive. It excels in a lower altitude arena. At higher altitudes, the F-15 can outmaneuver it.
Also, we must compare the two in operational conditions. The Eagle has more radius than the Viper, and this means that has the ability to spend more fuel in a dogfight, with the afterburner for example. The Viper must use it with more caution. Also, the Viper suffer far more the drag by external payloads, because it is smaller and lacks conformal hardpoints. In operational conditions, an Eagle is probably faster than a Viper and almost s agile as it.
And probably the new EX has a good advantage.
Strictly speaking,there are no surprises! They can only do so much 👍

My first air display was a couple of de Haviland Vampires doing lazy loops over the beach at Rhyll, North Wales around 1950.
These guys have some way to go before they can match them.
The F-15QA is soooo impressive! It almost moves as if it had thrust vectoring! 😮

Those vigorous pull ups were awesome to see, definitely made some performance upgrades. Great to finally see an F15 chucked about in a demo too!

It is something to see when planes with the size of an Su Flanker series or an F-15 just does whatever it wants within the confines of an airshow space.😳

Got to see that F-15 at Farnborough, its truly insane just how good its high AoA and instant turn rate performance is, especially for a non thrust-vectoring aircraft!
We must also remember that the F-15 wing has a FIXED leading edge! This is even more impressive. A good part of its good high alpha performance is due to the movable air intakes, that act like canard surfaces.
The F15 is just insane. The amount of thrust is off the charts.

The instantaneous turn rate is insane, in some of those shots the pilot was pitching up 90 degrees in less than a second

What A model F-15 did you see? That was the new Advanced Eagle. In the US It’s the F-15 EX. The F-15QA seen here is essentially the same but for the Qatar Airforce. Unlike an A model, this Eagle has all digital flight controls, digital cockpit, way advanced a2a and a2g capabilities, advanced sensors, a much better radar, vastly superior countermeasures and two seats. The only way they are similar is that they are both in the F-15 family lol.

That F-15 is epic. It has gained almost Su-35 levels of maneuverability, but destroys it in payload and avionics.

@@bobsurgranny su-35 has thrust-vectoring..the f-15qa doesnt have thrust vectoring yet still maneuverable.
Su-35S is far more maneuverable, it can carry 8 tones of weapons load and 11,5 tones of fuel internally!
So, how can F-15 match that without conformal fuel tanks and external fuel tanks?
Also, in Ukraine Su-35S was able to destroy highly maneuverable, low flying Mig-29 against the ground clutter and jamming at a distance of 213 km.
That kill, and Ukraine Su-27 kill at 217 km distance are by far the longest range kills in the history of the air combat, and they speak volumes about Su-35S electronic/sensors and weapons quality.
In that regard F-15 doesn’t have any meaningful advantage.

Real air combat is all about supersonic speed and mid-transonic speed..f15 and f-16 have excellent turn rate at this speed and can match the russians, subsonic speed the russian sukhoi are best, best for airshows but get your arse kill in real combat.
@@Semendrija123 dont believe russian specs, they tend to exaggerate, s-400 air defense system and t-90 tank were the best in world according to russia, but perform poorly in ukraine.

Why is it over all the years I went to the tat and over major air show from the 90s onwards we would never see an f15 display for like 25 years, even tho fairford was just down the road, thoroughly disappointed I missed that now I’m in Australia

The F15 was far more impressive than I thought it's capabilities were. Not as agile as the SU 35 (which I have seen) but the US know how to rectify this if ever needed.

Awesome video ! Just want to ask anyone on here .. I'm going to RIAT next year for the first time so I would like some advice .. I want to go for all the days , so can anyone tell me if there's a good choice of hotels / can you camp nearby, is there quite a lot of stuff to do on the ground ? ( The person I'm going with isn't much of an avgeek) .. and are there lots of places to get food and stuff ? Appreciate any help 😊
