Simple and elegant: I agree. That's the way to write. I prefer psychological to horror. I like books which build up slowly. No need for any mad action on page one for me. But I can concentrate. Just checked Book Depository. Available at a good price. I also dislike preachy stories. It's as if the writer thinks he/she has something they know that the reader can't possibly.
