Omg I love We the Living! :D Vastly underrated book, and really stands in contrast with her later stuff, tonally. I think she was writing in the Realist school at that point, instead of the Romanticism her later books embodied. People can hate all they want, but Rand was a far better writer I think than she's given credit for. There are very few books that have ever hit me as hard as Atlas Shrugged; I think about that one literally all the time; (increasingly, given the state of things). Really nifty collection you've got! :)

I enjoyed watching your bookshelf tour! Likewise I've read 'Moby Dick' twice. I can recommend a couple of excellent books that are set in a British private/boarding school: 'To serve them all my days' by R. F. Delderfield, and 'Stalky and Co.' by Rudyard Kipling. Both were made into a TV series from around the early 1980's, which follow the books closely. Have you read 'The treasure of the Sierra Madra' by B Traven? Best wishes from the UK!

Nice books, I am also more of a Milton fan but I enjoy Richard the third as well. Cheers, always

Great movie as well; recommend it if you haven't seen it.

Thank you, sir, for this sprawling trip down memory lane. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You have some choice volumes I need to get my hands on.
I don't recall if you've ever done one, but a Top 10 or 5 list or your favourite novels should be a consideration, even though we already know what No. 1 is. Also, if this stubborn community or ours allows, a tour through your music collection, or videos about music in general. I'm curious to see if your tastes align with my own.
P.S.: Your first review isn't most. None of them are. Your worst are better that the best of most.

Thanks very much! I will definitely do a top five novels video at some point, although I feel like I’ve already talked about all of them at length. It’s easy to forget that not everyone watches every video on the channel, though, so I suppose there’s no harm in retreading some of the same ground.
I’ve also been wanting to do some music reviews as well. A few commenters have opposed the idea, but you can’t please everyone all the time. I except I’ll do one soon to test the waters and see if there is an appetite for that kind of content. I appreciate you watching and commenting so regularly!

What a fascinating library you have. I haven’t watched very many of your videos, but I’m impressed with the breadth of your reading.
Agree with the other comment that Ayn Rand is underrated, although it’s about time I revisited her. In five years I haven’t seen her mentioned anywhere else on TH-cam book review channels. That’s a shame.
      Gormenghast is on my tbr.
Thanks for taking the time to make this interesting video.
      ✌️😺
