Thank you! I had swithed off the sliding door switch accidentally on the dashboard and was thinking my doors had failed! This videos saved time and effort👍
Thank you! My car had been in the shop for 6 weeks. My H picked it up and it wasn’t until I drove it that we noticed the side doors wouldn’t open with the buttons, or the key fob. I was on my way to drive 20 minutes to take the car back to the shop. I had just pulled out of the garage and thought… I’m gonna check TH-cam! Thanks so much! Easy fix and I didn’t know about that switch! Yay! I don’t have to waste an hour of my day driving into town.
Thank you! I was just going to take my car to the service center tomorrow thinking my doors have failed. Turns out I accidentally turned off the automatic door switch! Didn't know the switch existed until after I saw your video.
Thanks. We've owned our Sienna for 11 years and I never knew about that switch on the lower dash. Granted, my wife mostly drives it, I rarely do. However, the side doors stopped working. After seeing your video, I went out to the van and sure enough I pressed that switch and the doors now function. Doh!
Thank you, sir!!!1 The button on the left side of the steering wheel helped me. The door stopped while my girl was transporting clients. Resolving that issue was a big anxiety reliever for her. Again Thank you!
Thank you, Steven. Even 4 years later your video still saves me from a trip to the service department to check out the doors. My son’s long legs must have accidentally hit the button below the dashboard causing the door not working all of a sudden. You are God sent! Thank you so much.
Had my husband switch the battery and realize the doors weren’t sliding automatically but thanks to you I was able to press a simple button lol 😂 and it’s working again. I literally thought there was a malfunction or it was gonna cost list of $$ to repair a simple one second thing
This helped me a lot!! We bought this used and I noticed the button on the back door didn’t power open the trunk and I thought it was broken. But now I realize it is not broken! Thank you!
Thank you! After ten years my doors stopped working. Lots of little things have gone wrong with this van and until I saw this I thought it was just another loss. 😊
Thanks for the clarification on the rear door non-motorized lift from the tail button. It was so weird as I bought this used and wasn't sure if it wasn't working. Overall I'm thankful, because my 1 year old knows how to hit that button and if it was motorized it could damage the door if my garage is closed or much worse, pin him between the rear door and garage.
Thank You for this! My 2020 Sienna LE side doors stopped working on the "auto" switch. I was about to go trouble shoot when I decided to query the problem. Your video saved me a lot of time ! It was the switch under the dash.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm guessing one of my kids hit the power door button by accident. I was ready to make an appointment and spend a ton of money on diagnostics. THANK YOU AGAIN!!
Just bought a used Sienna. Had an Odyssey in the past and it would open by pressing the rear button. So thought it was broken but it’s working as expected it appears. Thanks for making this video. I tried all kinds of stuff.
Wow you saved me a lot money in this video I almost take to the mechanic to check the sides doors and back door I just went get a 2011 Toyota sienna and I experienced this issue but now your video saved me to take to the mechanic I appreciate it for this video thank you very much
Thank you sir!! I think that my mechanic might have hit that little Power Door button when he was working on the van. I didn't even know that it existed!
Oh my god!!! It worked!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!!!!! Today, 2 sliding power doors and the power tail gate were not working all of sudden. They were working fine yesterday. I googled it and reached to your video and got a solution. It was due to the Power Door Off button under the steering wheel. I didn’t know that. It’s now all working great. Thank you sooooo much again!!! Oh and I thought the back door has a problem as it didn’t motorized and automatically open but now I know it’s normal and not a problem. Thank you soooooo much!!!! Liked and Subbed!!!
All I can say thank you, thank you your video was a blessing I was going crazy why my Slidding doors were not working I was just about to take it to a mechanic thank you very much and God bless you
There is 1 more set of switches that would disable the rear doors. On the edge of each rear door there is a toggle switch that one may have accidentally toggled up while cleaning the car. This switch is a kid safety feature that would not allow operation of the rear doors from inside when the toggle switch is in the up position. There is a label on the door edge showing this.
Thank you! I don’t know how the switch got turned off but I nearly cried when out doors stopped opening. Watched this video, pressed the button and like magic the doors work again.
Thank you so much. I accidentally pushed the switch to shut off the power doors. I’ve owned the sienna for 6 years now and never knew that switch existed 😂
I have a issue with 2012 Toyota Sienna Awd limited, right sliding door open buy the left sliding door by drive side is not open when i try to close or open it make two times Beb Beb but not open or close
Omg, thank you soo much, I was about to take my car in and immediately went to TH-cam first and saw your video...apparently someone must've hit the power door off button.
Steven i am having a problem with my 2019 Sienna where is will open with power but i get the double beep when i try and close it. What would cause this problem?
the double beep means there is an obstruction usually. could be a bad cyllinder but more likley could be misaligned maybe you had a wreck? the easiest way to try to fix it is to tey to adjust it. while its open push both cylinders all the way up and try again
I have a question in regards to sliding door!!! my 2011 sienna power button on top of the console doesn't work anymore only just the back door. Do you have a DIY tutorial on how to fix it?
Thank you for the video. I have a 2013 SE SIENNA. the back door can open automatically if i push the button on top of the backview mirror and the button on remote control. but when i try to close it by pushing any of the button: the one on top of back view mirror, on the remote , the one on the botton of the backdoor, it wont close, there is only 2 short beep sounds. (it should be a long beep sound and after that the door will close automatically). i tried to reset the battery, not still not working . is there any way that I can fix this issue? thank you very much!
My back door hatch will open with the keyfob and button up on top in front... but not open with the handle on the door or close with the button on the hatch door. Any ideas?
Thanks bud.. having a problem identifying the fuses, or fuse, for the right side sliding door.. would you consider doing a video for identifying fuses?.. specifically for years around the 2005 toyota sienna.. and the door fuse or fuses.. thanks in advance, if you decide to do it..
Thank you, I thought I've broken my wife's power sliding doors when my knee hit the power switch without realizing it. I'm not really a Toyota Sienna kind of guy, I'm more of a Tundra guy.
Thanks. My trunk door opens with the power button on the inside and the key fob, however when I press the button in the trunk to close it it won’t close - it just beeps.
Thank you! Just changed my battery and the power doors and back door wouldn’t work. Sure enough, I must have hit that front button when I unlatched the hood.
i got 2021 Siena, when I push the button open or close, there’s no any sound. And the ceiling light button is not working as well.. my power door off button is off. Everything is normal, why this happened?
I have a 2008 sienna Le. The problem I am having is sometimes the automatic rear lift gate will not open with key fob or from the inside over head switch
Thank you! I had swithed off the sliding door switch accidentally on the dashboard and was thinking my doors had failed! This videos saved time and effort👍

Sorry I got it reversed. Toggle up to allow rear door operation from inside. Toggle down to not allow rear door operation from inside.
That is the child safety lock. It wo t allow the door to open from the inside manually or automatically

Sometimes the passenger sliding door of our 2014 Sienna LE, it will power open but then the kids hop out and it won't power close. Mechanical issue?
