Thank you! I was just going to take my car to the service center tomorrow thinking my doors have failed. Turns out I accidentally turned off the automatic door switch! Didn't know the switch existed until after I saw your video.
Thanks. We've owned our Sienna for 11 years and I never knew about that switch on the lower dash. Granted, my wife mostly drives it, I rarely do. However, the side doors stopped working. After seeing your video, I went out to the van and sure enough I pressed that switch and the doors now function. Doh!
Thank you! I had swithed off the sliding door switch accidentally on the dashboard and was thinking my doors had failed! This videos saved time and effort👍
Thank You!!! I was ready to take my van to the mechanic, but your video saved me from doing so. The disable button had been accidentally activated. I simply pressed the button, and now everything works electronically! The door is really heavy for me and I have a young grandchild that we transport. The sliding door was painful to open.
Thank you, Steven. Even 4 years later your video still saves me from a trip to the service department to check out the doors. My son’s long legs must have accidentally hit the button below the dashboard causing the door not working all of a sudden. You are God sent! Thank you so much.
Thank you! My car had been in the shop for 6 weeks. My H picked it up and it wasn’t until I drove it that we noticed the side doors wouldn’t open with the buttons, or the key fob. I was on my way to drive 20 minutes to take the car back to the shop. I had just pulled out of the garage and thought… I’m gonna check TH-cam! Thanks so much! Easy fix and I didn’t know about that switch! Yay! I don’t have to waste an hour of my day driving into town.
Thank you, sir!!!1 The button on the left side of the steering wheel helped me. The door stopped while my girl was transporting clients. Resolving that issue was a big anxiety reliever for her. Again Thank you!
Just bought a used Sienna. Had an Odyssey in the past and it would open by pressing the rear button. So thought it was broken but it’s working as expected it appears. Thanks for making this video. I tried all kinds of stuff.

Oh my god!!! It worked!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!!!!! Today, 2 sliding power doors and the power tail gate were not working all of sudden. They were working fine yesterday. Thanks for the clarification on the rear door non-motorized lift from the tail button. It was so weird as I bought this used and wasn't sure if it wasn't working. Overall I'm thankful, because my 1 year old knows how to hit that button and if it was motorized it could damage the door if my garage is closed or much worse, pin him between the rear door and garage.

There is 1 more set of switches that would disable the rear doors. On the edge of each rear door there is a toggle switch that one may have accidentally toggled up while cleaning the car. This switch is a kid safety feature that would not allow operation of the rear doors from inside when the toggle switch is in the up position. There is a label on the door edge showing this.
Thank you! I don’t know how the switch got turned off but I nearly cried when out doors stopped opening. Watched this video, pressed the button and like magic the doors work again.
