CLARIFICATION: I do believe that believers "go to heaven" when they die, but that's not the point of Christianity, nor it is the end of the story. I don't believe in soulsleep, but I also think our focus should be more on spreading the kingdom here and now than going to heaven when we die.
@redeemedzoomer6053 So, in other words... "Going to heaven" is biblical? While I understand that our sole focus should not be getting into heaven, I would point out that Jesus didn't die on the cross so that we would spread his kingdom, he died on the cross so that we could have eternal life with him.
That point is very clear in the video, especially if this isn’t the first video of yours that someone is watching. However, it seems that many people lack basic interpretation skills, particularly when it comes to Christian content on TH-cam. It’s unfortunate, but your message is spot on and much needed!

What era of history is the best time to be Christian? The Apostolic Age? The ‘50s? The Middle Ages? No matter what ear you’re in, the correct answer is always “right now.” Christ is King.
I think there was the least amount of confusion during the Apostolic Age (30-100 AD). The trade off being that Christianity was illegal and you faced death for being a Christian.
That's why the institution of the church is so important. it's not simply just a place of reunion with like-minded individuals. The Church is part of God's kingdom here on earth so it should be treated that way.
Jesus went to the grave for three days and nights. The thief went to the same place, he did not rise to heaven before Christ. "I do not pray that you take them out of the earth but that you keep them from the evil."

Yes. We can’t think about salvation as escaping this fallen world. We ought to think of it as changing this world to conform to God’s glory. That’s why Jesus spent so much time teaching about things that we ought to do on this earth.
I have to disagree, Revelations makes it clear that the world is doomed to despise God. We can change people, but no the world. Helping people understand God is great, but if are expecting to change the world than you will be disappointed. Jesus made this very clear that we should love God, and our neighbors, but he also said that world will reject us just like it did to him.
@@QseftJohn Indeed, it is written that this world is doomed to destruction upon Jesus’ return, but he will remake the world and we shall rule beside him. That is the New Heaven and New Earth
Heaven and Earth are BOTH correct. We will “inherit Earth at the end of the ages”. Until then, we will enjoy paradise (literally) just like the thief on the cross that Jesus told would be with Him in paradise.
@@edcarson3113 that’s your human thought. I know it to be “paradise” and not Golgoth, hanging dying from a cross or that the rapture came THAT day (it obviously didn’t) and Jesus and the thief brought Heaven to Earth THAT day.

It's a whole realm with distinct divisions for specific purposes. Paradise is one of those divisions. That's why Jesus told the thief, that day, they'll be together in that division.

I think the author of the video is very close to falling into Christian nationalism, very focused on the cultural transformation of society, when the legacy of the Church throughout history is more a side effect of Christianity than the central point of it. For some reason Jesus Christ said that his Kingdom was NOT of this world, because what is done for the Kingdom now does not necessarily have to have a visible effect on Earth.
@pascalarancibia5199 lol you must not watch much redeemed zoomer. The only group who does not agree that you go to heaven when you die are the “Soul Sleeper” anabaptists who were thoroughly rebuked by Calvin and every other reformer. TLDR: Nothing wrong whatsoever with talking about “going to heaven”.
There is a problem which this video intends to adress, that christians talk about going to heaven as if it is the point of this life and believing in Jesus. It isn't. The true goal is to build the kingdom. Spiritual heaven for us will be a mere transitory stay.
The main problem with the main focus on heaven is that it implies that eternity is spent there, when it isn’t, it’s spent on the New Earth. The authors of New Testament epistles were all waiting on the Lord’s return rather than waiting on their death so they could spend eternity in heaven, which isn’t biblical.
look at how many people are going to explain to you what you already know for making a factual statement, agreeing while being disagreeable is so weird.
Paul said believers are asleep in the ground and will wise first. Why in the world would a person in Heaven be transported back to the their rotting corpse to be raised up and ascend to get ......a new body...they already have one if you believe they are in heaven now. Fact is they are not. None have ascended except Christ.
@ the spirit of believers return to their bodies made brand new - glorified bodies. The Bible definitely implies that believers go to heaven after death. Take Paul’s verse in 2 Corinthians 5:1 - “For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” The problem with the focus being on heaven, however, is that most believers are under the impression that heaven is where eternity will be spent, when that isn’t the case at all.

Thank you for such an insightful and inspiring video! The emphasis on the Gospel being about heaven coming to earth rather than escaping earth resonates deeply with the biblical narrative and aligns beautifully with the historic Protestant understanding of God's Kingdom. As a Protestant, it fills me with joy to see this theology affirmed-it reflects the Reformation's commitment to the redemptive scope of Christ's work, not just for individuals but for the renewal of all creation. This message truly captures the hope and transformative power of the Gospel. Keep sharing this truth!
Yes but in the book of revelation it says that when God comes back he will destroy the earth with fire just like in the times of Noah. All of God's wrath will be poured out. All the buildings we have here will be destroyed just like in the times of Noah. Then God and us will 'Rebuild' Heaven on earth, which i am looking forward to. I think we have to remember what it teaches in the book of Revelation and what is to come for all the earth and the people left on it at the time of God's wrath.
So, how far "up" does your concept of heavens go? All the way to the edge of the known universe? Because, you know, above the clouds there is space. And space is "quite long". That would means "heavens" is literally the rest of the universe from Earth. @@BodyOfChristIntChurch

“My kingdom is not of this world” “I go to prepare a place for you, if it we’re not so, I would have told you” Let’s not forget about 1 Peter 3, talking about the earth burning up like the days of the flood
When Jesus says, “My Kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36), it’s important to consider the context. Jesus is speaking to Pilate, explaining that His Kingdom is not like earthly kingdoms, established through force or political power. Instead, His Kingdom is spiritual and operates on a different plane of authority. However, this doesn’t mean that His Kingdom has no relevance to the earth. Throughout His ministry, Jesus demonstrated that the Kingdom of God was breaking into the world through His teachings, miracles, and ultimately His resurrection. For example, Jesus taught His followers to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10), clearly showing that the Kingdom has a transformative role in the here and now, even as it awaits full realization in the future. Similarly, in John 14:2-3, where Jesus says, “I go to prepare a place for you,” He is offering comfort to His disciples, promising them eternal fellowship with Him. This does not imply that the ultimate goal is to leave earth permanently and dwell in some far-off heaven. Instead, Scripture makes clear that God’s plan is for heaven and earth to be united. Revelation 21:1-3 describes the “new heavens and new earth,” where God will dwell with humanity, restoring creation to its intended state. The “place” Jesus prepares is a promise of this eternal communion with God, which will culminate in the renewal of all things, not the abandonment of earth. As for 1 Peter 3, you’re likely referring to 2 Peter 3:10, which mentions the earth and the heavens being destroyed by fire, this too is often misunderstood. The fire here is not about total annihilation but rather purification, much like how the flood in Noah’s time cleansed the earth without destroying it completely. Peter clarifies this by stating in 2 Peter 3:13 that we are awaiting “new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.” This aligns with the consistent biblical message of renewal and restoration. Creation is not discarded but liberated from its bondage to decay, as Paul explains in Romans 8:21. The overarching narrative of Scripture reveals that the Kingdom of God is both present and future. It is already at work through Jesus and His Church, bringing transformation to the world now, while also pointing to the ultimate fulfillment when Christ returns and God’s reign is fully realized. The Kingdom is not just about going to heaven after death; it’s about God’s reign breaking into the present world and culminating in the restoration of all creation. Passages like John 18:36, John 14:2-3, and 2 Peter 3 emphasize different aspects of this truth, but they do not negate the reality of God’s Kingdom at work on earth today. Instead, they reinforce the hope of a fully renewed creation where heaven and earth are united under God’s perfect reign.
@mendoza2489 When he said "Thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" He is talking about the end of the world and his Kingdom coming down to earth.
@ While it is true that the ultimate fulfillment of God’s Kingdom involves the final renewal of creation (Revelation 21:1-3), Jesus’ prayer, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10), is not limited to the end of the world. Instead, this prayer invites God’s rule and will to be actively realized in the present, not just in the future. When Jesus proclaimed, “The Kingdom of God is at hand” (Mark 1:15), He initiated God’s reign through His ministry, death, and resurrection. This reign continues to grow as individuals and communities submit to God’s will. The Church plays a vital role in advancing this Kingdom, demonstrating God’s justice, mercy, and love in the world today. The prayer in Matthew 6:10 is an appeal for the alignment of earth with heaven now, as believers participate in bringing God’s will to bear in every aspect of life, from personal transformation to societal change. While the Kingdom will be fully realized when Christ returns, this does not negate its present reality. Jesus demonstrated this in His miracles, teachings, and actions, which showed that the Kingdom was already breaking into the world. For example, when He healed the sick and forgave sins, He was embodying the transformative power of God’s rule. To suggest that “Thy Kingdom come” is only about the end of the world ignores the ongoing work of God in the present. Scripture clearly presents the Kingdom as both “already” and “not yet.” It is already here in the lives of believers and the Church, but it awaits its ultimate fulfillment when God makes all things new. Therefore, the prayer in Matthew 6:10 is about actively living under God’s rule today while anticipating the glorious future of the fully consummated Kingdom.

That’s a modern dispensationalist and gnostic interpretation of revelation. The interpretation that Presbyterians and most historic Christians is that this Earth will be redeemed, not destroyed. New doesn’t mean a new thing was made, it can be “made new.” Think about it like this. When we are baptised and believe and have faith in Jesus you can say we were made new. Think about it like that.
Not all pre-millenialists are dispensationalists. Even though dispensationalism is pre-mil, there many other traditions that are pre-mil and reject dispensationalism. This earth will be destroyed so a New Earth can be built. That's why Jesus' kingdom is not of this world.
@@EthanMurphy2005But we will leave the fallen flesh behind right? I've always read what it says, that Earth won't last and there will be a new. The new creation must be holy, just as God is and if it has a history of being fallen that would kind of always linger, compared to a completely new creation. An analogy is when we talk about a new phone, it's a completely separate device. Not a factory reset of an old device device, if that makes sense.
@EthanMurphy2005 2 Peter 3:10-13 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." Without dispensation, you get all kookie and start making up stuff clearly established in the Bible for certain people, friendo.
I don't think that it's necessarily our earth in the future, it may be, but I lean toward a whole new universe or something like the sorts in the future. Here are the reasons : (I added brackets to highlight specific parts of the text.) Revelation 21:1: "Then I saw a [[new heaven]] and a new earth, for the [[first heaven and the first earth had passed away]], and the sea was no more." This suggests the present universe may actually cease to exist, to be replaced by something entirely new. In the Bible the word heavens (the greek word ouranos used in this passage and the next one I will give you) is often used to talk about the sky. It can either refer to the physical heavens (e.g. the earths atmosphere, outer space) OR the dwelling place of God) Another verse that helps support this, 2 Peter 3:10-13: "The [[heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire]], and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare... But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a [[new heaven]] and a new earth." So this is why I lean towards the idea this points to the destruction of the current universe, followed by the creation of a new one.

As a Christian who grew up in the church, left, then came back with a desire to truly know the scriptures this is not a surprise at all. the church has done a poor job with this topic and highlights how little Christians read their bible
I think it's the media that promotes the view that if we are good people we will go to heaven. Those who read their bibles know that there will be a new heaven and new Earth, and that we will reign alongside Christ in the new Earth
I love your message about Christians focus needing to be on bringing the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, as that is the whole message of the Bible, and our vocation and calling as Christ followers. I want to say this with as much grace as I can, because I truly believe in the work you are promoting for the Kingdom of Heaven in your stewardship of the Reconquista movement that you and others are facilitating for the body of Christ. I wish you had more grace, and understanding for evangelical protestants. I agree with you that many evangelical churches are missing the mark with their messages that can produce lukewarm Christianity, but there are also many evangelical pastors and churches that are fully doing the work of fulfilling the great commission. I'm a part of an evangelical protestant, nondenominational church in Nashville and they are deeply spiritual, working in the local community, facilitating my University through the church, among many other fruitful ministries. I've only been a part of this church for the past 4 months and I'll admit, I was initially skeptical of their effectiveness in their ministry, but I've come to see how much they truly love one another and how deeply they teach the Bible and rely on the Holy Spirit. And they aren't just preaching about "Going to Heaven," but building the kingdom of Heaven on earth. I don't think its fair for you to talk about evangelical protestants as ineffective for the gospel. Rather, as believers, we need to promote unity in the body of Christ. "For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another" Romans 12:4-5. "I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgement." 1 Corinthians 1:10 I know this was a long message, and I don't know if you'll even see this, but I just wanted to say again, I really believe in the work you are faithfully doing and I've really enjoyed watching your videos for a while now, I just hope you have more grace towards evangelical protestants in the future. If you're ever in the Nashville area, I think it would be great if you came to my church to see their ministry and the work they are fulfilling to advance the gospel, even if you have theological disagreements with them.

You can get far simply following the Bible's instructions but keep in mind that the actual core of the entire deal is that some people can hear God, and you'd be an absolute moron to ignore them. This is nothing to say whether your "pastor" can hear God. I personally know unbiblical heretics proclaim themselves "pastors" all the time. You can usually tell they're lying because what they preach clearly contradicts God's past words... but God's words are infinite, eternal, and always in unity.

Not entirely sure about this, but isn't the new earth a different place? I interpreted it as we all get bodily assumed, the old world gets ditched, and God makes a new one that fulfills the old.
That's how I read it too new heaven and a new earth the old one is getting ditched fits into the orthodox idea in a way of the entirety of nature having fell we're not the only thing that dies. I think Satan gets into the current heaven, Earth and heaven subsequently becomes hellish then like the ark those who are in Christ leave this place through him and live in the new earth/heaven.
2 Peter 3:10-14 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall I burned 1 up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
As a JW, I can agree with most of everything said in this video, especially the parts about our future hopes rest on making the earth into a paradise again where there is no sickness, suffering, or death. @redeemedzoomer6053 So, in other words... "Going to heaven" is biblical? While I understand that our sole focus should not be getting into heaven, I would point out that Jesus didn't die on the cross so that we would spread his kingdom, he died on the cross so that we could have eternal life with him.

Yes. We can’t think about salvation as escaping this fallen world. We ought to think of it as changing this world to conform to God’s glory. That’s why Jesus spent so much time teaching about things that we ought to do on this earth.

@ the spirit of believers return to their bodies made brand new - glorified bodies. The Bible definitely implies that believers go to heaven after death. Take Paul’s verse in 2 Corinthians 5:1 - “For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”
The problem with the focus being on heaven, however, is that most believers are under the impression that heaven is where eternity will be spent, when that isn’t the case at all.

“My kingdom is not of this world”
“I go to prepare a place for you, if it we’re not so, I would have told you”
Let’s not forget about 1 Peter 3, talking about the earth burning up like the days of the flood
Orthodoxy teaches that heaven is a state of the soul when its experiencing the presence of God. Same with hell. Christ says the kingdom is within you.
Jesus's followers were expecting him to take over as King and rule on earth. So he told them repeatedly "my Kingdom is no part of this world"
When Jesus says, “My Kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36), it’s important to consider the context.

Won't THIS earth be destroyed and a new one be made? Revelation
That’s a modern dispensationalist and gnostic interpretation of revelation. The interpretation that Presbyterians and most historic Christians is that this Earth will be redeemed, not destroyed. New doesn’t mean a new thing was made, it can be “made new.”
Think about it like this.
Think refiners fire. Not destruction
@EthanMurphy2005
2 Peter 3:10-13
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."
Without dispensation, you get all kookie and start making up stuff clearly established in the Bible for certain people, friendo.
I don't think that it's necessarily our earth in the future, it may be, but I lean toward a whole new universe or something like the sorts in the future. Here are the reasons :
(I added brackets to highlight specific parts of the text.)
Revelation 21:1: "Then I saw a [[new heaven]] and a new earth, for the [[first heaven and the first earth had passed away]], and the sea was no more."
This suggests the present universe may actually cease to exist, to be replaced by something entirely new. In the Bible the word heavens (the greek word ouranos used in this passage and the next one I will give you) is often used to talk about the sky. It can either refer to the physical heavens (e.g. the earths atmosphere, outer space) OR the dwelling place of God)
Another verse that helps support this,
2 Peter 3:10-13: "The [[heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire]], and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare... But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a [[new heaven]] and a new earth."
So this is why I lean towards the idea this points to the destruction of the current universe, followed by the creation of a new one.

Thanks for everything and God bless you!
"I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgement." 1 Corinthians 1:10
I know this was a long message, and I don't know if you'll even see this, but I just wanted to say again, I really believe in the work you are faithfully doing and I've really enjoyed watching your videos for a while now, I just hope you have more grace towards evangelical protestants in the future. If you're ever in the Nashville area, I think it would be great if you came to my church to see their ministry and the work they are fulfilling to advance the gospel, even if you have theological disagreements with them.
I am sorry. Nothing will make me approve of non-denominational churches.

This is nothing to say whether your "pastor" can hear God. I personally know unbiblical heretics proclaim themselves "pastors" all the time. You can usually tell they're lying because what they preach clearly contradicts God's past words... but God's words are infinite, eternal, and always in unity.

Now, if heaven is the new earth, Is hell also going to be on the new Earth?
“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
Luke 23:43 KJV
The logical conclusion of “Kingdom Theology” is Catholicism
Not entirely sure about this, but isn't the new earth a different place? I interpreted it as we all get bodily assumed, the old world gets ditched, and God makes a new one that fulfills the old.
It's a recreation and renewal or resurrection if you will, of this world. It's not ditched. It's resurrected.
It's more of restoring the Old/Current World.
