Thx for this video. Will get my P20 today (the price was much more attractive) and was a bit worried about camera-quality, but I think that's unnecessary. 40MP RAW of the Pro is sure a great thing, but then, when I use my phone to take photos, it would be mostly situational snapshots. If I want High-Quality RAW, that's what I've a DSLR for.

Imperio Group. Honestly the Samsung probably has the edge, especially the amloed screen. Need P20 pro for that. P20 pro too for camera nerds. Any of these are excellent. IPhone X still edges it for overall design and flare but fails bigtime with the price. This is where Huawei is strong. I am considering a P20 lite. Still an excellent all rounder and has fingerprint sensor on the back and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Or if I have a money no object approach P20 pro. Samsung P9 + just as good but I like that P20 has the Apple notch (a finger to Apple - although I am Mac user), but also that you can turn it off.

At 4:50 talking about how the p20 pro doesn't pick up the shadows, its because there are none! The cloth casting the shadow looks like it moved in between each shot.
If you like to use Snapseed and VSCO before posting your photos on Instagram, I say go for P20. What the Pro does, you can do manually with these apps + you can adjust things to your liking. I got the Pro and it's hell trying to bring the shadows back up so you can see more details, but the image just ends up looking distorted
I must agree the P20 is just much more consistent . I like the looks of the P20 it doesn't matter about the portrait mode. I am old there is no hope . Lol

Could you ask Huawei if they r planning major updates to the pro because the cameras on the regular p20 is virtually the same as the mate which they had a chance to get right, they need to work on using the more powerful cameras on the Pro model

I bought the p20 one month ago, and the main camera works great even in Auto mode, but the front Camera 24MP seems to have some troubles in focus. Most of the selfies that I've taken have a little bit of blurr in the faces. Is this normal?

I bought P20 and it can shoot in rgb 20 mp not only 12 mp so now i don't know which i should use. No reviewer said anything about it and i guess everyone used 12 mp?
Don't shoot in 20MP it's worse than 12MP, I personally did closeup of 6 different comparison photos, and 12MP came out with a bit better exposition and resulting image is strangly sharper than 20MP one. There is only one thing I can recommend shoting 20MP RGB, and that is for close-ups for plants leaves etc...

This is a software comparison. P20 pro has a larger sensor, you can download better camera apps like GCAM which is probably the best one to produce you quick shots. But if you are one of those people that like Manual mode for shooting raw images, then P20 pro is one of the few devices right now that can be compared to the almighty nokia lumia 1020, although lumia still produces better raw pictures. 1/1.7 P20 pro sensor is no joke.
My non pro p20 is so inconsistent with the quality of pics. Have to pray that my pic will be clear when taking pics. No experienced photo guy here. Even without zooming you have to keep a very steady hand to get a clear shot. When zooming very little..its a complete blur. No image stabilisation? I guess?. Maybe I got a bad unit and maybe a not a great point and shoot in auto mode?. So hard to tell with all these stellar reviews on youtube. Most youtubers get free devices $$$$ from manufactures and of course most will praise the products they receive

What I think is that you really have to make sure that the pictures are exactly taken in the right position and nothing is changed in your environment. Where you talk about the nightmode picture the one with the jeep and the green brick tiles; You said on the p20 you could see the shadow on the green bricks and on the p20 you don't, but did you really take time from what the shadow has been? No you didn't! On the picture from the p20 the curten or whatever thing is hanging straight which makes the shadow on the green brick tiles meanwhile on the p20 pro the curten thing has been blown up by the wind which makes a change in the picture and therefore you don't see the shadow. Well that's obvious if the picture isn't the same. So how can you really make your point or review about that picture and some of the others? Take time next time to make sure you don't have these mistakes as your review doesn't make sense or isn't worth listening and watching

The Pro by default captures at 10mp by pixel binning the 40mp sensor.
The skin color is not the same in selfie mode, p20pro looks a lot more... Umm whiter i guess?
